I wish I could install this on my machine but its installer is 16 bit only. :(
I feel they made this game too easy, I think I miss the survival-ness Far Cry 2 has.
I did say the PC used Goldsource, but the point I'm making is that the console version didn't used the ID Tech 3 engine nor the GoldSource engine, it seemed too different from the ID Tech 3 engine.
Some of the human vehicles such as the Armadillo and that van thing were originally in Quake 4 as wreckage's.
It doesn't make sense how they replaced the SMG MP5 with a AR M4 in the Hi-Res update pack.
Even though I played San Andreas before Vice City, I actually enjoyed Vice City much more.
I haven't actually tried the Unmaker in the newest BD so I have no idea if it's like the 64 counterpart.
Long ago I found a pack of weapon and pickup sounds from Goldeneye which sounded much higher in quality in their extracted state, I tried the firing sound used for the AR33 from Goldeneye modded into BD and it sounded much better than the firing sound used for the AR which I last remember from DBv16.
Also it would be cool if the Unmaker from Doom 64 could somehow be implemented into BD.
People still say it does even today, that's why I brought it up.
I think I enjoyed the first game the most, also it's got me interested in watching the Voyager series even though I was never a Star Trek fan.
Well I was never a ST fan but I tried this series last year and enjoyed it somewhat, although I was a little tired of the IDT3 engine despite liking that engine because I played just about all the games using it, however I liked the first game best despite the second having better gameplay.
Why the hell does it have a 9.6 rating? Doom 2 is worth having a complete 10! :/
Yes, happy 20 years of Doom! :)
I wish there was a descent attack chopper game available, I tried Apatche Air Assault but it's not really that good, also I hate the trend of regen health now being in aircraft games, also I miss being able to pick up ammo/fuel crates and having a limited supply of fuel which ran out gradually like in the old helicopter game LHX Attack Chopper.
There's no reason why Rockstar can't release mod tools after the multiplayer has died. :/
I wonder why the developer interpreted the red torches as being unnaturally red, they only had red in the vanilla game because they lacked enough orange colours in the palette, I think they're supposed to be normal flames.
I don't agree with the fact that a lot of stuff was left out of Skyrim, I also disliked the forced kill cams, I feel they only worked well with the fps games such as Fallout 3.
You don't really need an unpacker for them, they are merely renamed zip files.
Doom 3 obivously had the best graphics of any game of it's time, I don't understand the people who think Far Cry has greater graphics than it.
Skyrim is a perfect example of a shafed rpg game as it was done so to support and attract the noobs of the series.
"the best ever seen graphics by that time" I seriously disagree with that, Doom 3 obviously had the best graphics of that time. :P
Hey guys, apparently they pulled the code back down because of possibly some legal issues, however I managed to find alternate links to the downloads.
I can't wait 'til someone makes a graphics mod for either game.
Actually in the name of Tchernobog. :P
It kind of sucks how a game made 3 years after Doom didn't ever get official modding tools or a source code release.
Crysis 1's graphics were ahead of it's time while Crysis 2's graphics weren't ahead of its time, but they were a little better than Crysis 1's. The only real flaw with Crysis 2 was its linearity.
The lower screenshot looks like it is of a Spanish or Mexican town.
To be honest, I prefered this game much more than Skyrim.
Wow, I didn't know until now that this game came out on the same year as Daggerfall.
As much as this game sparked my interest for me to want to buy it as my first Diablo game, I really can't agree with the permanent internet requirements of it as my internet connection is already terrible as it is.
