I've tried to install this serveral times following the instructions and it simply doesn't work.
As soon as I copy the bin folder from STCoP the game simply won't launch.
Any input?

Would this mod give me any problem if I play the game in Spanish?

Ok, for everyone having crashes at startup. This is what I've done and works fine.

1- Download the .zip version.
2- Extract it and place the "gamedata" folder in the default install directory.
3- Edit the game config file to "gamedata true true"
4- Go to "config" then "text", locate your desired language, delete the others folders and rename the one you've chosen to "eng".

Ask me if you have any trouble doing this

Also this can by played even on modest computers, I'm playing right now with this specs:
- AMD Athlon x2 4600+ 2.4Ghz
- 4Gb DDR2 800Mhz
- Nvidia 8600GT 512mb
* 1280x1024, low/mid settings (still looking impressive)

Pavel, would you kindly tell me the files I need to translate to convert the mod to my language? I really hope all of us help to make an international localization patch.

v1.4.4 doesn't work for me:

I've tried .exe and manual version, CTD with both.

I installed 1.4.4 and my game crashes, same error is getting other people:

artistpavel, could you give us instructions of what files we should edit to translate the mod and how edit the localization.ltx file?

Ok, thanks artistpavel, I tried editing the localization.ltx file, translating the text of repair kit and sleeping bag, and deleting the rest of the files, but I did something wrong on the way :/

Hi artistpavel, first of all, you've done a great job with this mod, I really love it!

I have a question for you. I have the spanish version of STALKER, and I want to translate your mod to my language (My english level is average, but I want to play the whole game in spanish and don't miss anything).

I found some instructions in google of how to make this:

- Open the config folder and open the localization.ltx with a text editor
-> Change the second line: 'language=eng' into your language abbreviation and
save the file
- Open up the config\text\ folder
-> Copy the 'eng' folder and rename it into your language abbreviation
-> Problem: You now have many english text parts in your game.

Now my doubts are: 1st - I have to translate all the files in the text folder using notepad? Because there are certain files I can't open.
2nd - How I translate the HUD, descriptions... 3rd - The ita folder is necessary?

If you could help me with this I will be so thankful, and I could upload the spanish translation (with your permission of course).
