Very nice looking model! Though I can't help but wonder...with so many other WWI mods and small games falling out with just two or three nations involved, I pray the team isn't taking too much upon themselves by including such a diversity.
Don't get me wrong; I'd love to see as many nations represented as possible and I'm relieved to see a WWI game still carrying on well...I just hope you guys aren't being too ambitious for your own good, like so many in the past have done.
Nevertheless, keep up the great work :)
Oh my, yes please :D Glad to see a new WWI mod in development for RO2!
I have, and unfortunately it caused M&B to crash right off the bat without even getting to the start-up menu.
That's all fine, but why don't you? They -do- have their issues; anyone from the big-wig reviewers to the run-of-the-mill gamer have said that they do. You're silly to say that they DON'T if your system is good enough to run them, especially since (I assume) you paid money for them. They've crashed for me as well, and in some cases have crashed even -more- often for people on consoles as well as with those using no mods and lower graphics settings; in other words as basic and "safe" as it can get. I don't know of anyone who hasn't had issues with those games - but they're still great games.
What's more - how can you be so sure it's just a tiny percentage of people, especially given the amount of problems big-name games have? Most people probably wouldn't sign up for a forum they might only use once just to -maybe- get help. Heck, I almost gave up and moved on without saying a word when I ran into the start-up/ installation crashes for TLD. I've never had any problems running any of the M&B games before with settings maxed, and I've even installed a mod or two without running into any problems. None of those were for M&B1, mind you, so perhaps the issue is rooted in the base game; I don't know.
I never asked for help, and perhaps I can't be helped; that's fine, I suppose. I'll enjoy it to the extent that I'm able to and hope things get better with new updates (if you're planning on more, that is). But that's partly why I posted in the first place: I figured I couldn't be helped, but the mod is great in basically all respects, and I applaud the team for crafting such a gem...I just wish it wouldn't crash so much.
By being snide?
And I've explained that I've tried what he's suggested, and it hasn't worked.
Don't get me wrong; the mod is amazing, and the amount of detail and care put into it is astounding and respectable - that and it makes for some great fun. It just has its issues.
I've already tried the options for sieges and battles. I'm not stupid. My computer is also fairly decent and runs modern games at max settings without issue.
I've been to that post before, multiple times. I installed poorly the first time and it didn't work; found and read the manual, got a fresh download/ install, followed the manual to the dot, and got the mod working. I don't run into any crashes until the war(s) starts. Even from there, I rarely run into crashes. It's not until about level 14-16 and onward, when the war has been going on for a while, do I really get all the crashes.
From there, I might get the rare crash or two during a battle or siege. No big deal. But what happens regularly and often, despite my settings, is when I go to save. It doesn't matter where I save; out on the map or while camped, in a city/ town, etc. If I attempt to, especially after battles or sieges, it will often crash (of course meaning that I have to replay those events again). Oddly enough, I seemed to crash somewhat less when I didn't touch the loot from battles (i.e. by not having scrap in my inventory, or selling it).
I've even tried the save-renaming multiple times, but that has yet to work either.
Love the mod!
Too bad it crashes every other second.
They should just stick with continuing to make good, solid single-player games. True character development and story (and actual enjoyable combat, for that matter) is almost always tossed to the wayside when it comes to MMO's.
Oh, and for the facial problem:
Maybe you could get in contact with the Oriental/ "Ashen" race modder(s)? The faces wouldn't be perfect, but they'd at least be a lot more Asian-looking than any of the non-elf faces.
Loving those architectural shots :)
Love the idea, and keep up the good work!
Looks cozy :)
Nice work with the textures and lighting as well.
Gorgeous and impressive progress so far :)
Eagerly awaiting the future update!
Not a big Harry Potter fan whatsoever, but... an RPG based around the magical arts in a world where modern-day meets myths and fantasy? Count me in :)
Oh my :o
This looks lovely.
Nice work :)
Though it reloads kinda fast for a stripper clip, does it not?
I like this idea, and might have mentioned it a long time ago. Having a map or mode where one of the objectives is gathering up supplies (food, water, medicine, etc) would be lovely.
I do sincerely hope that bayonet-melee combat will make it in. By far one of my most sought-after additions :)
Oooh, well done!
I've always wanted to see the MP-18 implemented into a game or mod. Definitely one of my favorites :)
Any chance of a bayonet, though? ;)
New ballistics? Finally :)
I prefer the one on the right :)
It looks more detailed and cleaner (quality-wise).
Nice looking stuff so far :)
I'd also be willing to help with translations or any miscellaneous stuff as well
D'oooh, purdy :)
Nice work as usual.
Nice work :)
Oh my good golly gracious, that was lovely. :)
I know it's only Alpha footage and things are still being worked on, though the HL2-ish zombies (which I can see have been mentioned already) and the fact that some areas look too brightly lit are really my only two qualms. Perhaps add film grain or slight vision distortion once enemies are nearby/ the radio goes off? Maybe dim the flashlight down a bit as well.
Regardless, great work so far. You've done well capturing the Silent Hill atmosphere and feel :)
Great work, guys.
Keep it up :)
Oh myyy~ Very nice work :)
Gah, and then I see that it was posted already :( Sorry about that.
