OOC: I'll end it then. Not how I wanted to end this, but I really can't be bothered to argue about it.

Also the Rangers survived? Really, I couldn't have just this one thing?

*Thain heard the reports that the Mandalorians had stopped their advance. He sighed, he had no intention of waiting. He pulled out the object and activated it. It was a lightsaber, shining bright with a white beam.

He aimed it towards his chest and mumbles to himself; "Honor huh. I'll show them true honor.". He then thrust it through his heart.*

OOC: You would have had me at the city power generators if only you had tried to destroy them and not use it for distraction. The trap was always at the Shield generator itself.

*A locally rigged force field appears in front of the rangers going to plant charges and only a second later the team is engulfed in a large explosion. Troops in hiding come out and surround the area. Several dozen Battledroids engage the other team, firing their slug-throwers to destroy cover, with other soldiers setting up MG emplacements, to suppress the enemy and prevent escape.

Thain arrived at the Plaza, where he stood silent listening to the now more and more silent city. All over the city troops were in full retreat, regrouping around the planetary shield generator and others were surrendering.

He took off his Combat armor and gear, then replacing it with a long formal Red coat, with an old royal insignia on the back. As he finally thought himself ready, an object inside his coat caused him to remember something. Something he had long put past him and almost forgotten. He smiled and mumbled to himself; "All that ends well..."

All that was left for Thain to do, was wait for the Mandalorians*

OOC: Sigh. Whatever.

*Somehow having forced themselves through the defensive line and the physical barriers, the infantry scatter throughout the buildings on both sides of the road. The tanks are outflanked and destroyed along with the AT-AE's.

As AA and Arbelast support fails to stop the enemy aerial vehicles, they get decimated and are in full retreat.

General-Secretary Thain left the combat room without saying anything and went to his personal quarters where he picked up an envelope entitled to "Commodore Malan Drayson". He gave it to a trusted Carrier, picked a few things from his desk-drawer and left for the Council Plaza in the middle of the city.*

Headhunter128 Jan 26 2014, 4:07am says:

*The infantry was well dug in and took less losses than expected and the anti-air covered as well. The Heavy TB-4 tanks retaliate, firing missiles and their heavy lasors cannons, targeting the Canderous tanks.

AT'AEs fire their mortars and heavy repeaters, targeting any infantry trying to encroach on the line.

As the Howlers and gunships approach, anti-air infantry from the rooftops behind the main line targets them from afar, with FAAV's and Arbelasts firing missiles from below. Making sure any attempt to make a run at the line meets a deadly end.

The Mandalorian convoys now hear a loud strange sound, as small concealed seismic charges inside the tall buildings went off next to the convoy. 4 Buildings on each side now fall towards the Highway, falling on top of the convoy.

At the rear of the convoy, infantry seemingly appear out of nowhere as they come up from the sewer and maintenance tunnels and engage any forces they find, also bringing Anti-Air and Anti-Tank weapon squads with them

At the shield generator itself, it indeed do seem under-protected.*

OOC: Yay for misunderstandings! :P

The Speeders take some losses, many crashing into the sides on the highway and other speeders, however the ignored turrets which have been firing at the Naast droids for quite a while do their jobs well and provide distraction and confusion.

AT-AE's now move out of range from the Mandalorian infantry and tanks as they move behind the Main defensive line.

The Akaane's beam hit the planetary shield and troops rush to the generators from all directions and the guards inside lock down the facility. Blast doors close around the generators.*

*Despite heavy fire and engagements in 3 separate fronts, 4 including the air and artillery. The Ruusan forces starts to withdraw, popping smoke grenades and providing cover fire for those that need it.

The artillery is destroyed despite their advantages, seemingly outmatched in every way.

On the Highways, speeders turn around and engage the Naast Droids. As the remaining AT-AE's start their retreat to the main line, they also fire mortar rounds against the Mandalorian Infantry and convoy in order to keep them suppressed.

The Crossfires take some losses, do what they came to do and then withdraw with the rest

The rangers find the power generators lightly guarded.*

Headhunter128 Jan 22 2014, 7:47am says:

*The Sledge hammers find the Ruusan artillery well covered by the tall buildings surrounding the Highway. A few are hit by the ones with a more direct line of sight, but even more fire back and retaliate.

The chaffs deployed by the Candorous tanks are largely ineffective and the dumb-fired rockets hit their targets, with some still missing though, as they weren't guided.

With most of the enemy vehicles either destroyed or scattering, Crossfires moves in an attacks the infantry line from above, some of them attempting to distract enemy remaining AA out in the open first.

The Naast Droids were fast and manages to slow down and confuse the AT-AE's. However the Speeders were even faster, deploying Turrets along the way to help deal with the droids.

From the sidestreets, Battledroids engage the Mandalorian infantry, supported by Ruusan militia, the engagement seems favorable as the Mandalorian have just diverted squads away.

The Countermeasures save them from the missiles fired, but not much else as the Crossfires and Twin-laser cannons of the FAAV traps them. However, the Mandalorian Rangers are not spotted.*

OOC: Just a few notes: Any half decent military will ALWAYS been going for precision shots in order to avoid collateral damage, but it still happens.

Also, Non-Lethal ordnance? You need to travel further into the wild west with that one.

"Incoming!" A Soldier shouts as he moves behind a building wall. Shortly after all forces are ordered to fall back if they meet heavy opposition near the edges of the city.

As the Mandalorians move further up the main roads, MAC shells now hit the Shev'lae and Sundari. Spotters on some of the higher buildings assisting them.

As the Mandalorians also start to approach the main defense perimiter. They face a smaller counter-attack. Arbalests are dumb-firing rockets against the Canderous tanks, supported by AT-AE's and quite a few Recon speeders.

As the enemy Howlers and Thanes are spotted, they are allowed to enter further into the city among the taller buildings where there is less room to maneuver. Half buried in rubble to mask it, a FAAV opens fire on the incoming Howlers and Thanes. From above now attacks a squad of Crossfires.*

*Inside the city, most civilians have already been relocated to emergency shelters.

On the outskirts of the city, the Ruusan Militia is ready. On all the major roads into the city, fortifications are placed, protected by infantry in front, then tanks and further down the road, closely guarded artillery. Any minor roads into the city were made inhospitable to anything but infantry.

General-Secretary Thain was overseeing the defenses personally.*

*The meeting resumed, and the representatives made a short comment that they needed more time to think and asked if the Federation had heard any news of the Ruusan conflict. However they were unable to make contact with General-Secretary Thain, casing many of the representatives to whisper among each other. The Federation Senator stood up.

"As you can all see, we have lost contact with Mr. Thain. It would seem that the Mandalorians have entered the system of Ruusan itself, which confirms some disturbing reports that we have just received.

Not long ago, B.A.C.T.A contacted the Federation reporting that the Mandalorians opened fire on their ships as they were preparing to provide aid once the conflict escalated. As a result and out of fear for their employees. The B.A.C.T.A Fond have withdrawn from the Ruusan sector. There are still many in the Ruusan sector but they fear an attempt to retrieve them will result in more hostility.

It would seem not even neutral humanitarian groups can be expected to have their neutrality respected. And if I may say; this further proves the Mandalorian intentions are not honest."

The Senator sat down once again*

*While the Crossfires fighting Besu'liiks where holding them off for now, they were starting to take casualties and were unable to inflict the same damage upon the enemy in most cases as they had to rely on visuals to engage as the computers were too unreliable when it case to the enemy vessels stealth capabilities.

In order to avoid too many losses against the Reciprocators, although not dedicated a anti-starfighter vessels, the Bombers were focusing their firepower on the Keldables and Agressors and of course still going against the Flagship.

The bombers made a final run against the Interdictor wells on the Mandalorian flagship, followed quickly by another shot from the HP-gun on the surface of the planet, breaching the shield and doing some damage in the area, disrupting the Gravity wells.

In front of the Nebulas the Endurance carries lost their shields and took heavy damage from the fire, one of them even breaking in two as massive explosions surged throughout the ships.

Malan was witnessing it all from the bridge. "Commander". He called for his second in command. "Are the hyperdrives ready?" - "Yes sir, shall I give the signal?"

"Aye". Malan responded. There was nothing more they could do here. The fleet, what was left of it, set a course towards Uoro'cor and entered hyperspace. The starfighters soon followed.

At the rear of the Mandalorian fleet, bombers made some final runs at the weakest targets, after which most entered hyperspace. The Starfighters and the rest of the bombers diverted power to engines and rear deflectors, making a run for the planet. A dozen of them holding of any pursuers.*

OOC. Don't worry pain, I didn't think this would be easy, I know that your veteran soldiers have a score to settle with me after our grand battle of Naboo xD

IC: *As the Rest of Lord Pains fleet moves to protect the Armageddon against the Crossfires, B-wing and K-wing. The Galactic Alliance Core fleet arrives into firing range.

Imperious and Scythe class engange the frigats and corvettes to minimize the casualties among the advanced assault force that continue to wreak havoc on the Armagaddons weapon systems. They stay close to the hull to attract friendly fire from the Sith ships.

On board the Armageddon, I suddenly stop and order the assault squad to get to cover. Only seconds later, turrets emerge from the floor and pin down everyone in the hallway. Sith troopers arrive to help. I deflect an array of fire and kills a few of them. Then I destroy the nearby blast door panel causing an overload and the door closes. I look to the Squad commander.

"Lieutenant! Find me another route to the brigde!"

The Lieutenant tooks over a scematic on a nearby console and point to another hall. On my mark I order the squad to move out.

In the meantime the two sqauds sent to extract Sab3r have only faced light resistance and reaches the engine room.*
