I agree with java-gaming.org that what makes an RPG great and lasting, is being able to have lots of control over the way your character grows from STAR TO FINISH. A highly customizable a character is an important factor in game design. If an RPG doesn’t have enough customization/freedom then chances are that it will be boring and repetitive.
While I am sure many folks will enjoy playing within the linearity of a predefined character, the more I read about Celeritos Eos, the more it appears as though the design will be too constraining to be my cup of tea, so I will probably take a pass in playing it; but that’s why they make chocolate AND vanilla.

Recently retired Jersey Boy, I like RPG games with a good story, and prefer playing ranger/archer types, and battles where strategy/tactics trump brute strength. I also like playing as female characters. The way I see it, If I want to see a good looking muscular guy, I'll look in the mirror. I "speak" Alice (2.2 and 3.0 BETA), Java, Visual Basic, and C++, but it's been a while since I've written any code.
