Keep in mind that saying that having a beretta in games such as Operation Flashpoint, Rainbow Six, ArmA is overuse of the gun is silly, seeing as though the beretta is the standard sidearm of the U.S. military. Also, Half-Life originally used the glock, not the beretta.

Compared to the glock, the beretta is -underused-, good sir, though neither are used as much as the desert eagle, as far as video games go. Anyways, I simply asked the question on a friend's behalf, because he's a beretta nut and interested in the mod.

Name five major FPS games where the Beretta 92FS is one of the main weapons.

It looks great so far!

I only hope those smaller enemies will be a bit more aggressive in the final version...

I didn't read the news post, it's that simple. Half the news posts I see offer little interesting information. And everything else I see looks great; I just really dislike the HL2 rebel outfits, because so many HL2 mods out there don't bother to add any new skins whatsoever. It gets old - fast. But again, all the other pictures look fantastic, and you've really done a great job at creating a unique atmosphere.

Very nice, though the rifle model will hopefully look better in the future, no? Not at all trying to be negative. The animation is decent as well, but doesn't really seem all that realistic...

Video of the K98 in action in Red Orchestra, in case you don't have the game. Its bolt action animations are -very- nice. Again, no negativity D:

I myself don't like the idea of mods like AoM:DC or Cry of Fear being made into a multiplayer experience. If this was just a typical zombie mod or something, then I'd think differently, but they're psychological horror, which is sort of -supposed- to make the player feel like they're alone, and no one can help them. I highly doubt it's very scary to take on one of the monsters in AoM or one of the "psychological monsters" in CoF when you have a friend right next to you. Yes, the concept of going through a horror game of any sort with your best e-buddy is appealing, but for mods such as these?

I wouldn't think so

Poke646 and Paranoia were decent lengths, but they were still a bit short. I guess I meant hopefully it'll be fairly long, more like AoM length.

I realize the fun and entertainment you receive when playing AoM:DC with other people, but it completely ruins the atmosphere and experience... you'd need some pretty disciplined people to play it with in order to still make it feel like a horror mod and not just a spooky "kill the most monsters and ***** all the items/ammo and get to the end of the map before anyone else" lollapalooza. And chances are...even if said friends (or random pubs, whoever) are willing to try and preserve the entire horror feel to it, they're most likely to get bored and end up f*cking around in the end. :|

And I'm sure development-wise it'd probably be a hassle.
