How useful will they actually be in regards to their main role? I mean...can they couch/ effectively defend against cavalry?
Awesome work. Always good to see factions/ campaigns aside from the East and West (and even the Eastern Front doesn't receive as much attention).
That sucks to hear. However, we can't blame you if the passion and enjoyment faded away. Good luck in the future; maybe someone else could use the work completed so far?
And same with Seregruth, actually. Never played MoW - I thought maybe this mod might be a reason to pick it up.
Darn fine work. I wish more Skyrim mods had creatures this amazing-looking.
Great work! I hate that they repeat that line so often in-game, though...
Lovely screens. Nice work!
Pretty sure it's just the K98. The Romanians often used the Mannlicher M1895 I believe, but they used a lot of Mausers and Vz.24's as well.
Agreed; if you're going to include a swastika, it should just be a smaller one under the eagle, like the actual 3rd Reich coat of arms. Just having a big-arse swastika on a flag is simply gaudy and tacky.
Many colonists felt that they should not have to help pay back the debts Britain accumulated through wars and other national spending. To add to that, Britain also laid claim to lands that belonged to non-English/ anti-English settlers and colonists prior to the Revolution (mainly through the Seven Years' War), who were even more against helping to pay back British debt.
To be fair...the in-game hat really didn't represent the Great Seal on the actual cap very well :x
*cowers from downvotes*
Sent me to the Gamefront link; could try searching there if it's still acting up?
Also, cheers and thanks for the release! :D
First picture reminds me a bit of the Battle of the Crater.
Oh God. These screens are beautiful D':
I know the Arma2 engine is limited in this sense, but any hope for bayonet/ melee combat that isn't too awful?
By the looks of it, this is my favorite map so far...large, open, but still war-torn and entrenchment-ridden. Hopefully the framerate issues improve in the future, because I tend to have awful FPS despite the fact that I can play larger and newer games on higher settings.
Are there going to be Warhammer 40k units in either the Galaxy Empire or Futuristic Soldiers factions?
D'ooooh, this looks pretty. Good luck!
Oh yes please. Live...LIIIIIVE! D:<
That's a little terrifying.
Great news :D
Thanks very much for the patch release! Hopefully I can get things to work much more smoothly :)
That's not him :p
It's one of the player character infected models.
Very lovely...Mr. Lorthax doesn't seem to appreciate it, though ;)
Great work. Particularly loving that greatcoat
What about all their gear? Weapon/ ammo pouches, belt, etc?
Nevermind, got it working. Short, but still good :)
So for whatever reason, the game simply stays on a black screen (with sound effects) when I try to start it. Any ideas?
Where would the team go otherwise, then? Curious to know if there's any other fairly well-organized mod sites.
They should just stick with continuing to make good, solid single-player games. True character development and story (and actual enjoyable combat, for that matter) is almost always tossed to the wayside when it comes to MMO's.
Nice work :)
Though it reloads kinda fast for a stripper clip, does it not?
Simply gorgeous :'D
Excellent work and I'm definitely looking forward to it :)
Nice work :0
Looks awesome! Great job, guys :)
Looking great :)
A classic in Ork literature. Bigmaw was a pioneer of his time.
Awesome screen; great character model and mapping :)
Still a classic and one of my favorites, as well as - like VGames said - very overlooked. Can't wait for the sequel, and hoping it won't simply be another hack 'n slasher. :)
Can't wait to command one. ;)
This looks hot.
Looking sexy :o
Very well-done picture :)
Great work. Loving the atmosphere :)
Nice work. :)
Loving the atmosphere! I have to say, the bottoms of the arches do look odd at where they meet the floor, though...
Great work :)
Very nice work. :)
Nice update. :) Digging the building/ healing vehicle idea.
Excellent job. I love me a well-made, spooky forest setting.
The move pretty quickly, but the dinos still seemed to be running circles around them.
Great preview and nice work so far, guys. :)
Nice work so far. :)
It'd be super duper if you'd post some screens that weren't all horribly motion-blurred up
Definitely would like to see more. +1 Tracker
You guys don't happen to be the ones who made Machinarium, are you?
Either way, tracking. :)
I've been wondering (and sorry if this question has already been asked), if you're in the middle of a combo/ attack chain and you want to stop mid-way or sometime throughout the chain, can you?
It's always been a pet peeve of mine in games that use combo/ chain attacks for you not to be able to stop part-way through your attack to block or dodge. :T
Awesome set of screens, you guys. :)
Eerily awesome screen.
Looks amazing. :) Definitely got my vote.
Gorgeous shot, guys.
Beautiful work. :)
Looking damn awesome. Keep it up.
Goddammit, guys. :T
It's funny, because in one of the photos of a group of scientists/ engineers at the Collider there was a guy that looked just like Gordon.
I'd recommend downloading here from installer; but that's mainly because I hate downloading through in-game (and also because when I download things from in-game, the files tend to vanish if I stop playing on that server for a while, so then I'm forced to download them again).
Very nice. Are you guys going to release the mod on its own or have it be more of an "add-on" like Carpathian Crosses was?
If you were planning on the "add-on" option, you could maybe try contacting Tripwire to see if they'd add the content into the game; if that thought interests you at all.
Indeed, it's Fallout 3. People have added space marine, chaos marine, eldar, imperial guard, etc. armors/ weapons into the game, and with one mod all the major races are even made to replace the main FO3 story factions (Enclave = Chaos, Chinese remnants = Tau, Slavers = Dark Eldar, BoS = Space Marines, Mutants = Orks, and so on).
Very well-done shots :)
Great screen :)
Requesting bear cavalry
Looking great guys :)
Wow, great work so far :)
Can't wait to see how it turns out. The Pacific theater is a completely awesome setting when done right.
Wow, this is looking great so far. :) Here's to you guys having good luck on the project.
Quote from the official site's overview:
"Stalingrad Campaign: The Stalingrad campaign will feature the multiplayer maps used in a campaign layout recreating the battle for Stalingrad from both the German and Russian sides. This will be enhanced with story elements through the form of mission introductions and in-game cinematic sequences that begin and end the campaign."
So, there's a pseudo-campaign, yeah
Damn fine job.
Wow, great looking shots for such an early game. :)
Can't wait to see how the final version turns out. :)
Name some enemies from previous survival horror games that aren't some type of monster/ creature/ evil or murderous individual(s) bent on seeing to your demise, then.
He doesn't look too happy about it :C
Holy damn this looks gorgeous.
That's some damn fine atmosphere.
Great facial design. :)
Very well-done. :)
Awesome job on those tanks
Do want this map.
Those are some sexy looking tanks you have there.
Is that Freud on the wall? :P
Wow, the screens look amazing.
Oooh, a very nice improvement
Well, the pack was decent as far as models and textures and the like go. But unfortunately it completely destroys the pacing and balance of the original version.
Damn fine model.
Great looking bolter. :)
Looks very interesting. :)
Looks simply stunning. Though the video's been around for months now...
Holy damn. Excellent work so far. :) Can't wait until release!
I'm a sucker for more realistic weapon mechanics...so definitely liking what HaJ's bringing to the table.
Bah...a tad disappointed here, but good luck to you all the same. :)
Nice little video update and FAQ; thanks. :) Thinking about it, I would really like to see Armageddon units in the mod...but ah well, one can dream at least.
Lastly, the narrator's English was fine and perfectly understandable; albeit there was the "T" problem, though it really didn't make a big difference at all as far as following along went. I wouldn't give it much worry in the future if he helps out again.
You've got some sexy level-design going on there.
You sir, have a very pretty mod on your hands.
Superb work :)
Badass model....and I'm sure a total hardass to deal with
Screens look simply gorgeous. Keep up the good work guys :)
Very interesting update....can't wait to see the tech-trees in-game :)
Definitely liking it, especially the aged/ vintage-y look it has about it
Very nicely done :)
Definitely liking what you've got so far...loving the atmosphere and art style of the level :) only thing that I'm kinda "eh" about is the character...just seems like a cardboard cut-out or something with no life about him...though I understand everything is still WIP, of course. I don't know; if you stuck with the silhouette-player idea, some more animation or other characterization would be lovely.
Very well-done :) I especially liked the bit about the bill 'rising from the dead'
Extremely well-done model and interesting character :o Great work
Yet again, great looking footage, especially for an alpha :) can't wait to finally see those gritty, full-on trench warfare maps
Great-looking exteriors! They definitely give off a gloomy and spooky atmosphere
Beautiful work :) keep it up
As said before, amazing work on the models and weapons. I'm sure they'll be even better to look at in-game :)
Definitely a huge improvement. Bravo on all you guys are continuing to do to keep the mod going :)
It's great to finally see musket reload animations :) keep up the good work
Gorgeous looking map
Damn good as usual :)
Gorgeous. Keep up the good work :)
Very well-done mapping :) bravo
Hopefully I can sort it out. I'll definitely play it if I get the game working again though :)
Gorgeous shots :) unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to play it...I've kind of ****** up my game with custom files, and I'm still not sure if my load order is the best it could be...probably the only way to fix everything is to do a complete uninstall and wipe, then start from scratch :T
Like I said, great screens. :) It's nice to see the amount of quality texture work and unique level design you guys are putting into it all.
If that's the case, a Tec-9 would be even more believable than an Uzi
Very well-done :)
Loved FoK :) still playing it...when I get the time at least :X Anyways, great to see you guys continuing your ambitions for DoWII; I just hope it won't slow down progress on future FoK updates
Certainly been a while...Hopefully I'll remember how to get around the levels :) I don't suppose another ending was added, was there?
Very well-made :)
Looks gol' darn amazing :) bravo
Definitely liking the story so far, as simple as it is. Wilderness survival-esque scenarios are always fascinating. :)
Looking amazing so far :) though making the area more damaged/ ruined would be just lovely
Amazing shots, can't wait until release :)
Looking gorgeous. Keep up the good work :)
Looking extremely well-done, as usual :)
This mod's super duper, why wouldn't it get nominated?
Damn awesome shots, especially the eerie, frenized classroom and ominous blocked doors...almost gives the impression that someone was trying to stop something from getting in, but it got in anyways. ;)
Great to hear, hope things turn out well in the future.
Very well done and atmospheric. I can definitely picture myself trudging through darkened ruins and lonely corridors/ passages to this. Great work :)
Damn fine work. Nice and gritty, just like always :)
Looks awesome :)
Well I don't know then :I I've never heard of this glitch before from friends who played it...and never encountered it myself, and I've replayed the mod quite a few times.
Great to hear. Already voted :)
All the footage looks amazing, and it's really a nod towards all that HL1 is still capable of. Bravo for the great work you guys have done so far, and good luck in the new year. :)
Most officers in those days would just hold and fire their sidearm with one hand, at least when they were charging into battle. But yeah, the hand looks a bit awkward when he's aiming down the sights...
Anywho, footage is looking great, and I can't wait for the release. I only wish we had gotten some bayonet footage :)
Eerie and beautiful.. great job
Beautiful. Reminds me some of Fallout, except I think you capture the feeling of a post-apocalyptic wasteland much better, and even add your own touch of creepiness...great job!
Loving the textures and atmosphere, great job :)
Beautiful level design
Looking good so far
Damn nice track. Would beautifully fit the mood of an intense situation
Now that is one badass-looking trashed mall.
******* sexy. Always wanted a better basilisk.
Looking great! Hoping to see even more updates in the future
Good to hear!
Great new loading screen
Damn fine looking tank
Well done. It's beautiful and calm, yet very eerie
Interesting news, good luck you guys.
I like, though it doesn't sound all that "pirate"ish...and yes, the beginning bits do sound a lot like a Zelda-esque tune
Simple but good
Yeah, I was going to mention Paranoia. But Paranoia only had small portion of actual horror, focusing mainly on running and gunning while the two Mistake mods were the ones actually having horror as their main selling point. So I decided to just mention Mistake and Mistake -1, since they look just like the two Mistakes and not so much like Paranoia, gameplay-wise...
Eh...doesn't seem much different from the mod Mistake and Mistake -1 D:
It all depends on which part of the war this will take place in. The Germans introduced their steel helmets (like the one above) in 1916, where before then they had been using the spiked helmets (pickelhauben; leather). But yeah...I agree that face looks weird.
Those aren't AKs, those are still StG44's
Very good :D
Also glad that you didn't show too much - or too little.
Very nice, though the rifle model will hopefully look better in the future, no? Not at all trying to be negative. The animation is decent as well, but doesn't really seem all that realistic...
Video of the K98 in action in Red Orchestra, in case you don't have the game. Its bolt action animations are -very- nice. Again, no negativity D:
Looks very promising, and I can't wait to hear more news of it in the future
Good job so far and good luck; can't wait to see more in the future
Very nice to see an addition to the mod, loved the first one
There's definitely pictures of whiter/ lighter Panzers...while the Russians definitely ran with the winter camo biz, specific Panzer units/ individual crews or elite detachments may have gone out of their way to make or acquire their own. Obviously I'm not certain, though.
Still not big enough D: I want to be able to read the prayers inscribed on the individual rounds.
Oooooh, that looks pretty :o In that case, best of luck finding someone! It just wouldn't feel like a complete 40k (Guardsmen) game without gruesome melee and bayonet charges.
Amazing work. Will the lasguns ever have bayonets, though? That's about the only disappointing thing I've noticed so far throughout the images; that only the officers seem to have melee. Or is this simply a limitation of the MoW Engine? I'm not sure since I don't actually own the game right now; all of the mods I'm watching for it have yet to be released. :p
Easiest miniature ever.
I too wish to know about said copyright reasons!
Lookin' good :o
Nice work so far :)
Holy kittens, this looks gorgeous.
Looking spiffy. ;)
Looking good. Question though...will the Elven villages, towns, and castles receive a more "Elven" look to them at some point? One of my few disappointments with the Elves is that their cities and settlements don't really stand out that much from the typical Medieval European-esque look.
Holy Jebus, these screens all look gorgeous.
No - make more/ stronger Evil factions.
Are there any HQ texture mods that could be borrowed from? Or maybe you already did! I haven't played SS2 in at least a year or longer, so I've forgotten how detailed things are.
Snowy or arctic settings have been a favorite of mine as well. Eager to see more, and good luck!
Dang. For HL1, that's looking pretty darn good.
Well yeah, but this never happened in the M&B1 version.
Things have been going great after I downloaded the little hotfixes - way smoother than things ever were on M&B1. My only problem (while playing for Gondor) thus far seems to be that Gondor has multiple generals and armies, but aside from Prince Imrahil going out a few times, they have all stayed inside their respective castles and strongholds; also keep in mind this is quite a while after the war has started.
Because of this, all the surrounding enemy armies are rampaging through Gondor and forcing the player to pick up an enormous amount of slack. To add to this, Prince Imrahil was defeated a few times and for in-game weeks now has not rebuilt his army at all.
Anybody notice this as well or have any ideas?
Looking good :)
Brandishing: ye olde warrior's peacocking.
They're pretty much all Warhammer-ized Mass Casualty Incident(MCI) documents and supplies. Taking an Emergency Medical Responder course (as far as the U.S. goes, anyways) will take you over most of these...just with less awesome, obviously.
It's glorious :'D
Which faction is the Elven one? Also, why are there a bunch of factions in the notes that don't exist and are governed by the player?
On to some bugs...
Ragnarr - from the DL page - already pointed out that a bunch of settlements are in the sea or awkwardly placed; though I'm not sure if their placement is supposed to fit in with the faction's lore somehow. Some of the villages are simply very close to another faction's castles/ villages, and one capital is oddly placed on the side of a mountain...though again, totally possible that those are placed due to faction lore.
The "Start New Game" option takes a long time to finish loading due to a handful of red script errors, and also gives you the Vanilla Warband list of cities to start in, instead of any of the custom ones. In addition, Elven male and female faces cannot be edited/ morphed.
That's all I've uncovered for now!
When in doubt, pinky out.
Looking good! However, the amount of bayonets feels inadequate.
Lovely scenery :D
While the British had a compelling argument for making the colonies help pay back their debts (British troops -did- work both separate from and with colonists to defend cities, towns, and frontiers), the British also spent a lot more in national spending and other wars/ theatres than just in the colonies. This was one reason for the colonists not being very keen on paying taxes (not to mention the fact that this money was being sent back to the Parliament in England).
What's more, said taxes were not implemented/ passed with anyone in the British parliament being present to represent the colonies - something that the colonists (the majority of which being from the British Isles and saw themselves as British subjects) felt was illegal - and technically was. Boycotts on British goods ensued, and many new taxes were repealed, though some stayed. Still, this left a big rift between the colonies and the parliament back in London.
In order to help quell the sparks of rebellion and dissent, the British passed a number of acts. One act restricted town hall gatherings (though this may have only been in Massachusetts; not sure). Another made it so that if a British soldier had been accused of a crime or other infraction while in the colonies, they would be tried back in Britain instead of where the incident reportedly took place. Yet another shut down Boston harbor (a major economic port in those days, of course) until the damages done by the Boston Tea Party were paid in full (which was an act carried out in response to the aforementioned taxes many colonists believed to be unjust). The last of these acts allowed British troops (with order from the local governor, which could be done willy-nilly) to be housed in any person's private home or property (which could then technically be searched) without approval from the owner.
Ah, my mistake. Any chance of seeing those variations, though?
Flecktarn patterns. Aw yiss. Any chance of getting some rolled-sleeves or Zeltbahn variants?
Actual magazine-fed bolt action implementation? Absolutely gorgeous work. However, maybe make the sniper rifle/ rifle fire a decent bit slower when the scope is attached? Seems a little fast, especially considering there's no recoil at the moment.
Looks cozy :o
Gorgeous work! Though that rifleman seems a bit ill-prepared without a bayonet ;)
Look through some of the other new screens - there's a few Japanese soldiers with katanas ;)
Gorgeous work :)
Looking awesome :)
Congratulations on the position. :) Hope you do well in the future!
Great work. :)
This is sexy.
Love cabin/ backwoods maps. Awesome work on the props, and nice atmosphere. :)
I wonder what's for heresy
Great to hear :)
Goddamn that's beautiful.
Thanks for the OST! And that sounds like a great New Year's resolution to me. :)
Like the others, I can definitely pick out the Silent Hill vibe. Damn fine work. :)
Damn fine work. :)
Very nice work, and quotes are funny too. :)
Damn fine work. Your attention to architectural detail and overall atmosphere is still excellent. Keep it up. :)
Ah, never noticed this video for some reason...
Thanks for the response.
Was actually wondering what the limit on flares would be. Personally I like the idea of having an infinite amount of them as long as they can't be spammed (maybe add a recharge time or something?) and don't offer too much light advantage (which you seem to have covered pretty well already).
I was thinking as I was watching...if I was on the Necro team, I'd go around the flares and use the dark corners and sides and strike him from his flank.
Although, if all the humans were together and all had x3 flares, they could just coat a room in light. Perhaps give only a team-leader flares; or as more humans join the team, have the game automatically adjust the flare amount per person, so if there's a small group of humans, they'd maybe only be able to have 1 flare of their own on the ground at a time.
Either of those suggestions would encourage sticking together and helping each other out, too.
The random shooting/ smashing ruined the atmosphere in spots, but otherwise I was definitely impressed. Great ambient effects, they really set the mood. :)
Woops, mis-click...didn't mean to reply here.
Anyways, awesome chainsaw sound you have there, guys. :)
Things are looking much, much better and more suited to the dirty, gritty combat and atmosphere of WWI. Well done. :)
Definitely a big improvement. Great work. :)
Damn fine looking props :)
I haven't played it myself, but most people seem to think otherwise. :T
Gorgeous...at least as gorgeous as carpentry tools can be. :)
Hah! Tanks -are- confirmed! I was getting sick of people always saying they weren't going to be included.
Anyways, huge RO:OST fan. Can't wait until release; it's looking ridiculously awesome. :)
Damn fine work. :) Awesome job
Ah, that's more like it :) Great work
Holy ****, great atmosphere and level design so far. :)
Simply gorgeous so far. :)
Yep, Ork Warboss; so yes, it is in fact "xeno scum."
Very interesting. The music was even a bit eerie near the end...great work. :)
Thank you. The C96 has always been an all-time favorite of mine. :)
It's a nice gun, stranger.
Are the Wraithguard stats going to be different in the newest version? Honestly they seemed kind of weak when I used them...
But anywho, great work. :)
Great update, and amazing screens :)
Very nicely done. :) Can't wait until the next update.
Very nice work :)
Gorgeous shot. Keep it up. :)
Great character models, and awesome looking hangar...and while the gondola could be moved back a tad, they were generally positioned pretty far towards the front, so not really much of an issue there :)
Also hopping on with the previous posts and agreeing that the zeppelin would look much more grand as a model.
Hurray for practical firearms :)
Great attention detail and use of color. An eerily awesome scene :)
Sounding very cool :) definitely going to continue watching the game.
Damn fine work :)
Absolutely gorgeous. I'm especially liking the version with the jump-pack and lightning claws ;)
Finally...can't wait to try it out in-game; I'm sick of being cornered by armor :I
Looking great :) both the maps and inventory. Though, as said by a few others, the levels could be much more cluttered with debris and wreckage and such
Holy **** that screen is gorgeous.
Great shot :) definitely doing well to capture the Rapture atmosphere
You, sir, know how to make one sexy *** flamer.
Things are definitely looking good. The mod's still fairly new, but the gameplay already looks solid :)
Great looking shots. Definitely captures a grimy, creepy and ominous atmosphere :)
Wow the footage is looking great :)
A nice little comic. Hope you guys do well in the finals. :)
Is there going to be any objectives in this part of the map? Just curious...I particularly liked the map Shreddingfield in ZPS because you had to get food/ supplies from the super-market, which was a good change of pace...nowadays most games don't really factor in that humans have basic needs, specifically in this case; food.
Looks extremely sexy. Can't wait for the download to be authorized
Very nice :)
Nice and gritty, just the way it should be
It looks like it's decently sized...it's probably only two player-lengths apart, just big enough so that two players can try to pass each other without getting stuck
Hell yes. Great looking shots :)
Sexy as always :)
It looks very well-done. Definitely an improvement over the current one.
Extremely well-done, bravo
Oldies yet goldies.
A damn sexy-looking rifle
Great update and Q&A :)
Gosh, how silly of me to overlook that oh-so-distinctive difference :)
Still loving the dark and gritty atmosphere...it's nice to see things still progressing smoothly
Nice update.. it's good to see things are coming along well and progressing
A very fitting track for an RE mod
Yes, yes, and more yes.
I have to agree, the mapping does look rather blocky and without a whole lot of variation...on the other hand, the trailer looked very well done and parts looked genuinely creepy, which I think is hard to capture in a source mod, so bravo.
Nice, eerie yet elegant
A very pretty Mauser indeed.
Definitely much more terrifying than HL2's standard zombie, bravo
Tracking...really hope this will be completed.
Creating greatness takes time.
