Keep it up! This looks great, and there's not enough good (and finished), custom Alien Swarm stuff out there.
Weapons designs, in hindsight, are not always all that good or practical. The Dreyse Needle Gun (pictured) had a lot of drawbacks, including its awkward bolt. Obviously its successor (The Mauser 1871) and the majority of future bolt-actions would end up being favored.
Plus one of the classic lines of thinking: deal with horrible now so that the future will be good/ okay/ better.
Not new, but it's an amazing piece nonetheless.
I think it's just an example. Obviously the video focuses a lot on cavalry, who don't perform as well in very hilly maps. This is going to be an issue for those that like to or feel the need to use cavalry - as well as the AI armies using cavalry - especially since the more modern, quicker-firing weapons are already a big detriment to cavalry use.
Great news! I like Verdun, but even though I can run more demanding games much easier, for some reason Verdun has seemed choppy since I got it a bit after it released on Steam.
Not to mention the SS-Totenkopf insignia below the Aquilas on her cap.
Ja, alles sieht sehr gut aus. Those trenches and fortifications + the rubble make for a great scene. Though - and not at all trying to degrade the work done - the building itself doesn't look too much like its real-life counter-part. Is this just due to engine/ environment/ prop limits? Just curious.
I'm curious as well. I'm assuming it's the Hi-Res version, unfortunately. Hopefully they'll still release a Low-Res one.
Which faction has access to them? Or are they purchasable for the player? :o
So are the others in the row simply variations, or do they correspond to a specific rank/ role? Am dumb and not following :(
The Totenkopf (Death's Head or simply skull and crossbones in German) has been in use in some Prussian/ German military units of their days since Frederick the Great. Its use isn't exactly unique, since lots of units from militaries from around the globe - regular and irregular, Revolutionary-era to modern day - have used and still use it. The biggest difference when it comes to Germany is that the symbol has become synonymous with the SS, Einsatzgruppen, and other more strongly Nazi-tied sections of the German military leading up to and during WWII, since they were pretty fond of it.
The Freikorps during the post-WWI time was kind of a mix; at times they acted as militia and peacekeepers, sometimes soldiers participating in nearby (former German Empire territory) conflicts, and many towards the end came to be absorbed into the Nazi party and its associated paramilitary factions.
"The Emperor working at the enormous amount of administrative responsibilities he placed upon himself."
I don't think I've ever seen a person work harder
Obviously Allied forces used flamethrowers on the Western front, but not to the same extent as in the Pacific Theatre. The Japanese made use of bunkers, pillboxes, tunnel complexes, and other hard, static defenses much more than the Germans did, which is where the flamethrower really shined. Flamethrowers are not optimal for more fluid fronts.
Why the downvotes? It's a reference to Fred the Farmer (the uber-zombie) from the original mod.
Fred's a ****.
Will bayonets be a separate item and not useable while attached to rifles? Sorry if this has been answered already!
Agreed; could use some dirt and grime....maybe some blood :p
Wait...throwing bayonets? :p
Sounds like a neat idea and the pictures so far are promising. Good luck!
Mmf. Lookin' good.
Are these new United Provinces uniforms/ units? I can't seem to find them in the current version :x
Many Red Army soldiers wore the Budenovka, even up prior to WWII; that weird pointy cap. (your link didn't seem to work, so I'm not sure if you posted the same one). However, Russian soldiers throughout WWI also apparently wore Papakhas as well (I have a large history book of WWI containing lots of pictures - many of the shots of Russian WWI soldiers either show them wearing the peaked infantry cap or the Papakha embedded with the Imperial seal/ coat of arms), and both the Papakha and Ushanka have been around quite a while. It's not out of the ordinary to suspect that an officer might have one due to rank/ better equipment.
Looking gorgeous as always! :]
This mod looks gorgeous. I actually don't own any of the MoW games, but a few mods - including this one - are definitely tempting me to buy them.
Speaking of that Term...the Dreadnought looks a bit short, himself.
Looking pretty good so far. Freedom to explore is always a huge bonus as well :D
She's really good at throwing those knives?
Already voted. Good luck!
Looks pretty awesome...but what's with those ridiculously tall, round pyramidal helmets?
Looking good! Eager to see what all the new uniforms are like.
It's nice of you to post this...I didn't know where any of the ASOIAF-related quests actually were until now! Though admittedly I am a little disappointed you can't interact with the Night's Watch :p
There's definitely pictures of whiter/ lighter Panzers...while the Russians definitely ran with the winter camo biz, specific Panzer units/ individual crews or elite detachments may have gone out of their way to make or acquire their own. Obviously I'm not certain, though.
Easiest miniature ever.
I too wish to know about said copyright reasons!
Holy kittens, this looks gorgeous.
Brandishing: ye olde warrior's peacocking.
They're pretty much all Warhammer-ized Mass Casualty Incident(MCI) documents and supplies. Taking an Emergency Medical Responder course (as far as the U.S. goes, anyways) will take you over most of these...just with less awesome, obviously.
Sounds neat :o
That's a great find, Eisenmann.
I really don't see the incentive to be the Empire, realistically...Chaos seem to have way better armour (when they have it) and melee weapons, and if nothing else the huge difference in height and muscle mass alone make for a big advantage. D:
Though there's still lots to be shown, I suppose, and I don't know much concerning the fantasy Warhammer lore.
That color scheme isn't very colorful.
Geez, that FT 75-BS looks/ sounds like it'll cause a heck of a lot of damage.
That's a lot of facial hair.
Holy Jebus that's gorgeous :o
What's the hull-mounted gun there? A las-cannon?
So...what's going on here, exactly? Context?
They would be a terrifying gang to face after the apocalypse/ societal breakdown D:
Looks and sounds very interesting. Eager to see how this turns out :o
Looking good :)
Looks gorgeous. Also seems the hit detection is much better, which I'm more excited for than anything else.
Nice work. Can't wait to see it in game :)
Lovely uniform work as usual.
Adorable and awesome :)
What chapter/ band is this? Or is it just a custom one?
Holy Jebus. My computer's pretty good, but I'm worried about how my FPS is going to look when I try to run around here on max settings.
In short: flippin' gorgeous.
Oh? My mistake...it's the same case for the rest of the screenshots then, I assume? The "User Screenshots" title just made me jump to the conclusion that they were taken by someone using some lovely shaders, since many of the screens on the Nexus and elsewhere these days use them.
Beautiful nonetheless :)
Which shader/ ENB settings and such are being used in these?
Amazing work, by the way :)
Lovely work. It's been annoying throughout all the HL1 mods (though admittedly life-saving...) when monsters/ enemies lose you on stairs or corners.
Oh my...very lovely work!
Great news. Can't want to hop into the fray!
You've piqued my interest.
Oh my~ Yes please :D
Can't wait to see them in action ;D
Oh my, yes please :D Glad to see a new WWI mod in development for RO2!
Oooh, well done!
I've always wanted to see the MP-18 implemented into a game or mod. Definitely one of my favorites :)
It'd be better if it were much more simple, in my opinion. The track itself is good, but I don't think it'd fit as well with the atmosphere, given all the electronically enhanced/ added bits. The track used in the Nestlings mod comes to mind (if I recall it's only one piano playing without any synth/ electronic editing), though it's a bit lighter; so something darker and more foreboding would do wonders.
D'aww, wish we could've seen you become zombified :)
Awesome work, guys.
Got an alternative link? Moddb's videos always crash for me :(
Nice work :)
Hope things will get sorted out and turn out all right. You guys have been doing great so far. :)
Ooooh, screens are looking good. Caught my interest. :)
Great work on the art! :)
no Pocahontas there bro.
Definitely liking the work done so far :)
Read this months ago ;)
But yeah, is a very nice article.
Those textures are hot.
Great work! Very lovely shot
Creepy and eerie. Good job. :) Can't wait to see what kind of baddie dwells there
By his voice, I thought he'd be huskier...
Good job nonetheless :)
Awesome work. :)
Nice work. :)
Very nice set of screens. :)
Wow; stunning map you have there. :) Loving the attention to detail in the architecture and atmosphere. Keep it up.
Another brilliant set of eerie yet gorgeous shots. Keep up the incredible work. :)
Definitely an improvement :)
"And they fought for the Nazi goverment at the beggining, so almost 90% of the 'soldiers' were nazi. At the late '45 the army recruited a lot of civilians. Those civilians weren't nazis."
What? No, I'm sorry, but you're stupid. Just because a soldier fights under a bad government doesn't mean he supports that government. Also, your 2nd statement is completely redundant; all people are technically normal civilians by default until they join the military, enter into a governmental or law-enforcement position, or enter into a different employment that is directly under government jurisdiction.
Just because a German soldier - even at the beginning of the war - signed up and fought for their country does not by -any- measure automatically make them a Nazi, or mean that they supported or were knowledgeable of all that their government and the SS were doing. And yes, the SS was approved of...by the high-government. Does that mean the entire military approved of the SS? Not by a long shot.
I know a few friends my age that had grandparents fight for Germany during WWII and didn't support what the Nazis did in any way (hell, I know a few older guys who had their parents actually fight). They weren't conscripted; they fought because they wanted a better future for their country/ wanted to defend it, or they simply wanted a better future for their family.
Don't be so close-minded.
Nice set of pics. Though, does anyone have the original of the picture at 00:33-00:39?
Interesting. :) +1 tracker
Don't know why he wasn't using his stubby arm....it's obviously much more effective.
Things are looking great, guys. Nice work. :)
Looks interesting. :)
Very cool :)
Looks hot, but the textures could be more detailed...specifically their faces.
Simply stunning; another great set of awesome screens. :)
The map looks great from what I can tell, and it's of a specific setting that you don't see a lot of (and happens to be one of my favorites). It's frustrating that there's hardly any good maps that center around/ take place in a cabin or farmhouse. :T
Awesome looking map, guys. Instantly won some respect.
Gorgeous screens :)
Sounds awesome; I loved World War Z to death. Only concern is, of course, superduper low framerates due to large amounts of ghouls. :X
Will any other instances from the book be included?
Simply amazing so far. Definitely liking how the downtown area is shaping up. :)
Wouldn't be a Cthulhu-esque mod without dark, creepy underground chambers.
Great job :)
Great to hear :)
Oooh, very well-done! Great atmosphere so far. :) Make sure you put some goodies to pick up in there.
Very awesome concepts. :)
Very nice :)
Very well done :)
Great to hear. :) So far all the changes are exactly what was needed.
Well it's only adding music/ sound files, so it's pretty safe to assume game version doesn't matter.
Damn fine job.
Gorgeous work. :)
Wow, very nicely done!
Bless you sirs
Wooh, you guys finally added it to the games page. :) Eagerly awaiting the release.
Looking damn nice. :)
Screens are looking damn fine.
Damn fine work. Those trenches are looking brilliant. :)
Well-done art. Has a sort of mystical feeling to it. :)
Oooh, very well-done :)
Still looking great.
Ooh, very well done.
Not bad at all. :) You certainly nailed the "gloomy" aspect you were shooting for...though maybe a touch more fog couldn't hurt.
Definitely agree. More props/ debris and additions to the skybox area work wonders for the atmosphere.
It's dead, unfortunately. Been dead a long time now.
All the screens look gorgeous. :) Excellent work and detail!
Well done :)
Looks great :)
Holy damn. Great update. :)
Damn sexy :)
Holy **** that's gorgeous.
Awesome skins; both for the Germans and U.S. :)
Bah, tried to search it but got nothing... no idea. :I
Great looking art and interesting plot so far. And inspired by H.P. Lovecraft you say?
+1 Watcher :)
Yes, those would be British tanks.
Very nicely done :)
Read the description.
I don't see why people down-voted Gulp343's comment. He makes a good point.
The mod is supposed to be based after a nuclear holocaust. Weapons are not going to be in new/ pristine condition. No, this doesn't mean they're going to automatically become "old.", but they'll still see wear and tear. And yes, you might have gunsmiths that survived the bombs, but where are they going to get all the nice, new materials they used to get from factories and such? Bombed factories on the surface, that, even if they had the proper parts, would have barely any or none at all in good condition? Not very likely. They'd probably get the materials to manage firearms from other firearms and pieces of scrap metal.
Nevertheless, great work on the model and texture.
It lacked players and some things could've been improved on, but RE:CB did not suck, sir.
Anyways, nice little Q&A update :) good to see you guys are still moving along.
What? No. They're from the "Alien" series of movies. Do your homework.
Don't know a bit of German, but Goddamn, the work you guys have done looks amazing :)
Excellent work on them :)
Yes, yes, and more yes. :) Great work!
Staying classy, even after the world has ended
Gorgeously grimy shots :)
Very nice work :)
Good to hear you guys are still going. Was really/ still am really looking forward to this.
Still looking good :)
Holy damn. Definitely some great shots...they genuinely make things feel as if a disaster has happened :)
Watching on Nexus too :)
Just in time for summer gaming
Very well-done art!
Wow, very impressing footage for an alpha build!
Great work :)
Good job :)
Definitely an improvement from the demos :) awesome looking textures and level design
Loving the sounds of the Thompson, and the model of course :) nice job on it. And bravo with the maps, they look absolutely superb
Damn sexy. Great lighting and, as usual, awesome gritty atmosphere :)
Vostroyans or Death Korps would be very awesome...though deep down I feel that it'll just be Cadians like usual :(
Bravo, both for the review and the mod itself
Definitely liking what's in so far :) you guys are going to add the Hungarian rifles and MG and such, right?
Oh God D:
Oh the nostalgia :)
Why would you feel the need to pick up and throw boxes anyways? Though I do honestly like your idea for an ending more than the original.
Quite an interesting read. :)
You made the blunderbuss worse? It was fine the way it was :I
The hurfdurffery continues
Great work. It warms my heart to see such a fine G98 :)
Sweet Jesus on a pogo-stick
Not too shabby at all :) Erika seems a bit robotic...though I realize it's only a rough draft, of course
Looking good...though it needs moar bayonet :)
Looks gorgeous :)
Looking great, as always
Very interesting :)
Very nice :) hopefully we'll see more content this year!
Loving the dark, frigid atmosphere of the map. Great work
Wow, looking very cool :)
That certainly would be interesting... definitely eager to see how this turns out
Another informative update, thanks for putting it up
The two Berlin shots looks amazing
Nevermind :I thought I had it all patched up, but I guess not...had to get the patch off the main site.
Yeah...it won't start.
Hrmmm...wonder why next month's news post is going to be especially interesting... :3
Very well-made :)
Amazingly badass textures.. great to have him back :)
Damn, those are some sexy hospital shots
Awesome update, had a few of my own things answered that I was wondering about. Also, the ending was perfect :)
Good to hear your PC's been fixed. Nice work on the pumpkin, not to mention this classy street.
Hah, loved it. The sirens were awesome... anywho, thanks for the upload, I've been wondering where exactly to go on Shreddingfield :I
Awesome concept art :)
Sounds intriguing, and the level design is looking pretty smooth... +1 tracker to your list.
We can only hope for the best D:
Wooh, nice to see some good-looking updates
Good looking screens and fresh setting.. tracking
A very beautiful piece. Don't know if it fits the theme perfectly...I was expecting something more dark and depressing, or something along those lines judging by the media...the track starts out and ends well, though the middle segment kind of didn't feel right for me...but oh well, it's good nonetheless.
Good to hear. More non-visual/ behind-the-scenes work just means a better, more polished product
Definitely fitting boss music...reminds me a bit of the earlier gaming days
Can't wait to use them!
Oh ho ho...very interesting indeed, and I love the new model
It saddens me that anyone is actually stupid enough to download them
From the description
"The tool box is a blast to play with as the tank."
Very interesting mapping, I'm liking.
Ooh, definitely makes me consider using the Chimera more...
Definitely a good looking Central Powers pic, though I still think the map could use some more actual craters instead of just the darkened earth where the shells hit
Great looking village
The pictures look amazing, a step above many other HL2 mods out there. I only hope this mod won't die out like so many other promising ones have.
Thank you. Two tanks has nothing to do with more fuel, it's a matter of combat efficiency.
Not to be picky, but there's really supposed to be at least at least two tanks on the back...
Grimy... I love it
Very nice view...the lighting for those streetlamps looks great too
I didn't read the news post, it's that simple. Half the news posts I see offer little interesting information. And everything else I see looks great; I just really dislike the HL2 rebel outfits, because so many HL2 mods out there don't bother to add any new skins whatsoever. It gets old - fast. But again, all the other pictures look fantastic, and you've really done a great job at creating a unique atmosphere.
Are you really going to use the HL2 rebel outfits? :|
Definitely loving the snow and lighting
Very lovely art design!
Can't seem to start the Shadows in the Night quest...I've tried talking to both the associated beginning activators, and following the instructions in the Quest section of the wiki, but the quest never starts and the NPCs only respond with "What?" and "Yes?" respectively - every time and regardless of whether or not I've talked to the other or re-entered the area.
Anyone know where Vargo Hoat can be found during the Horn and Necklace quest if Dragonstone (or any other faction for that matter) has taken Harrenhal?
First picture reminds me a bit of the Battle of the Crater.
Based off of Spain, I assume? :o
Looking good. Does this mean at least some parts of the Nords/ Nordic Union are snow-covered now? I always felt odd having troops dressed for winter fighting on springtime fields. :p
D'ooooooh...this looks good. Good luck!
They're taking inspirations from multiple sources, is all.
Oh God. These screens are beautiful D':
Will faction alliances only be determined by their respective real-life alliances, or are political/ military ties free to unfold at random? Also, while I'm sure this has been asked...why are important factions like Russia and Prussia included when they technically didn't fight in the War of the Fifth Coalition? Just curious :o
Absolutely gorgeous. I always wanted a little slice of home in M&B.
Nice work! Though those muskets are ridiculously long...how are they even supposed to reload them - let alone steadily hold them - without taking quite a lot of extra time?
It looks pretty nice so far, at least for what it's meant to be. Eager to see how this turns out since I loved the original, despite all its bugs and occasional gameplay awkwardness.
Don't you dare die D: This sounds (and looks) extremely promising. Good luck!
Your recent news post says they're part Prussian as well, though? And I'm just more confused then. The new pictures have the Swadians with red (UK-esque) uniforms, and some of their (current build) in-game ones are Prussian. You can't have the de-facto French faction fielding red-uniformed armies...I mean you -can-...it's your mod and all. But it still looks and seems extremely odd.
Can you give a run-down of all the factions and their intended real life counterparts, then? All I'm saying is that Russia has a lot of material to work with...you really shouldn't need to blend them into the German states when both of them were their own separate and unique entities.
But I thought the new United Provinces already had strong Prussian influences? And the Holy Swadian Empire seems based off of (at least judging by name and some of the uniforms) the later Austrian Empire and other former-HRE German states. Russia is/ was a huge faction, so it doesn't make sense to diversify it more with nations that don't share much similarity or land with it, even if it is just fictional game. Why not make new Cossack/ Polish/ North-western Asian inspired units instead?
Ah, gotcha. And not sure if they were regular or throwing axes, but they seemed to prefer to use them in regular melee rather than throwing them. Out of the Nord troops, I believe those are the only ones that still don't have firearms, yes.
Update: Odd. I tried another battle and the Nord Veterans have MG's now, even though earlier they didn't. Sometimes they'll switch to an axe or just their fists mid-battle though, so I don't know what's going on.
As of the patch, Nord Infantry, Nord Trained Footmen, and Nord Veterans all still don't have any firearms. Also, bayonets are still not useable on the "Hunting Rifle w/ Bayonet." Ammo pouches on them also sit at groin level instead of waist/ hip level.
I also started a new game before checking again just to be sure.
Two issues I've noticed already...The bayonet on the Hunting Rifle can't actually be used, and some of the Nord soldiers don't have firearms, despite the fact that they might be a veteran soldier.
Voted on Greenlight. Sounds/ looks amazing!
What will the battlefield maps be like when you encounter an enemy army in the field, or during a siege? Will the besieged city be war-torn and filled with defensive emplacements, then? And will there be trenches, impact craters, etc when you meet an enemy in the field?
Just wondering...I think these would be great ideas, especially considering that as the world militarily progressed out of the 1800's, battlefields tended to become more and more devastated and ruined.
Who is this, exactly?
Nice work as usual. This is one of the few mods that makes me want to purchase MoW.
Will these have bayonet versions as well?
These are gorgeous pictures. Lovely work!
Great pics! Nice and cozy, aside from the war and all, I mean. :D
That's a damn fine view.
Definitely one of the best-looking suits of power armour thus far.
Though...that power fist could definitely be a bit bigger- and smashier-lookin'
Darn, I wish we could have seen more...some close-quarters bayonet-play in the wheat would have been awesome. Nice work!
It's super effective?
Complete with strawberry jam-covered spats/ gaiters.
I assumed it was going to be a for-payment expansion/ DLC, myself. I'm just kind of bummed since I thought this would be a nice change of pace for the RO2 community while also providing a small stream of newcomers into the old WWII fronts.
This probably means we're going to have to wait longer too, but oh well. If it means a more refined product and it's what the devs think is best, then that's that. Best of luck to the team!
Adding to this; if you can't add specular for whatever reason, you could try making the armour section bulkier? Maybe even bulged/ curved outward a bit, to better show it's a thick layer of armour and not a fancy section of cloth. Also adding some baggy assault (special-ops?) camo like in the picture might help a lot too. I'm not really a modder myself, so I don't really know how easy or difficult it'd be to add touches like that - just thought I'd suggest!
(sorry if you've already seen some of these)
Partly it might be because the plates simply don't look very metallic, but obviously that's more difficult without specular.
A big part of it could also be the fact that the "uniform" underneath looks more like a traditional noble's robe or something; not a military uniform (no offense intended D:). Military uniforms typically don't have lifted embroidery, for one.
Agreed; it should feel like you're fighting for a major city, not just an outpost or something.
What's the state of the game, anyways? I've heard about it multiple times in the past, but it was never explained how far along the progress of the game is.
Regardless, looking good and hopefully a release is somewhere in the near-ish future :)
Technically (though it could go either way), he only misspelled it once. He submitted multiple images under one title; he only typed the title out once. The site did all the rest.
Nice work and all, but those muskets seem kind of long, unless NW's soldiers are just short. The Brown Bess Long Land Pattern was only 4.875 ft or 148.59 cm long; it looks like if the soldier dropped the musket down to the ground, it would still be taller than him (not measuring the bayonet).
dem winter coats. mmf.
"You need to start a new game, this is not save-game compatible."
Pretty sure he's just carrying the one rifle, with the middle selection showing its stats (you can see that he unequipped it in the next picture); the other items you didn't mention are the Epee bayonet, a Chauchat MG, and what looks like a lantern? I didn't think it was -that- much of a big deal until I saw the Chauchat, personally :p
It'd be a big stretch for all that stuff, though it doesn't seem too bad when you consider video-game standards. But an entire machine-gun taking up as much space as a hand grenade seems a little ridiculous.
Regardless, though; nice work so far, team :)
Love the art style :o
Dang. That looks really pretty :o
Still not big enough D: I want to be able to read the prayers inscribed on the individual rounds.
Lookin' good :o
Nice work so far :)
Looking spiffy. ;)
Looking good. Question though...will the Elven villages, towns, and castles receive a more "Elven" look to them at some point? One of my few disappointments with the Elves is that their cities and settlements don't really stand out that much from the typical Medieval European-esque look.
Holy Jebus, these screens all look gorgeous.
Dang. For HL1, that's looking pretty darn good.
Awesome! Maybe now I can finally play as Austria without worrying about Germany getting steam-rolled. What other fixes are included? Or are they a surprise? :o
Good luck, guys!
Ooooooh, pretty. :o
Hey, it's that one map from AVP2 :o
Well, I'd support this as long as the core PW/PF changes that were planned are still set to be implemented.
Nice work. Good to see and hear that things are coming along. :)
And this is a Panther...not a Tiger.
Think you mislabeled?
As of my posting, this is a pic of a King Tiger.
D'oooooh....all three look gorgeous. Great work :)
Ah, thanks for clarifying...I feel a bit dumb now for asking.
Any chance at seeing what the (would-be) attackers were aiming to take? :)
So would this just be a small fort on the campaign map, or the initial assault for the taking of a larger city or fortification (possibly multiple stages/ maps depending on the size and scope of the settlement or fort)? Or something completely different? :o
Either way, great-looking scene.
Looking pretty good so far :) Nice work.
And those German helmets have a Chinese military emblem on them. And they're not wearing khaki...nor are they using Lee Enfields :x
Sounds pretty darn awesome.
It says statistics and high scores will be saved, but will the player gain renown or experience in some way? Also, will there be a loose story-line that's followed/ revisited after each case, or is there unlimited player? (Or both, even, I suppose)
All gorgeous screens :o
Lovely and eerie work.
This looks lovely :o
Eager to see how it turns out.
Very nice addition...not as big of a fan of those big, bulky armours Empire currently has a stockpile of.
Thanks for the quick update :D
The stance doesn't help, but overall the body seems way too slim for someone in power-armor; at least in the thigh and bicep areas.
Eerie and awesome surroundings and atmosphere.
Perhaps lances, rather?
Unfortunate to hear D:
Good luck with classes and potential future designing, though!
Great work all around, but thanks especially for getting fixes out so quickly :)
Is that a bolter and Space Marine armor I see? ;D
Now that's a beaut'
The screens all look amazing.
Keep up the great work :)
Reminds me of the Bates house :o
Lovely work and atmosphere.
Interesting report, indeed.
Oh my...excellent and beautiful work :)
Nice. Thanks for the quick upload/ updates, guys :)
Been watching for a bit now; great work so far and I'm sure the team will produce a fine game if you all stick with it :)
Are the Elves going to be expanded on? High Elves, Mirkwood Elves, Silvan Elves, etc.
Very well done; especially that knight armor :o
Love me those greatcoats :o
Nice work. The hospital looks especially lovely.
Serious anti-aliasing required.
Oh my...yes please.
Oh my :o
Lovely work :)
Oh my :o
This looks lovely.
Oooh, nice screens :)
Elefant...? Yes please.
Looking good, guys. :)
Looking good. :)
Amazing work so far. Definitely gritty and eerie :)
Keep it up! :)
someone has played Killing Floor :)
anyways, great work on the shots!
Very well-done. :)
Nice looking shots :)
Looks very interesting. +1 watcher :)
Amazing artwork :)
Great work. :)
Congrats, guys. A sound victory. :)
Awesome screen. :)
Congrats, guys. :)
Excellent work. Quite eerie. :)
Oooh, reminds me a bit of System Shock...
Very nice. :)
Hate to have that thing galloping towards me :T
Damn fine work, nay0r. :)
Still looking great, guys. :)
Not bad at all. :)
Very nicely done. :)
Looking great. :)
Those screens are damn sexy.
It needs to be nice and bright in there so that people can clearly see when their friend gets diced into little bits by the lasers.
Click "view original"
Definitely liking this shot :)
Looks very cool so far. Seeing horror and sci-fi together is always a rare treat. +1 Tracker :)
Very nice concepts. :)
Very fine work. Did someone find inspiration from Deckard's handgun/ the .223 pistol from Fallout? ;)
Well these obviously aren't the same ones used in WH40k tabletop today.
Holy **** those are badass. Why did they even see the need to change them?
Gorgeous shots :)
Not bad :)
Amazing shots, as usual :)
Amazing-looking shot. Great work. :)
I think he means furries in general.
Looking great. I always loved the original Fallenheroes map for RO:OST :)
Or Amnesia, which includes a lantern as well. :)
Great job on the model and light effect!
Congrats guys. :)
Goddamn that was awesome. And the gibbing effects were just splendid.
A very nice shot. :)
Great job. :)
Very, very impressive.
Looking great :)
"the Vietcong were the good guys."
Now, I -do not- agree with the U.S.'s involvement in Vietnam, but try saying that line to some post-conflict Vietnamese or Hmong immigrants and their families. I know a few here myself, and their families witnessed firsthand how "good" the Vietcong really were after the war had ended and the communists had taken power. Even a good amount of North Vietnamese/ Vietcong soldiers saw after the country was unified that Vietnam was not being transformed into the nation they had originally fought to establish.
There's a reason the U.S. and other nations saw a huge boost in Vietnamese and Hmong immigrants/ refugees over the years following the war (and no, I don't just mean a year or two after the conflict, I'm talking into the 80's and 90's; in fact my state has one of the largest, if not the largest, Hmong immigrant populations in the U.S., not to mention a large number of Vietnamese immigrants as well). The Vietcong turned out to be anything but the "good guys;" or, if nothing else, the nation and its governmental rule that was brought about as a result of the North Vietnamese-Vietcong victory was anything but "good."
Amazing work on the models and weapons. :)
Great screens :)
They made fairly long bayonets to suit trench warfare during WWI, after all. Anyways, the model's looking very good so far. :)
Trippy. Well done. :)
Holy damn. Excellent design and atmosphere :)
Wow, damn fine art. :)
I hate to say it, but that face really suits him.
Thanks for the news; the level design and atmosphere still looks amazing. :) Can't wait until release.
Simply amazing shots. Keep up the excellent work. :)
Nicely done shots!
Needs moar model 1897.
Very well done. :)
Very well-done :)
Great to hear. :)
Good to see you guys are still active and cranking out updates. :)
Great update info; I hope breaking away from Sven-Coop and becoming a solo project goes well for the team and mod.
Very interesting! Was awesome to see the soldier concepts, especially such well-done ones, too. :)
Eager to see part 2.
Damn nice work :)
Great update :)
Amazing job :)
Damn fine looking model :)
It's "fantasy" in the sense that the game takes place in a fictional (ie. imaginative) setting, but it's not fantasy is the sense of a genre.
Unless of course he meant it in the former way; but in that case he'd be saying he isn't fond of anything that isn't directly based on real world events :)
But then in theory he -could- be fond of it since the game is based off real medieval warfare and equipment...
Medieval =/= "fantasy"
Ooh, very interesting...
Ah, didn't even know you took it down from Nexus :X anywho, it's good to see you around on Moddb (and good to hear there's going to be more updates). What you've put up so far is looking very well-done and here's to things progressing smoothly; can't wait to see more in the future. :)
Coming along nicely :)
Looks...pretty much exactly like Oblivion
Beautiful shot :)
I think most people would sacrifice a tiny slice of realism for the sake of fun
Anyways, good work on the model :)
Very interesting...I only wish the units/ battlegroups from these doctrines were more varied in background (ie: not having it be so British-dominated).
It's probably just not reloadable in the mod
Great looking model :)
Good to hear :)
Very nice work so far :)
Great-looking shots :)
Make more next time ;)
Looking amazing :) great work
Simply gorgeous. Bravo and great work :)
All the shots are very interesting :) good work
Customized shotgun and homemade bayonet you say? **** yes.
Well, Space Marines are pretty bulky...wouldn't be surprised if the droppod's were damn big.
Anywho, excellent work :) the models and textures are top-notch
Great work :) if there's one background image I've been looking for, it's a good picture an Irish town or city, drawn or otherwise.
All these shots are beautiful...captivating-ly eerie and extremely detailed. As always, bravo. :)
Definitely great news. Can't wait until the release :)
All the map shots look great...gritty and detailed...not to mention those last three shots that feel a tad creepy
Excellent map-work so far :)
And goddamn those models are looking great
The new map looks great, can't wait for the update :)
Ah, a damn fine looking skin :)
Err...what's this about a glitch now? I've never, ever run into the said glitch you experienced. :|
Bravo, very nicely made :)
Looking awesome :)
Looks great :) loving the atmosphere
Love the SKS...are we going to be able to use the bayonet?
Looking amazing as always
Wow, the items and level design are looking amazing so far :)
Wow, things look like they're coming along nicely :)
Wow, looking even better than before :)
All great looking shots. Can't wait for the new version :)
Good to hear you guys are still on track
Hate to be a bother, but I've never played any Warcraft 3 mods before...any tips on installing?
Wow. Simply amazing shots :)
Looking good. It's nice to see people still putting the good ol' Goldsource engine to use
Thanks a bunch. Great-looking dining hall :)
Liking the new character.
Well-deserved. Congratulations :D
Loving the Leichtgeschütz
Good to see the update is still coming along nicely... I can only hope the mod will see a much-deserved stream of new players once the update is out :)
Wow...both pictures look extremely well-done
It's supposed to be
Dun dun dunnnnnn...
Very nicely done
Glad to hear you get to decide your own fate in the end...I would've been disappointed if we could only side with Flagg
Looks like he has braces
Right from Killing Floor
Very nice...but it sounds like it'd probably fit a medieval theme better than a WWII sniper game..
Very nice lighting
Short, but very nice
I see legs
