Having worked as a farmer and woodcutter for most of my life i became determined to do something that would leave my mark after i was gone. Since then i got back to studies, and i have now a master degree in Electrotecnical Engineering as well as a degree on Electromechanical Engineering. On my free time i like playing and so i became interested in creating my own games or, in the shorter term, modding games to get something closer to what i would like games to be.

Man i was just using the pre-existant squads to test things not saying they would be like this, that is why i refered early test.
What are your thoughts? on pimping out the squad leaders?

I think it is a good idea, although i have my reserves about adding too much leaders to the builders will have to test it but in my head i can think of it getting messy. The bodyguard can easily receive the leaders and get to the point of being the killiest of them all :P
LoLz, so we get only one builder Squad?
In comparison of what I just typed up, the builder squad would get 8 shooties and the slave bodyguard would get 8 shooties.
Both squad sizes 12 if you go with 4 leaders on the builder squad. :P
What else is going to make them tempting to use? :P

No there are several slave builder squads available (3) but the movement of the squad (not each slave) is a bit odd when moving around from building point to building point and having the leaders could just add to the oddity that is the only reason i have some reserves about it.
If there were more than just 2 slave units there could be pure slave armies but with nothing to stomp the big guns i don't think they would be that useful unless you rushed them into the enemy base.
How about I build lots of buildings that build slaves and keep them running into the enemy base and reinforcing? :P

"OMG, I got slaved rush to death" I can hear it now. :P LoLz. :P
So to keep that late game, might be better to keep them in the HQ Building as they are costlier to build and it would not happen very much. :P
All craziness to just add more diversity to the races. :)
If we could get some slaves with jetpacks and dual ranged weapons we could turn a slave rush in a slave jump :P

We should indeed ask Deathwatch and also thudmeizer for some cooperation since it would mean better models and a base for FFE variations if needed. The tau right now are the basic firewarriors although i have no desire of leaving them that way. I have thought about making a list of desired models and try to motivate a modeller (perhaps Deathwatch) to help us in the future when other projects were not claiming modeller skills. I also want to attract a modeller to help in getting a sizeable amount of parts for almost every model ingame to be easily replaced through FFE work, namely new heads, weapons for some models, a kroot with animated wings and things like that :P
With the tau fire warriors did you want to try and use the ones I did up with personal body shields for SS?
As the translucency doesn't work in DC as seen by the windows of the Mess.
What models need replacement parts?
For about 6 months I think DW78 Will be a bit busy with UM. :P

The fire warrior with body shields might be nice. I meant replacement parts in a wider range than the Praetorian mod, if you get the point ;)
As you said before man the Praetorians have no need to be rushed, so much years have passed, some more wouldn't be a problem (at least years until final version). I refered thudo due to his importance in several mods including UM and asking him access would be at least a courtesy that might prove useful in the future. Always keep good relations cause better things can be obtained ;)
Yes FFE Latest version has a *.chk export/import now. :)
I am hoping I can get the Blender tutorial better with more complete information. I am not the best at it, as Ravenlance on relic would be the best to teach us. :)
Max can do it, but there are not enough maxers to go around sadly and we all have distracting lives. :(
I think if more babble about everything tried in FFE gets onto relic more might become available. :)
