At 1:41 (and multiple other times throughout the video) I can see that sometimes the arc of the Patriot/S300 missile seems to be "connected" by a straight line of smoke (it only lasts for about half a second). Interestingly, it looks like it only happens when launching against high-altitude targets like the TBM. Is that just a visual bug with the FLINT system?
There is nothing cooler than whacking someone in the face with electrical gloves.
Even though I was around during most of this, I didn't really understand how difficult this stuff really was. Kudos for a very interesting look into the history of MWM.
As dumb of a complaint as it sounds, is it possible to make it so that the missile exhaust smoke doesn't instantly disappear when it detonates, or is it an engine limitation? I don't remember it happening in vanilla WiC, but then again, there weren't many weapons that had smoke trails long enough to notice. It's just something that bothers me a bit.
That'll need a LOT of power plants.
B1 bombs decreased? aww! But I liked the insanely overpowered bombers that could cripple a base with only two or three of them!
(Glad to know AF General will require a slight amount of effort now.)
**** yeah, that's awesome. I approve immensely.
On a slightly related note, could this aircraft behavior eventually be used for aircraft that are ingame as TAs such as the B1?
Incredible. Would some sort of controllable plane eventually be part of TA, say, for the standard "airstrike" cluster bomb? Sort of a "fly it in, drop the bomb" and then the FLINT code takes over and flies it out of the map? The micromanagement is already at high levels in the mod though so I'm not sure you'd want to add even more.
I have no words for how incredible this is.
That looks wonderful.
This is still the coolest mod in existence, and actually taught me something worth learning! How often do games do THAT?
This game is incredible- the amount of content in the game just as stock is great, and the mods that exist are mind-blowing. It's incredibly easy to mod and create other content for, and like somebody else said, the fact it's still played now and is honestly pretty popular speaks volumes about the game quality.
Get it. It's worth it.
Are you planning real time terrain deformation? Imagine grabbing a spade and digging yourself a hole in this engine...
That, and if you could make a particle system that's good enough to match the rest of the engine, you would have one of the greatest possibilities ever, especially for war games.
I saw "A-10C Warthog Close Air Support Aircraft: Self-loitering auto-pilot air unit with 30mm gun, CBU-97 cluster bomb, LGB and AGM-65 PGMs." and my head exploded.
lol your avatar is like a WiC version of mine, which I've used for years

So how's Mount Everest coming along?
The possibilities of this engine are mind-boggling.
Simulate Nelson Rocks in WV well and I will love you forever.
I could spend hours looking at this game engine.
Crashes my game. the previous patch worked fine.
I've been lucky enough to see the SBX in real life (April 2009 at Pearl Harbor)-it's huge and looks exactly like that model. nice job.
There should be an option for playing as a 1st person dino. It would certainly add to the awesomeness, and you could possibly have something such as infrared view for some dinosaurs or the "can't see unless moving" thing for the T-rex.
I want a nuke video. That is, if the nuke's been improved from the public version.
The planes don't shoot, and is it possible to use generals powers?
Default install directory.
Tried reinstalling, including patch, same thing happens. I'm not sure what's wrong but it's really annoying.
It's been installed already, but I'll reinstall RenX and see what happens.
It appears to be showing that I'm missing almost everything (models, textures, etc.) in the logs. Also, when I load a map in the editor the map shows up but all the renegade and building-related meshes don't show up.
I downloaded and installed, but trying an offline game crashes the game. Trying the editor tells me I need new scripts, which promptly shows up with about a thousand warnings and one error. It's really annoying.
Can anyone help?
