7 months after Megatron died, Soundwave sent 2 Decepticons to search for the remnants of the Allspark and Megatron's corpse. They were Crusade and Sunshot. Sunshot was never landed on Earth with his proto-form. Right after he entered the Earth's atmosphere, he passed a squad of 8 Sioux helicopters. He quikly copied the details of the chopper and quickly transformed to became the chopper. He quickly destroyed the squad easily by his uniquely designed electromagnetic shockwave barrage. The Autobots quickly discovered this attack, and then sent Noisebomb to check it. But the Autobots suddenly lost contact with Noisebomb. And they still don't know who or what the attacks really are, or where were the attacks coming from...
Sunshot was the master of stealth. He was protected by an advanced jamming system and invisible cloak aura - which means he can become unseen when this is activated...
5 weeks after the attacks, Sunshot was still desperately searching for Megatron's traces. He then received direct order from Soundwave to proceed to the next task. He contacted Crusade to meet him there then. Suddenly, a missile hit his tail. It was two flying Autobots who shot him. They were Breakaway and Springer. He didn't realized that Springer isn't the same as the other Transformers. His eyes have some kind of thermal detector & vision which can see EVERY heat source in this world. Sunshot then transformed to the robot mode and fly just with his helicopter-bladed right arm. He successfuly hit Springer with his rocket launcher, but it didn't even scratch him. The battle was finally ended by a hit from Breakaway's heat-seeking missile to Sunshot's right arm. The missile hit made Sunshot lost his right arm, and without it, he's unable to fly. He fell from 20000 ft high directly to the sea. It was a deadly fall for him, since his body isn't covered with armor plates or anti-impact materials. And his body fragments was recovered by Autobots for analysis...
