Hrm. Kind of disappointed that Afraid of Monsters wasn't one of the mods featured on the MoDB Halloween list...
Awesome update, had a few of my own things answered that I was wondering about. Also, the ending was perfect :)
Thanks a bunch. Great-looking dining hall :)
I think you guys (or guy) did a great job on the audio and atmosphere.. Maybe it wasn't completely realistic sounding, yeah, but as far as a non-professional game/ mod goes, I thought it was well-done. But yeah, screaming would've complimented the mood well. :)
Good to hear your PC's been fixed. Nice work on the pumpkin, not to mention this classy street.
Damn sexy. And no, this doesn't look like Halo. Go sit in the corner. :I
Hah, loved it. The sirens were awesome... anywho, thanks for the upload, I've been wondering where exactly to go on Shreddingfield :I
Definitely liking the video...reminds me a LOT of Dark Messiah... though the HL2 zombie animations are really getting old. Regardless, the level design looks pretty and detailed, and I'm eager to try out that auto-bow; well-done as usual
Awesome concept art :)
Looking great, loving the atmosphere
Rustic and spooky...definitely liking the screen.
Have to admit I was worried you guys were closing shop as well. Great and beautiful level design as always.
Content is looking dead sexy so far, keep it up :)
Looking good so far
I would think a big reason would be that the mod desperately needed some new content, and the TT players were told they'd be getting updates in the future, but things got tied up with the dev team for various reasons and the mod stayed in its beta form for years until they announced it wasn't going to happen...
In all that time, people just either got bored of it, or stopped playing, figuring "hey, eventually there will be a better version out!" It's happened with other mods, and even full games. Not to mention that HL1 is an aging engine, and without an update and fresh coat of paint, a lot of people are turned off by it; add that to the fact that The Trenches 2 was announced and that a lot of people generally aren't as interested in WWI as other scenarios. It's happened with other mods, and even full games. But eh, just my two cents. I still think it's a very fun mod to play. :I
Great to see the new patch out! Downloading tonight
I'm glad you guys decided to hold off on the release. As eager as I am for a good WWI mod, I'd much rather have a nicely-polished beta rather than an alpha. Here's to a smooth, continued development!
Great to hear the news!
Honestly, I'd love a System Shock 2 remake more than anything else, but eh, BioShock's a great game as well, so either way the community gets something new.
Loving the new "coat of paint", so to speak
Honestly, I think having my vents crawling and denting on their own would be a lot creepier than streaks of blood
Dark and gritty, just the way it ought to be
Can't see ****, captain
Extremely well-done, bravo
Liking the new character.
Wish we could get the other two They Hunger chapters on Sven :I
Reminds me of Doom
Sounds intriguing, and the level design is looking pretty smooth... +1 tracker to your list.
The level design so far is looking amazing...sounds like...perhaps a post-apocalyptic horror setting? Definitely watching.
Modernized scenes...does that (or at some point will it) include more modern battlefield scenes? I know it's a lot to ask and a lot of work to do, but it'd be great to see some ruins, trenches, field fortifications, etc on the map battlefields and not just the siege scenes...or maybe there could be a trigger to only have said battlefield scenes appear when the battles have a large amount of soldiers on each side, simulating a longer, fiercer, and more drawn-out battle. That way you wouldn't see such war-torn scenes so often, or for small skirmishes where both sides wouldn't dig in anyways.
Absolutely gorgeous. I always wanted a little slice of home in M&B.
Sincerely hoping this live up to the more RP-focused aim...I like PF's maps and setting way more than PW, but unfortunately my experience has been, well..."less than stellar," to say the least. Lots of randoming/ deathmatching, mindless power-grabbing left and right, and next to no roleplay; regardless of the scenario or the presence of a faction conflict or not.
Some of the goals (such as the persistent factions, for one) look to be great steps in the right direction, though, so good luck - with a little help from the community, hopefully this will pan out into something truly great. :)
Glad to hear the news :)
From everything I've seen, PZ looks amazing; I've just been waiting for it to head to Steam. Hopefully it'll be an ASAP purchase on my part.
Ohmygosh, yes. :D
So glad to see a new LotR-based modification for Skyrim in the works!
Very lovely work. How does the 1897 work in, though? As far as I know the British seldom got hold of them, if at all.
Based System Shock 2, you say?
-Tracking program initialized
Reminds me of the Oblivion zombies :O
Things are still coming along beautifully I see. Nice update and can't wait to hear more :)
Ooh, very well done. :) Nice job!
This is goddamn gorgeous. Gives me a vibe that's RE mixed with Amnesia, and I mean that in the best way.
Great work :)
Holy! Very awesome concept art :)
Looking absolutely gorgeous so far. Great work and keep it up, guys :)
Awesome work. :)
Haven't you guys ever seen Tiger Sharks before? Jeeeez
Very nice work. :)
Looks brilliant, and you've hit a great note when it comes to atmosphere; eerie and tense. It seems to have the quality and ambiance of a polished single-player mod, and that's definitely a compliment. Aside from the flares needing a bit of adjusting (I understand they're WIP of course), things are looking great so far. :)
Looks great. Definitely re-kindled my interest in the mod.
Now...I'm assuming we'll be able to dual-wield shotguns, right? ;)
Seems like the hook holding that thing is attached to a little track on the ceiling....couldn't it just wiggle-waggle itself over to Simon? :C
Goddamn sexy. Loving that atmosphere. :) Also the reload animations seem fast enough without being too fast, and the walking-while-aiming speed is good too. I'd say spot on, as far as I can see.
Those are some damn fine models you have there.
metal bawks > car
Ooooh, very fine work. :)
Very nice shot
Sneaky sneaky Germans
Awesome work. Sounds like some sort of mutated, demented cackling. Love it :)
Nice job so far :)
Goddamn gorgeous, as usual
Great to finally see more Cthulhu Mythos recognition! :)
Another fine piece of work you guys. :)
Holy **** that's beautiful. Nice and gritty, just like a tank should be.
Another badass model and texture job. Great work Fleshp0int. :)
Loving the atmosphere. Good work and keep it up!
A damn fine rifle :)
It's not their fault they're not the most attractive guys and gals around the jungle-island playground... Under their chaotic, violent, flesh-hungry nature, all raptors really want is to be loved and cared for.
**** yes. lub Beretta's <3 Though that Glock was amazingly done, too...
Very unfortunate news :\ good luck on whatever you do in the future.
Like usual, you've got yourself some very sexy textures ;)
Hell yes. Can't wait to crush some skulls under those treads
Goddamn sexy :)
Do ******* want.
God those shots are mouth-watering, not to mention the video. Great textures and eye for detail, with awesome atmosphere on those city shots, to boot :) and I can't help but love that last concept picture
Those lucky Podcast17 ducks :I
Loving the two new screens, things look like they're coming along nicely. Can't wait to use that bayonet :)
Creepy as hell
Yet another HL1 horror mod? You have me sold, good sir
Even if it is, that little orange container is extremely common when it comes to prescription drugs...
