Your generic level designer, animator, modeller and programmer. I dislike butt kissers and decievous idiots, but otherwise I'm a nice guy. Feel free to ask me on programming issues, programming is my specialty.

Being a Half-Life modder for 6 years now, I'm quite shocked to see how the community has been completely parodized by a group of popular modders who are exploiting and betraying the actual talented people. Popular is the main factor here. This group doesn't want to make actual, talented, original work, but just spew something pretty out with awesome graphics to amaze the masses and gain popularity, and they do this even by the most disgusting means. One of these so-called mods is the Heart of Evil : Napalm Edition mod, wich was devised by an incompetent, talentless mod leader. I don't have anything against the actual developers of this modification, but it's incompetent leader.
You may ask, who am I talking about? Well, I have nothing to hide. I'm talking about Half-Life Creations, a group of modders that I spent some time with. This time was a sequence of rather uncomfortable relationships with certain people. I'm not generalizing, not all of the mod developers there are worthless, but some of them have managed to sink to the bottom of humanity.
Why am I writing this? Because I want to expose these pitiful liars, stealers and deceivers to the public, of what they've done, how they're capable of going as far as trying to steal someone's hard work behind their backs when they know they can't get it. I found out about another attempt recently, and this broke the limit, but I made a promise not to plunge the person into this.
I first joined Half-Life Creations as a newbie modder, working on the modification called Raven City, wich eventually died with a horrible death scream. I'll tell how this happened. I had befriended the developer of the Arrangement mod, back then it was called Arrange Mode. His mod later became more and more popular, and soon he joined the Half-Life Creations community, and since back then we were friends, I had started posting there too. Soon, as my programming skills evolved, I began implementing more and more eye candy into my game, with wich I was hoping to enhance the "feel" of the game. However, this attracted the uncomfortable attention of certain parasites, one of them was a modder in the HLC community by the name of D3ads. At first, it wasn't obvious that he was only interested in getting the code, but over time it came to me that his behaviour was nothing more than butt-licking, and mostly on the lowest human level.
This is the time by wich my my friend offered the Half-Life Creations admin, and the mod leader of the Heart of Evil : Napalm Edition mod his help, but since he couldn't get the work done, he asked me to help. I decided to help. However, I quickly regretted this, as I got a tyrant on my back. Editor-321, the mod leader proved to be an incompetent and impatient person who had no idea of development time, and after I had enough of him pushing me on the work, I implemented my unfinished code into their codebase and passed it down to my friend, who then never managed to finish it. Of course, I later told him to buzz off, as I had enough of his agressive tactics and dumb behaviour. Later, we got into a fight with this person, and I decided to tell the public of his butt-kissing and dumb behaviour to the public. This topic got deleted completely.
Later, I began work on the graphics engine for Arrangement. I had attracted the attention of the modder Minuit, who was interested in using it in his mod, Cry of Fear. I was willing to do share it, knowing that he was a respected modder, but my opinion soon changed, as I had to find out that he tried to get access to the files of Raven City behind my back. So, I dumped him too. This is when another troll appeared on the spot, the long-gone butt-licker D3ads. He tried using Raven City to get to me, but I finally announced that the code won't be open-sourced. Later, the renderers for AM were cut out due to high system requirements, and later numerous disputes continued, and this eventually culminated in me dumping that community. Later, however, since others were interested in using my work, I had to find out about another atrocious attempt at stealing my work, wich I can't explain in detail, as I had promised the person involved that I wouldn't talk about it.
So, this is how it happened, and these are the people who have sunken below the minimum.

It's kinda sad, that you met these guys.
You must've done quite amazing job on the coding side. It's really too bad that other people tend to abuse such work.
Still, your blog post was quite aggressive. Even if you were in a strong emotional state, maybe you should have shown a more calm, and additionally a more professional nature in your writing. That way you would have looked more like the true victim of other peoples stubbornness, instead of making you look like a hostile person yourself.
Even with these unfortunate events, I hope you remain passionate and maybe find some better people to work with in the future.
I was actually very angry when I wrote this, because I had just found out something very disgusting done by one of these people, that's what made me want to write this blog. I don't really consider myself a victim, because in the end I still haven't lost anything really to these people. In fact, they were the ones who couldn't really get what they wanted, no matter how much and low they tried.
The blog itself is hostile because it's not meant to victimize me, it's meant to expose these disgusting people.
What the hell? I tried to get the Raven City mod files behind your back? What on earth are you talking about?
Wat.
Reading this, and knowing the people that you're talking about for quite long, I, in honesty, have to say:
That's bullshat.
If you're telling me HoE: NE was made by an incompetent mod leader, how come it kicks ass?
Your logic is... non-existant.
Also, you're trying to render HLC as something like FPSB, which in fact, IS just stolen content all over the place.
I'm not trying to insult you, but all you've said so far looks like a bunch of lies to get rid of the aggression, built up in your nerdy heart.
And lastly...
Proof?
P.S.: If James tried to steal from you... how come he's still on your friends list?
Oh, and just as a note, HLC does not all work together. We're not a group of people all collaborating together. For example, D3ads works with a group of separate people to who I work with, the people I work with on CoF aren't active on HLC (except ruMpel who very rarely posts).
The way you've written it makes it sound like we're all in some kind of conspiracy together. Sure, 99% of the people on HLC are friends, but that's because it's a small community.
Why would we want to steal your code when we already have our code to Cry of Fear?
This is stupid.
I'm sorry but this is absolute drivel, How dare you!
When have I actually tried to get the source code for the new renderer you made? I haven't. Have I expressed a great interest in your work? Yes. Have I attempted to get the code from you? No. Seriously, you've shared some of your code work with me before, to which I am grateful, I haven't been able to use that code before I have as much coding knowledge as a seagull. When I heard/saw your work on the custom renderer for AM I was gob-smacked, the work you've managed to make on the HL engine is amazing. I've made tongue-in-cheek comments about getting hold of the code, I thought you would realise that but perhaps being that English isn't your first language you overlooked that or something, damned if I know. I must have missed the 50 PMs I sent you asking for the source code constantly... maybe I was sleepwalking at the time...
Yes, I'd love to get hold of the code but not to the extent of "licking your ass" about it till you eventually fold, I have other things to do with my time. What can I say, you've made wonders with a 12 year old engine, who wouldn't want the code? It's one thing to have the code, it's another to actually make use of it to it's full potential. I was disheartened to learn that Raven City was dead and I certainly didn't intend to use that to soften you up so I could get hold of the code which is what you seem to think of me.
I don't try and fuck people over for personal gain, never have done and never will do. Besides, wasn't it me who aired concern about Vocko using your code in his mod for the public domain? I asked if you'd given him permission before I realised that he had been working on the project with your aid.
You really need to pull your head out of your ass if you think everyone's out to get at you and steal your beloveth code. Reading this blog, you sound a little bit over paranoid. Perhaps you should take a break from the internet, this is the second time you've thrown a tantrum on the Internet, the first being the AM forums.
It would have been more respectful to actually PM me with your concerns rather than have a hissy fit in the public domain, it's downright rude and uncalled for, especially since the "facts" point towards your own misconception of the situation.
I don't know you and I really didn't have anything against you or any hostile intentions at all but after reading this I'm finding it hard not to feel angry at you for being such a tit. Think before you act in future.
