Actually I see it is like that, that's really a shame.

My mistake! I thought the launcher was something like MTX for the meknet addons and mods. That it was just a downloader and you would dl and install at once. I see I was wrong and its just an auto installer. Thanks for the great work guys! Now I have to burn some sick leave to have time to really try it out!

Is there a way to dl the mod without the launcher? I have multiple copies of FL installed, each with different mods installed in them. It is my two copies of the game that I legally purchased. I also would like to put the mod on my laptop, which I do not connect to the internet with. Thanks.

Ah ok, the comment above me says that you need to buy Doom 2 for it to work. If it really is standalone then that is bad ***.

So what is standalone about it? That generally means that you don't have to own the source game, that the mod is standalone from the main game.

I can say I will give the server a shot. I've waited about 26 years for this game, since I first discovered Star Wars when I about 5. I want to experience it completely, I just love having the sp option especially for playing long after the servers go down.

BTW, you guys have to release this... I don't know how much more my near middle aged heart can take from the anticipation!

The updates look great, I'm looking forward to the release. I was just curious, have you guys worked on the missions for single player? In 1.9 the only missions were "fly to this point" and "locate this wreck". I flew around the universe waiting to get to the story and the missions, but it never really came. It was still fantastic flying around and exploring all of the new areas, especially the Sol System. I was also looking forward to new alien tech and such.

Yessir, their decision to include the server files doubled this mod's value for me. I work full time, go to school full time, and have a family... I just don't have time for online gaming anymore. You just can't keep up, which relates to not having a good time in those circumstances. Playing solo lets me enjoy it at my own pace and not have to worry about keeping up with everyone else.

Yes if you keep the factions as is.

No if you add more factions to Mordor and Isengard to balance it out.

Personally I never minded this, I figured it was just the mechanics of the engine that all factions may declare war on each other. Even though it didn't happen in the lore, it still could. They are different nations, which would have border disputes and other issues to go to war over. To me it's fine and adds a bit of realism to the world, even though it's not 100% scripture.

I haven't really been able to try the mod due to bugs like this either, my game just keeps crashing out when I get into the mission. Sometimes I don't even get a minute of flight time and it crashes while loading the mission. I'm just waiting for a more finished release to check it. It looks awesome, I can't wait until the next release.

I'm w ya broseph. I think it was 2004 or so when I started following Freeworlds, I followed that and Tides of War until they merged. I still play Freeworlds from time to time on a private server. I don't know whats worse tho, how much time I'm going to spend playing this when it releases or how much time I spend staring at this home screen waiting for it to change haha.

I wish I could help in some way. Either way, I am no stranger to the modding community, I've been around for more than one. Basically I am willing to wait for a quality mod, which in many cases is better than the original game. What you guys are doing here is a tribute to one of my favorite game series/universes.

Looks like it's dead, brah. =( I feel your pain, this was the first zelda game that I bought brand new. I was a teenager when N64 came out and was working, so I saved and bought it brand new in anticipation of this game. Oh well, these mods are a lot of work that the modders are doing in their spare time. Maybe they'll release what they have at some point.
