I'm w ya broseph. I think it was 2004 or so when I started following Freeworlds, I followed that and Tides of War until they merged. I still play Freeworlds from time to time on a private server. I don't know whats worse tho, how much time I'm going to spend playing this when it releases or how much time I spend staring at this home screen waiting for it to change haha.

Are you Polish?
Keep up the great work! Looks awesome! Perfect tribute to one of my all time favorite games.
I wish I could help in some way. Either way, I am no stranger to the modding community, I've been around for more than one. Basically I am willing to wait for a quality mod, which in many cases is better than the original game. What you guys are doing here is a tribute to one of my favorite game series/universes.
Battlefront was one of my most anticipated and favorite games of all time, the ultimate star wars game. This mod looks simply amazing, I hope you guys keep plugging along and get it finished!
Thanks for your hard work, guys! I can't wait to try this out. Of course growing up with BTTF I always wanted to see a good game released, I had the old 8 bit Nintendo games.
Thanks for your hard work, guys! I loved the previous versions and can't wait to get my hands on 2.0!
The anticipation is killing me, checking in here every day to figure out when I'm going to take some extended sick leave =P That and hope my wife understands why this will consume my life for a while lol
Looks epic, keep it up!
This looks like it's going to be awesome!
Of all the mods that I am eagerly watching, this is probably my favorite. I grew up with the original Megaman and have always wanted this exact game, a 3d version of the original blue bomber. Keep it up guys, it's awesome so far!
Looks fantastic, guys! Keep up the great work!
Looks like it's dead, brah. =( I feel your pain, this was the first zelda game that I bought brand new. I was a teenager when N64 came out and was working, so I saved and bought it brand new in anticipation of this game. Oh well, these mods are a lot of work that the modders are doing in their spare time. Maybe they'll release what they have at some point.
Looks awesome! DF2JK was one of my favorite games, its great to see a real mod out for it. Does this give the enhanced graphics for the normal campaign as well?
bots for it?
Is this still going, or is it the same as the 18.XX project? I think a lot of fans would love to see a Freeworlds with OSP or at least the ability to run a populated (ai) local server if at all possible.
Is it possible to run a local server and have the OSP feel at least? Sorry to hound you, I just don't play MP but would love to play this. I have the old versions with OSP, I think 1.5 and 1.6, they're just very empty.
I'm definitely tracking this one! I don't have SC2, but I will buy it the day this comes out. Warcraft has been one of my favorite game franchises since Warcraft: Orcs and Humans came out, I own or have owned every single Warcraft release including those horrid map packs they used to put out for WC2. Thank you for what you're doing with this and please see it through, no matter how long it takes =D
I literally die a little bit inside as each day passes awaiting this epicness =D. Not a rush post, just an encouraging one! I truly can't wait for the full release, or at least the ability to run a local server and check out a star system or two. Even the demo is truly amazing and the work you guys are doing here is just awesome. Thank you for what you've done and will do with this mod, which is already my video game wet dream since I was a small child.
I just wanted to say thank you for keeping this game alive. I first played it at release and played it non-stop for years, well actually until 2005. I was playing it online competitive (CAL, TWL, ect.) until Enemy Territory came out, and even still continued until it eventually got very difficult to find a good server. Easily one of my favorite games, but it always lacked any good mods. There were a lot of skins and such, a lot of maps for MP, but nobody ever really released a solid SP mod. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the new release and all your hard work!
Ah! I'm late, but not too late =D. Thanks for the new release, I can't wait to get out there and sink, rob, steal, plunder every ship I see!
Any chance that this would ever have a SP version? It looks frakkin awesome, I just don't play MP = /
Sorry, I don't speak/read German, will there be an English translation?
Can't wait for it!
Awesome! This is the best news I've gotten in some time =D Keep it up and don't get discouraged. I think maybe a lot of followers are checking less frequently, I know I was only maybe once a month. This is really awesome tho, seriously thank you guys!
I see it's open source, does that mean I must have Freespace already to use this mod? Or is this mod stand alone?
That's unfortunate = /
There were too many problems to describe, each time I would find a solution to the last a new one would show up. It was mostly my inexperience with Freelancer. Though I have owned the game since release, I have only tinkered with a few mods. All of which only required double clicking on the .flmod and activating in flmm. Some of it was my carelessness or negligence, others were just the blight of windows 7 64 bit. I find that any game older than around 2006 on that system will plague you with issues. When I want to bad enough I'll figure it out, it took me around 14 hours of messing with it to finally get CF working. Not only did I get it working, but figured out how to set up FL perfectly to have as many installs as I have mods and never have to reinstall it again (save for a HD wipe).
Star Citizen looks fantastic, unfortunately I think it will be too "sim" for my tastes and it appears to be online only. I enjoy sims, but being an old man of 30 with a career, wife and child it's tough for me to devote too much time into one game. While I would never condone dumbing down a game to suit a casual gamer, I just thought that Freelancer had the right amount of sim while keeping the gameplay fun and accessible. I love the controls, probably one of my favorite aspects of the game. While it was fun playing games like Tie Fighter with a full joystick setup and all, I don't own a joystick anymore for a number of reasons (space, four year old finding it fascinating, no money to get a decent one). Star citizen would be perfect if they took away the mmo aspect, or at least made it optional, and gave you the option for Freelancer controls.
That is effin amazing!
