yeah, This mod seems quite dead, even Vampire Slayer 2.0 is released as a beta. I hope you guys get things done at any time.

Read my last comment for a bit more on my surprise attack (no im not attacking anyone or anything I had a surprise attack). But this is crazy and epic!

DUDE! I thought this mod was dead after absolutely no updates for years, checked it out for quite a while, Talk about a blast! going to dl once I reinstall/rebuy max payne 2!

Seriously, its hard for me to drop subjects. though I do that to things a lot physically.

I have an idea, get half life source, use gcfscape for maps/materials/models to put into the smod folder.

i dunno if it works but its worth a try, im happy with the current maps for now tho.

Howdy, Hellmonkey here, Keep this mod on the download list! (smod outbreak was a nightmare for fans on this site) even if its broken for the orange box engine. here's a quick fix for any smod mod from what I understand

Download and install the mod of course.

change the text on gameinfo.txt by changing the "SteamAppId" from 220 to 215 (you will need source sdk base 2006 its on steam)

You can play the mod now, but there is a problem. There arent any maps!

there are 3 fixes for this, You can install your own maps, Make your own, or use gcfscape to extract maps from whatever game you wish. it worked for me, i installed the cs:s maps on my original smod

if you tried this on smod tactical and it didnt work, that sucks.

if it did work, like the smod classic worked for me, cheers!

you can download gcfscape from nem's tools.

if i forgot anything correct me. these mods ain't dead. there are quick, easy fixes. i have all the cs:s maps (with some materials and models for the maps) on smod classic

why remove the download? i can fix it easily by extracting the maps and editing the gameinfo.txt like i did with smod classic lol

I conclude that the gameplay isnt as unreliable as some games out there. it is actually playable.

In the end, there are only 2 cons that i agree with, and 1 con that tends to be common with awp based games, adding to 3.

the game i would say would be around a 50/50, 3 pros, 3 cons.
but if i remove the more obvous/smaller cons, that would be 2, only 1 con

the game is good!

Wow. You guys must be working pretty damn hard on this mod. I havent seen a single new post. This mod kinda reminds me of how the Custom Map Team is working on a Halo mod called CMT SPV2.

alright i got some really really good news. i saw a mistake that the devs made (maybe it's mine for installing the upgrades mod FYI but it was nothing like this)

and it involves huge blood explosions when you trow a grenade. it rocks man. and now this is much much MUCH better than gunkatas 3.0

how lame this mod is... i dont even know. no blood mods are so pointless. instead make mods called "kid mode" in order to make the zombies look like clowns or just looking like purple scientists.

and make the demons look more like the kiddie monsters, remove the evil stuff because it doesnt fit. and replace the guns with "zappers" or something.

it really sucks that it's cancelled because i dont own max payne 1. so i cant get the fun of katana.

but vs2 will rock so much it's not even funny.
