Yes... I have to say really it does actually make a considerable difference and means that we don't have to done some weird tricks to make screenshots look nice and smooth, and another plus was that it was incredibly easy to implement. Right now the implementation is a bit more solid than it was when I originally took this image (it was pretty much just wedged in) but after some testing I'm somewhat concerned that there may be some issues on certain platforms (MSAA appears to fail on my laptop), though there are fallbacks in place now if this fails but if it does then there isn't much I can do other than suggest to try it on a more up-to-date platform. Perhaps when I have more time on my hands I'll look into a better way to implement support for MSAA but honestly I'm not an expert. It'd be helpful when I'm done setting up the new renderer I'm working on but until then...
That model looks great, nice work :P
What the hell is going on with the sky though?
That wall texture seems pretty damn odd...
Also not too sure about the blood around the screen, seems way too clear and distracts from the view quite a bit so it might be a good idea to add some transparency for that (I'm sure the PSP is perfectly capable of that).
There isn't a non-steam version.
Kids these days...
Nice work! Really deserves more attention :D
Looks great, this really deserves more attention!
I believe :)
(Modified so I don't sound like an ***)
Not quite sure what to say about this other than "I told you so" really :S
Hopefully this will be the last engine switch... Though I'm curious as to why you guys didn't just go back to the Darkplaces engine, it doesn't compare to Source but I thought the whole point was for this to be a standalone title rather than a mod?
We also haven't seen anything of the PSP version which makes me wonder a little if you guys are even working on it anymore. From what I keep on being told you are and you've made a lot of progress on it but then that just begs the question of when are we going to see anything else of it? I'm not a huge fan of Quake-based games being developed for the PSP but if you guys are promising that then it's what a lot of people expect to see.
I'm also curious as to how easy the transition to Source will be from the previous engine. Hopefully it won't hamper your progress too much.
This does not use the ******* Quake engine.
Bring back the empire I say!
Really brings the environment to life, great work!
Excuse me but I see no reason for deleting both mine and the comment I responded to. I was simply stating a question and he gave a response which was related to the image, how on earth was that immature? Also I'm sure a lot of people here don't appreciate being called "*****".
When we're ready to show something we will.
Mind is blown...
Quality is a bit **** and it seems either there's a huge lack of variation or the entire trailer was composed of one level.
Well I was just making a suggestion.
You assume? Perhaps if you have a blog post related to this image it might be useful to link to it in the description ;)
Perhaps try making the ground raise up against the ship a little more so it looks more like the sand has piled up around it overtime. Also I'm not sure if the player would see from this angle or not but the ground texture on the right is really repetitive. Other than that great work!
All seems a little too focused on that empty platform. I assume you'll put something there?
Looks very promising :)
So I'm not allowed to have an opinion?
*looks at screenshots and pauses* t-t-TRACKING!!
