Your opinion is not necessarily mine; Your opinion is not fact; Your opinion is not absolute. Your opinion is a perspective.
"There is nothing further for either party to discuss. Anything else we must entrust the force to guide us in. Yet I will give you a final piece of guidance.
We sensed through the force that you had honest intentions coming here, but the force is rarely as clear in its intent as it was today." She says being almost stereotypical unclear as a Jedi.
She stands up and says; "May the force be with you." before she turns to one of the engineers which have approached her with a report on the confiscated items. Serena can hear that he greets the Jedi as Grand Master Ranach and then they proceed into the temple.
Above the grounds, two law enforcement ships are preparing to escort Serena and her ships outside Federation space.
Tiebreakers, pff. threats is better.
Joe, vote in favor or face my wrath for forcing me to dismantle half the Federation military because you wanna be GM.
And if you do not fear my wrath... Well, the least you could do is be a patriot and do whats best for the Federation. Vote in favor, or don't become GM ;D
The Jedi nods in appreciation of the gratitude.
"I was not at Rhen Var, but the Jedi Council do not make use of this kind of ability without good reason." She warns as she gazes towards Serena's ship. The engineers are just now leaving.
The Jedi hands over the storage device to Serena. "These records pertain to a man who came to warn the Jedi of an attack. The circumstances of his punishment is detailed within. As for his current whereabouts, Jedi intelligence lost track of him years ago, but what they did have we have chosen to share with you."
She pauses again.
"Is he family?" The Jedi asks, having guessed who Serena seeks based the information she has found.
I can't really tell whether this is a joke or not.
I'm fine with it. Solves the issues I have with the current one. Hence why I didn't replay to the revised fleet system. I have nothing to say really.
The new system gives me more flexible control of the military.
"We will not part with it, no." She responds to the first question.
As for the second one the Jedi wonders what use it would be for Serena, as while she may be given the information. Anything other than who those people were, it would not include any information beyond that
"Wait here, while I go to the libraries."
Half an hour passes before she returns with a small data storage device.
"Before we proceed" she begins. "I must ask you, am I right in presuming you were at one point known as Darth Eredis, an assassin of the Sith Order?"
"I will not grant you access to our libraries, but perhaps I can help you with some of your requests.
How the severance between a force user and the force is done, is not knowledge we would part with. As for the effects
on the mind and body, that is difficult to answer and depends on the person. For most however, it is merely a matter how whether you can live with being severed from the force, or not. Can it be reversed? Yes. But it has only ever been done so by the Jedi Council. Another piece of knowledge, which we will not part with.
As for the records of Rhen var, I am not entirely sure such records exist. You would need to be more specific."
"What answers can we give you, that the force cannot?"
Before saying more she pauses, shortly contemplating.
"But you didn't come here for lessons, so tell me what you seek and I'll perhaps I can help you better."
"A group of engineers will remove crystals, and some other crucial components the stealth drive will need in order to function. Unless you are hiding anything else illegal, that is the only thing that would need replacing if you leave."
As the Jedi said it, a small transport shuttle lands next to it and begins. She is silent for a moment while watching the engineers disembark and then refocus her attention to Serena.
"You come seeking answers to questions you have. They must be important for you to risk coming to a Jedi temple. There are those who would have done this differently." She says, being unclear about whether she speaks of the Jedi, Sith or otherwise.
"I am ready now. But you were not ready until you sat down." She responds.
She opens her eyes and looks at Serena.
"Before we begin, at the.. request.. of Military command, I must ask you to send a message to your cloaked ship and have it prepared to be boarded. Civilian use of stealth technology is prohibited in Federation space. In case you see no reason to oblige, you should know that had the Jedi Council not sensed you on the way to Eriadu to meet us, your ship would have been destroyed the moment it entered the system.
It would be unwise to test the Jedi Councils willingness to persist in not doing so, considering your origins."
The woman remains silent and is seemingly unmoved by the presence of Serena.
Perhaps to the surprise of Serena, she finds no Jedi nor guards preventing her from reaching the temple. As she moves up the stairs towards the main gate a lone woman sitting and meditating in front of the gates, which are closed. She doesn't have any weapons either.
Almost as if compelled by a mysterious outside source, Dray decides not to kill the Imperials, to his eternal regret no doubt. As Nym's party become visible and the Imperial party encroaches he moves to the edge of the hanger opening. He look towards Nym.
"Till next time Nym." Dray says. He looks back and down, then he jumps over. He activates his magboots and lands right in front of the cockpit of his TwinTail, with Lucky piloting it. They exit the hanger fully and sets a course towards Federation space.
OOC: Pain, you don't know it yet, but you owe me a debt. You can blame/thank Milos ;)
Unable to get the terminals to work properly. Dray sends his recon drone head to find the Imperial team just as he hear the announcement.
"Well, seems like my visit may be cut short..."
He returns to the central hanger and takes a seat on the ramp of the Imperial shuttle while he waits for his droid to return.
Moments before Nym's party arrive at the R&D area they encounter Lucky. Who greets them, moves past them, and then says goodbye.
"Well well well.. what do we have here." Dray says with a smile.
"An Imperial ship. Perhaps it belongs to the other group Nym and his companions were talking about. Lets go have a look shall we?"
Dray and Lucky approach the shuttle and enter it. "Lucky, go back, get our ship and bring it to this hanger. We may have to do a quick exit." Lucky turns around all the while complaining about being treated like a fetch dog.
"But you are a dog, are you not?" Dray jests.
Dray now receives to communication from Nym, but have no interest in leaving just yet. He accesses the shuttle computer and browse the navigation records. When he's done, he inserts a small device into a dataport and then exits the shuttle.
He now proceeds towards the command center, with his recon drone scouting ahead as usual.
"Don't mind if I do.." Dray responds and then turns around, heading back to the R&D area together with Lucky. When they reach it, they continues towards the central hanger that his drone discovered.
Lucky questions whether or not it might be better to have stayed together with the others.
"Perhaps." he days.
"But I'm no force user nor have I any interest in it. There is nothing for us there.
Although if you had your heart set on any of those items, my apologies."
They enter the central hanger and begins looking around.
OOC: Well, I guess the rules allows me to make my move.
"Whatever the price, I suspect it will be too high. Keep your... merchandise." Dray responds to the offer, and is content to merely observe the exchange.
He turns to Nym and whispers; "Need I remind you we are all floating towards a star and that we don't have time for a literal ghost chase. Unless you are the local ghostbusters that is."
Dray rests his hand on one of his blasters and unholster it slowly. As Nym insist on giving him more time, Dray merely grunts.
Luck begins to back away slowly.
"Spirits, the force?
Just my luck" Dray comments.
Dray can't help but wonder if Nym's gifted companion might become a problem, seeing as she seems to be the only one affected by this spirit. Would Nym be able to do what he needs to if the worst comes to pass? Perhaps it would be better to separate from his group.
He re-focus his attention towards the strange candle.
So beating the Borg is now slightly more of a realistic goal? xD
The pair arrives at the brig and begins to investigate the cells. Lucky begins looking for any data ports that might yield any information, although Dray expects to find nothing beyond standard identifications and even that I doubted.
He himself begins moving down the cell corridor, investigating each one. As he is about to reach the final cell, his communicator begins to flash as Nym's transmission begins;
"Dray, one of my crew thinks the brig's worth checking out. She's Force sensitive and might be able to find a few things we can't. We'll be joining you pretty soon. Nym out." the transmissions ends.
"Alright, but so far just more remains. I would seem my hunch isn't paying off. Dray out."
While waiting for the others to arrive, he investigates the last few cells.
Dray follows Nym's suggestion and orders his recon drone to return and scout out the brig. In the meantime he joins the others in their investigation, but only very shortly when he notices the desecrated bones. He picks up one of the modified blasters and brings it with him.
"Mr. Nym. Further ahead the scans indicate you will arrive at the central hanger of the ship. I will go back to investigate the brig which my drone should be scouting out this moment."
The same device he use to control and monitor his drone, he uses to transmit a communication frequency to Nym.
"This is my current com frequency, just in case it becomes prudent to communicate."
Without saying anything further, nor waiting for the others response he leaves, his astromech following him, slightly confused.
You seem a bit defensive there friend...
Don't you worry, we won't judge you. Much.
Dray recovers from the tremor. "Interesting" he whispers to himself.
"Imperials? Wasn't aware we had yet another group of overly curious people with us.
Well, that should at least make things interesting. Not that it wasn't already of course."
He orders his recon drone to scout the path leading straight ahead.
"Lead the way." He says to Nym.
The man lowers his hands. "A pleasure to meet you Nym." he replies.
"Indeed it does seem like this thing is slowly coming apart. Speaking of things coming apart, perhaps we should dispense with further pleasantries and proceed with our investigation. We are after all on bit of a schedule. Flying into the sun and all that.
Provided, I am free to join you of course. If not, I'll take a another path. We are seemingly faced with a choice. I believe the path straight ahead will eventually lead to the bridge, as for the other one I'm not entirely sure.
In any case, it's entirely up to you friend."
OOC: Milos, I would appreciate you not making me look stupid for YOUR mistake.
The man approaches the group and and raises both his hands as a sign of good will. "And you call me paranoid..." He says to the astromech, but also loud enough so that the unknown party can hear it.
He takes a step further forward, not sure whom to address, he merely says to them all; "Hello there fellows! I presume your curiosity got the best of you too?
Let me introduce myself, I'm Dray. At your service." He says as he makes a light bow.
"This is Lucky." He gestures towards the astromech, whom almost surprisingly, greets them politely.
