Hello. It's me hecumarine, developer of Black Mesa: Military for Black Mesa. I wish you best of luck with the classic version, I am very honored and excited that the story I've created will be recreated in Half Life 1! One thing to note though, is that after an update which I will release soon, the boot camp section will be removed and the mod will start from the osprey, that doesn't mean of course that this version can't include such an addition, of course. Hey, that sounds like an amazing idea! As long as you credit the original mod and it's authors it will be fine. I've also asked creator of the soundtrack, if you want to use it, you also need to credit him as well, he is JDCreative on youtube (SinonSniper).
But you will have to wait until I release an update if you want to use it, also the mod is missing some chapters which I haven't made yet.
Hi I'm developer of Black Mesa:Military so I know how exciting it is to make mods such as this, I hope you will continue and won't abandon it, and hopefully it will be very faithful to the original and not completely different, I wish you best of luck and I will be tracking this project's progress with eagerness.
One more thing, for some reason it's not very popular, but I wonder why, I am very excited for this project, but I couldn't find any information about it until now, I had no idea it exists, maybe try finding some way to increase it's popularity, good luck.

Thank you for the suggestions, I really appreciate it, I agree on most parts, especially the metal crate to the right, the wodden debris however is actually a part of the ceiling that broke and fell down after disaster, it's not even wood actually, notice that it has the same material as the ceiling. But I will consider what makes sense and fits and what not, and eventually make some improvements.

I didn't make any decisions regarding sniper rifle, scope will be changed most likely.
This music is no longer part of the mod. JDCreative is composing completely new soundtrack. All the old songs will be replaced with new ones.
I need voice actors for the marines mainly. Security guard is not an issue, as I can simply use Black Mesa's lines, marine on the other hand needs custom dialogue. But thanks for the suggestion, appreciate it.
Hi, I'm hecumarine, as a fellow modder and mapper for Black Mesa: Military, I understand the passion that you have for this project. I am very excited for what you come up with, because this is probably the most faithful adaptation of Episode 3 that we never had. Hopefully you will steer clear of the ideas like the other teams had, like The Closure or Half Life 2 Ice, which were the same idea in core, but in execution they were nothing like Episode 3. I just wish that this is not another dissapointment but seeing your current work, I have high hopes for this project, so I wish you best of luck, and I just keep my fingers crossed that you won't abandon it or put it on hiatus, because it's very promising.

Thanks! The lack of military equipment in this part is intentional as I wanted to show that they haven't estabilished outposts at that point, but I will consider your suggestion and perhaps try adding some variety like you said.

Good news everyone! It's very likely that the mod will receive a very good soundtrack replacement, not in any way worse than what Slaver made. What remains unresolved is voice acting for now..
That is not what I need to worry about right now, besides I want it to stay true to orignal Black Mesa, although I did add maskless soldiers etc already in 2020 version. Right now audio design is the biggest issue and top priority.
Perhaps someone here is interested in creating such voices? I would add you as part of team and it would allow me to spend all effort to make good maps instead of working on everything at once.

I was suprised too, everything worked fine between us and he lashed out at me all of a sudden, I was shocked. But I'm glad it happened sooner than later, before we started our partnership for the rest of the mod, it would be disastrous if he pulled off something like that at the end.

I remember someone having the same problem. Try setting your BMS.exe to Administrator.
