Thanks for doing this mod! I'm surprised there aren't more TFA mods with the new movie out and new ones coming. I'm just glad we have this one

I'm really looking forward to this! Any chance there will be any content from the new movies? Either way, thanks for your hard work and I can't wait to try it out!

No, you misunderstood me. Why post a mod on Moddb, but then don't offer it on Moddb? If it's a steam exclusive mod and it's so difficult to offer the mod on Moddb, then it doesn't make sense to show it to so many that don't use steam and can't get it. If steam is so much easier to get mods, then chances are anyone with the steam version can find you mod on the steam page. Anyone can post anything on Moddb that is accepted by admins, but it doesn't make sense if this is some people's only source of getting mods and they can only read about it here. I never really saw mods posted on Moddb that weren't going to offer a download on Moddb, and I've been using this site for as long as I can remember. It should make the mod team happy that even non-steam players are interested in their mod and you would think they would want more exposure, but I'm not part of the team and my opinion doesn't really matter. To be honest, I understand that some of GoG's game versions are out of sync and the mods may not work because they are for the steam version, but sometimes GoG catches up and I can then use that version of the mod without an issue, such as the recent patch for Sins. Good luck with this and the BSG mod, they look great and I would love to be able to support them if I was willing to use steam. Don't get me wrong, I understand you guys will make the best decisions for your team and project, my frustration is with steam and the fact that I can't access two of my most anticipated mods. I will say, I know GoG is working with the companies to keep up with the steam versions and I hope someone will post your mod on another site after you release it. I would gladly do the work to upload any files to Moddb for you so it can be offered here. I don't have any programming or modeling skills to offer, but I am willing to contribute at least something to get myself a copy of it and I know I'm not the only one it would benefit. There are probably as many who hate and refuse to use steam as there are steam users, I've seen post after post for mods for some games that only have mod downloads on steam such as rebel galaxy.

Why have it on moddb then? More of a reason to despise that virus steam and I guess I can stop following.

I just downloaded the HW2 version of the mod to use with classic and I love it! This is the BSG mod I've been waiting for. Its a shame that they turned so many modders away with lawsuits, but it's great to see that some of you stuck through it to deliver perfectly awesome BSG games since the owners of the franchise never cared to.

I asked this on your Stargate page and want to ask here too: Will you be releasing this outside steam since HWR is no longer steam exclusive? Please remember us nonsteam fans!

Sorry, I wasn't logged in...

Now that Homeworld Remastered is not steam exclusive, will you make the mod available to the rest of us? I was also wondering if SG Universe will be represented in this mod? The description just said "both series" and I saw a picture of the Destiny. Tbh I loved the original movie and SGU, I wasn't really a fan of the other two tv series.

I'm curious about this too. I have Sins and can't use most of the good mods for the same reason.

Bad ***! Hopefully you guys will finish and we will get a real BF3! Any single player support planned? Even if it's just bots, in fact I wouldn't expect anything more than the classic games. I returned my copy of the new BF due to download and DLC required, no sp, and online required. I saw the FAQ and it's not planned for now, but at least bots?

For anyone with the same issue, it was the vsync. It took hours of looking through various forums and thanks to the new battlefront it was impossible to find things relevant to my search. It had nothing to do with the mod, the mod is actually great. I thought it was part of why I couldn't crouch, but had nothing to do with it. If you find you are unable to crouch or anything like that, try to enable vsync.

Disregard my last. That is completely my mistake and I apologize. For anyone who is wondering, it is not the mod but windows 7. It creates a second directory under your user profile in a file called virtual store. Basically the game was not uninstalling due to this and the mod and save files were remaining. Sorry, after 10+ uninstalls and reinstalls and various attempts at removing this I was extremely frustrated.

Gylfe @ Battlefront One and a Half (1.5) era mod (v 1.1)

This mod broke my crouch function. I tried to uninstall, remove registry, and reinstall but it will not go away. No matter what I've done, even removing all components and save files during uninstall. The worst part is the smart comment about adding an uninstall later in the readme of the mod. This mod may screw up your game and there is no way to get rid of it.

My mistake! I thought the launcher was something like MTX for the meknet addons and mods. That it was just a downloader and you would dl and install at once. I see I was wrong and its just an auto installer. Thanks for the great work guys! Now I have to burn some sick leave to have time to really try it out!

Is there a way to dl the mod without the launcher? I have multiple copies of FL installed, each with different mods installed in them. It is my two copies of the game that I legally purchased. I also would like to put the mod on my laptop, which I do not connect to the internet with. Thanks.

Ah ok, the comment above me says that you need to buy Doom 2 for it to work. If it really is standalone then that is bad ***.

So what is standalone about it? That generally means that you don't have to own the source game, that the mod is standalone from the main game.

I can say I will give the server a shot. I've waited about 26 years for this game, since I first discovered Star Wars when I about 5. I want to experience it completely, I just love having the sp option especially for playing long after the servers go down.

BTW, you guys have to release this... I don't know how much more my near middle aged heart can take from the anticipation!

The updates look great, I'm looking forward to the release. I was just curious, have you guys worked on the missions for single player? In 1.9 the only missions were "fly to this point" and "locate this wreck". I flew around the universe waiting to get to the story and the missions, but it never really came. It was still fantastic flying around and exploring all of the new areas, especially the Sol System. I was also looking forward to new alien tech and such.

Yessir, their decision to include the server files doubled this mod's value for me. I work full time, go to school full time, and have a family... I just don't have time for online gaming anymore. You just can't keep up, which relates to not having a good time in those circumstances. Playing solo lets me enjoy it at my own pace and not have to worry about keeping up with everyone else.

Yes if you keep the factions as is.

No if you add more factions to Mordor and Isengard to balance it out.

Personally I never minded this, I figured it was just the mechanics of the engine that all factions may declare war on each other. Even though it didn't happen in the lore, it still could. They are different nations, which would have border disputes and other issues to go to war over. To me it's fine and adds a bit of realism to the world, even though it's not 100% scripture.
