The thing is, I just can't disregard people I don't agree with, as long as they're not shitposting ( I.imgur.com ). I've planned to make a follow up video, describing and showing off all features in full detail, but I am on such a tight time crunch that I cannot afford anything but working on C&C Mod 'til the end of this year.
I have a lot of sympathy towards poor FAKEFACTORY fella, he must have super thick skin if he could sustain buckets of crap showered on top of him ( sometimes rightfully so ), but God damn, that dude is a tank.
I'm kind of surprised to see that people compare this mod to Cinematic Mod or HL2:Update and even SMOD, as it's meant to replace or surpass them for some reason. In reality it's really not, it is its own small separate thing, a little bit different Half-Life 2 with action style like atmosphere.
But I guess some people wanna see what they wanna see, and I only can cater to them to some extent, in the end I'm making mod for people to enjoy, and the more people enjoy it the wider my smile will be.
Oh wow, that's awesome! I am extremely grateful to everyone who spreads the word, my main goal is to let more people enjoy my work in the end, and seeing all this attention is the best reward I could've ever asked for :D

I don't think I can recreate it myself, I'll need to bother someone else to re-script ep1 ending and later add new effects, so I really don't know, sorry :c
Before any of this is gonna be released I'd like to stick to source2013 for the time being, later on all the code stuff and particles can be ported to asw in a matter of days, as long as there's decent base for it.

Here goes new update, I've also FINALLY updated mod page with new art by sgor00 ( much love ) and updated mod description to include everyone who's helped me with this project, they're all amazing people, I can't thank them enough.
News post will come up after it gets authorized.
Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed new stuff, there's a lot that haven't been shown, but I'll make sure to show that off another time, now I'm switching to C&C mod til the end of the year, so thank you guys for waiting so long.

While I really can't do anything about buildings models, but I surely can enhance them with particle effects and make them less bland feature wise. I'll add smoke to smoke stacks, sparks and lovely glow to power plants, heat to ventilation shafts, all this cool stuff. Scale is pretty much temporary, I rushed making this .gif after stream and gone to bed at 6am, we'll resize everything later that's for sure. I absolutely adore both of those mods, and that will be the end goal for me to make them as good as in those mods, with tools and content available to me.

They're too fast, yeah. I'll need to separate dish from flag later on, so flag won't be affected by speed of dish.
No worries, it's all been settled for now, not sure where did my previous post go though, probably got removed as a chain post, for the better actually, I do tend to vent a little sometimes. As I've been saying there mod is alive and doing very well, time is very precious right now, working on 3 projects at once takes a huge toll on me. Maybe I'll do something special tomorrow at my YouTube channel, we'll see.
Was it really necessary to pack WHOLE valve folder from older WON version of the game, including your custom gamebanana skins into this download? What's even the point of all this? You don't need ANY of those folders : I.imgur.com

Don't worry everyone, it's still going, just the progress I'm making is more on a technical side, that visual. Year ago I've said that I've encountered "limits" of what game can actually handle in terms of size and amount of content, it would either crash or would just unload assets from the game itself, like GUI and sounds, at one point ModBuilder would just crash constantly because of size of mod and amount of assets there is. In the most recent builds I've eliminated this issue more or less, by re-coding the entire thing while removing and re-managing all the assets I currently have, It's a very long and tedious process, but it had to be done.
As for visuals - Right now I am working on ( finally ) porting buildings with animations to the game, right after that Sgor00 will start making new maps. I am scared to say this, but expect a video showcasing building animations in a week or so.
At this point saying that I have a busy life is like a cruel joke to everyone, but it really is that busy, and stuff that continues to happen irl is beyond my control unfortunately, and it takes a lot of time to fix it too. However, I simply cannot exist without this project being released, so you don't have to worry about me abandoning it.
This is fantastic, all those small details, from human impact lightnings to a slight emitting light glow around projectile, keep up the good work <3
I'm really excited about this project and I am very glad to see that this is not just skill.cfg changes, you've also added few neat little lore friendly touches which really fit to the game. Restoring Alien Slave heal mechanics, beta monsters, new skins, hopping headrcabs, those are all fantastic little things we're truly appreciate. The only issue I've seen so far is that human grunts seem a little bit bulletspongey, unless I'm missing something, do you have headshots? If yes, are they lethal for both parties? Keep up the good work! c:
