I know this question sux, i want to ask it regardless: Any estimated eta?

I think you mentioned (quite some time ago) that it's probably going to take " ~ a month" after the release of Misery 2.2 till you have your first TAZ release ready. Is that right? Or is it going to be more complicated? (Perhaps because of those new repair items for weapons for example...?)

Thx in advance - really looking forward to this truckload of weapons you are adding. I honestly don't really want to play "vanilla" 2.2 because of that... :)

Thx! This seems to be quite complicated and quite some work. In this case i will simply leave it as it is.

Question regarding 2.2: Will it be possible to alter / decrease the amount of A-Life that spawns from time to time?
If it is - is it "easy" or are this multiple values that have to be changed?

Some performance & stability experiences i made whilst my last strolls trough Misery 2.1.1 + TAZ 1.7.4 (no additional addons). A-Life: 300. Experiences from Zaton (completed) and early steps in Jupiter (which is surely more demanding).

RIG: Win 10; i5-2500k @ 4.5 GHz AllCore; Samsung SSD 840 Evo; GTX 1070. Everything is installed on the 840 Evo.

Static Lightning (SL): A bit (very short) stuttering. (Even when running quite some distance in one direction and new A-Life has to be loaded). Additionally so far almost no random crashes.
Full Dynamic Lightning (FDL): Quite some stuttering when new A-Life gets loaded. The stutters are rather short but sometimes there are multiple short ones right after each other. I don't know why but i had quite a huge amount of random crashes with FDL.
Enhanced Dynamic Lightning DX11 (EDL): Extreme stuttering when new A-Life gets loaded. Rather long stutters and multiple stutters right after each other. Stabilitywise no experiences in the latest runs (because it ditched EDL). I had massive issues whilst my former attempts though.

All in all SL seems to be the way to go (at least for me). Sadly it obviously looks way worse than the other two rendertechniques.
*edit*
Nevermind i just tried Jupiter some more (SL) and had many crashes shortly after loading. Saved in Yanov and went in direction of the scientists. Crashes are practically reproducable.
*edit2*
A-Life 200 seems to do the trick so far. At least i was able to get from Yanov to the scientits.

Hm could be the problem then which is unfortunate because that's how i "like" to play.

I don't carry over "junk" though. Many, many good condition weapons + a huge junk of ammo + repair stuff + food + medic stuff. I usually need at least 2 runs back and forth to carry everything over to jupiter.

Perhaps it'll work if i limit myself a bit more and leave the most stuff in the personal stash in the "original" map...

Yes everything downloaded & installed from scratch. No old files left.

I probably try Static Lightning and no TAZ at all in future.

It can't be the amound of loot i carry over from Zaton to Jupiter...? I always have SO MUCH loot i take to Jupiter, but that shouldn't be a problem i guess...?

No addons, all freshly downloaded from moddb & installed ontop of a steamversion of COP. Zaton works fine (completely done), problems firstly occur after moving to Jupiter.

I just wait for 2.2 and see then. Thx for the offer though ^^

I started 2.1.1 + The Armed Zone 1.74 (all clean install) for another time and sadly i still have massive problems after changing from Zaton to Jupiter. I had those problems pretty much over all versions of Misery 2.0 to 2.1, Betas and now 2.1.1. I even submitted savegames and crashlogs "back in the day".

CTDs, Savegames that couldn't be loaded etc. It's a shame because this Mod is just awesome. If those problems + the engine limitation stutters weren't there... Oh man.

Short question (i'm a noob in all this). After the release of 2.2 you mentioned you will probably port Misery over to Call of Chernobyl's "basis".

Does this include a completely new engine? Or is this still the old stalker engine?

Allright, thx! Just dl't your "LowEndTweaks.pdf" and will (hopefully) put it to good use as soon as 2.2 hits. Have a nice weekend! :)

I like the Miseryversion most.

Regarding ingameoptions i didn't really mean performancewise, i meant "stabilitywise".

If i recall correctly we shouldn't use DX11 Lightning for Misery - at some point...? Thats what i meant. Are there options we should better not use with 2.2?

Quick screen of inventory / itemtext (yes the item text is a bit small): Abload.de
But its ok for me. Would be better if it was bigger, but i prefer the resolution over smaller textes.

Its the same in Misery then?

Regarding performance, i'll wait and see. Personally i prefer quality over frames. Especially in singleplayer games. Running a 1070 GTX and a Samsung 840 SSD as systemdrive.

Will you guys release a little guide regarding the ingame options? For example which lighting system "best to use" etc.?

Will Misery 2.2 work well with higher resolutions for example 4k?
I just ran vanilla COP to test it and it seems to work fine. HUD, inventory and item pictures seem to be adequatly big.

Quick question: Will TAZ 2.0 be ready as soon as Misery 2.2 releases?

The last time i've played Misery 2.1.1 i had severe stutters from time to time. Not fps problems - if i remember correctly it had something to do with the a-life system.

Did you guys change something in this regard?

I've played (and really liked) it nonetheless, but those stutters weren't funny at all... :)

Just have gotten my hands on a HK MP7A1 - MP. What a nice sidearm - or even mainweapon if you wanna head out lightly equipped. 35 Mag (Upgrade -> 45) and fully loaded (45 Mag only 1,84 kg). Enormous rate of fire and good recoil-abilities. 9x19mm caliber. The JHP Ammo has High Tissue-dmg, pretty good for mutants.

A very good weapon for cqc or in general for mutant hunting or so.

It was you, who wants to change Nimble into a normal Vendor for Misery 2.2 / the new TAZ Version, right? Is it already working?

Green one looks really nice, yeah. Scopewise - i would probably use the ACOC oder Sniper version. I don't like the normal scope at all in Misery. (Many, many red lines, very futuristic).

For the next version - will you edit / correct the suitnale rapairkits for the weapons? It looks like as if several weapons can be repaired with wrong caliber - repairkits. 7.62x51 f.e. with the smallbore repairkits...

All right! And yeah - 8GB Ram a pretty common these days i would say.

Will 2.2 have an other Defaul A-Life Switch Distance than 2.1.1? I've found some month old posts where you guys were testing around with it. (Here: Moddb.com)
Also with the "objects_per_upate" Value - which will be set to "1" in Misery 2.2 if i remember correctly from a post of yours.

So approx 3,6 Gigabyte for CoP + Misery 2.2? Is it problematic if it exceeds the 4 Gb threshold?

The measure was taken in Zaton at the very beginning i guess? Yanov is way heavier on the AI etc, isn't it? So i guess the 4 Gigabyte will be exceeded there easily...
