now for something constructive to tie in :D-i do think you could have created a brush bases create but its quite obvious that its just a placeholder. now what i would like to see is bump and specular maps on the dev textures, it would give it some sleek shiny detail (just my opinion) also would be cool if some of the architecture was created out of displacement because everything looks preety flat and sharp edged so maby some displacement arches or something could spice it up :)
the custom wallpaper gives it a nice touch :) but the ceiling looks extremely plane for some reason :/
i think you should just add some nice refracting textures to the crystals :D
all i have to say is **** YA :D this means i can have even more zombies in my maps!!!!

well is there a big diffrence with the blur you have added in photoshop? dos is change the lighting?
could you not edit the picture? then people don't really know how it will look in game.
the color correction must be messed up here? or the hdr, i had a verry diffrent outcome from the color correction?
but most of what i did was just optimize the map and fix alot of brushwork

what do you mean i guess? Ryan Gholson just recently started creating player models because we have replaced all the 1.4 weapons now :)

i just read the letter from john peppers and i literaly thought it was saying kissing instead of killing when i first look at it lol :P such as "nothing to stop them from kissing me just like they kissed everyone else" but its just the font looks like an s to me :P also that "puzzle" test dosent realy seam like a puzzle to me? all in all looking forward to seeing this mod finished :D

for a name im thinking of lastchance because the theme for the map is like a survivors last chance and they built and started up a colony with barier walls surounding to keep out the infected, but they broke throug and you have to protect youre last chance for the human race
this is in its begining stages and theirs ALOT more im going to do :P

i would really never add those textures to a building unless there being used in a skybox, i know this is still a wip but seams like most of the detail should be made out of brushwork and not textures,

i think it would be really nice to add some refracting textures to the maps,
you think S:O is repetitive? every multiplayer game which has the same objective every time is repetitive, we have more game modes then mods have maps lol

if your going to use block textures, i could make some normal and specular maps for them? would really be a visual upgrade
the only way i can see of finishing that would be starting over, the displacement is way to jaged
try sewing multiple displacements together and getting a smother feel. there is ugly and there is first time mapping ugly...
you do know the tree prop is hovering over the dirt also?
so how are the SO models comming? are you taking a break?
did i once say they cant work on art aswell? no i said they should work more on other aspects of the mod, like in game content, because all i really see sofar in the mod is just alot of photoshop material.

all the brush work is pretty plane, i think you should never have one wall which only consist of one brush...add some architecture

they look great :P i have used them in a new map, the resolution is 512 by 512 and thats normal for hl2 textures
my recorder darkens the video abit , but you also have night vision (which works in 1.50) and i like how dark it is, it makes the players head in toward the cabin and not just go off into the woods. plus it makes it alot more spooky :D and even is it that much of a hassle to turn you're flash light on.
Man if you had these weapons and zombies were overflowing the earth , they would get used, and thus they would get dirty and bloody, we tied all the weapons together with some blood spattered on the sides and such and I believe it’s more realistic to have dirty (bloody) weapons instead of having clean ones :P

hey guys im making a way more interactive version of panic, its a mixture of survival and hold off but ur rewarded by holding off section areas with the abilities to access more areas :P like hold off the top floor for 120 seconds then the wall will break..... might not soudn as good but its coming along great :P. except for some damn errors
