Having worked as a farmer and woodcutter for most of my life i became determined to do something that would leave my mark after i was gone. Since then i got back to studies, and i have now a master degree in Electrotecnical Engineering as well as a degree on Electromechanical Engineering. On my free time i like playing and so i became interested in creating my own games or, in the shorter term, modding games to get something closer to what i would like games to be.
I have been having some ideas on the ork walls and this represents part of the things that worked out nicely. So what do you think? Is this turning into an orky town?
Yup. Drools.
Oh and here I wasn't being sarcastic... just so you know.
Yeah i know man, it was just the duality of that specific comment that gave me some doubts not the rest.
They look brutal and orkish.
How does the overlap go with the slopes?
As I found with walls unless you allow and overlap you get gaps between walls and slopes, that anyone can climb through. :P
Best test of it is deadmans crossing.
The reason I did so much with the walls off centre. was so that they could handle slopes.
Which I should see if I still have, as they are a nightmare to implement.
When you mean off centre you are refering to the fact that the centre of the model has an offset which is similar to that of the original settlement?
Soldiers climbing through slopes due to walls? Maybe that is due to the same feature that was used on this map to get elevators:
Moddb.com
which is passable terrain strethced vertically.
If i understood correctly about the off centre part, you wouldn't have a previous wall version with the centre differently, would you? If you had i would be interested in those.
