Its a community map, IE not an official RnL map. The creator based it on the Band of Brothers' take on Carentan, hence the video's likeness to the part in the series.

Hmm, I'm not that adept in server management, but I believe you simply have to find a provider that allows Half Life 2 Mods. Again, I'm not entirely sure.

Also, you might want to check out Branzone's servers(Branzone.com) They are the RnL web providers as well as the official game server providers.

One thing you have to realize, as you noted, its an Alpha. Bugs are bound to be apparent. Also, another thing to be noted is that Ardennes, well, in its Apha state is not very popular or "finished".

I'd suggest getting into a game with lots of people on a map more suited to RnL's playstyle, ALA Ste.Come Dumont, Ste.Marie Dumont, Or Ste.Mere Eglise.

"The weapons seem good, though it could use tactical reloads - and reloading the Garand at will? I question the need for the intermediate iron sights mode, and it's odd for the Garand to have no bayonet on the world (ground) model, and for it to leave a CSS knife mark (horizontal, from a vertical blade)."

1.I'm not sure what you mean by "tactical reloads"...
2.Yeah, despite popular belief created by Call of Duty and every other money-grab WWII game, it is possible. There simply wasn't a proper animation put in when Alpha 4 was released. Beta includes this animation.
3.Shouldered->Suppression, very inaccurate unless point blank.
Intermediate->Close range, yet accurate fire. Usually for killing enemies as you pop around corners. This also gives you freeaim and a better FOV, better for room clearing and such.
Full IS->Obviously for long range shooting. It takes up more of you FOV but also gives you a larger view through the rear aperture sight. I believe the concept behind this is "concentrating", and with the Beta IS system that is more apparent.
4.Again, still an Alpha.

I think a lot of your concerns could be rectified by...
a.)Actually playing the game online and seeing how these features work in action.
b.)Realizing (even though you stated) that the current release is still Alpha.

As for the uninstaller, uninstalling is as easy as deleting the folder in "Sourcemods".

((Please note I came aboard the team AFTER Alpha 4 was released and after I had been playing RnL for some time. I am speaking to you from a seasoned A4 players perspective, but also a Devs perspective.))
