Having worked as a farmer and woodcutter for most of my life i became determined to do something that would leave my mark after i was gone. Since then i got back to studies, and i have now a master degree in Electrotecnical Engineering as well as a degree on Electromechanical Engineering. On my free time i like playing and so i became interested in creating my own games or, in the shorter term, modding games to get something closer to what i would like games to be.

Yeah buddy, I am still watching and learning as far as educational purposes go.

Don't stress if you stuff up. :)
I have been there many times before and some modding Nazi is bound to come along and tell you where you went wrong. :D

They can see from my profile what DOW Units I body Sync'd, even though it will not make sense to them in their minds. :)

It's all testosterone from want to be interactive media developers.

While you explore the possibilities of potential troops as far as the warhammer 40,000 universe goes and expand on the limited cognition of those that have gone before you, you will do what they cant and they will be jealous.

After 3 decades or more of this genre, I have found how lil' so many know. :)

Like we have talked about in the past, what seem non-lore, just means it is not internet lore and there is in my mind, the mind of a would be dreadnought, rules for the majority of what is being created here.

Always remember the internet doesn't have everything. :)
I just has IP breaching criminal expressions of their knowledge of current media. :P They are all Heretics, Purge them all...!

JL will give you reasoning as he is working on a campaign set last I knew dealing with it, and it would be JL that would give you good feedback.

It is just a pity I dont have time to do a Venenum Assassin.
Or my own personal gripes the Spyrer up as Assassins. As there is rules about using them as assassins somewhere. :P Yes, Yes in their development over 15 years ago, there were rules. :P WTF the internet doesn't have it, what a surprise... :P OMG Imagine if the internet had everything?

Enjoy what you are doing buddy. :)

And dont go where I have been these last 3 decades as it is a costly exercise. :P Some would say too costly. :P

You are right RT2. Still the problem is not always the fact that the information is not around but rather the fact that people interpret what is around narrowly.

For example a gang from Necromunda could easily be turned into the retinue of an Inquisitor since some Inquisitors are said to prefer the fast reactions of underhive gang members. Despite that most people imagine the acolytes as something more advanced than a group of people wielding crude or personally made weapons.

If we consider the RPG Dark Heresy (if I am not mistaken that's the name) things like mechanicum soldiers could be an option also for the retinue of an Inquisitor, despite the fact that the mechanicum doesn't trust the Inquisition. Obviously the soldiers of the mechanicum would never be a significant part of the retinue but could provide some useful skills (not necessarily weapon skills as servitors could easily be the heavy weapons in the retinue).

Most people would also complain if you gave an Inquisitor a retinue of ork mercenaries but that retinue would be better sustained by the lore than the reasons why Catachan is inhabited.

as far as fluff and cannon is concerned you shouldn't let anybody put some restriction on creativity.
the best way to do this is to take care of the surrounding of anything you create for 40k.

Because the real question is not if something is fluffy or not but if there is anything fluffy and cannon that explain and justify a given situation. All you need is to create plausible and smart ties with the fluff to legitimate your creation.
Doing this will de facto lead you to choose a legitimate context, time-line and chain of events that converge toward what you chose.

As far as you don't introduce in 40K something belonging to another creative realm (ewoks, avengers, capt. spok...barbie...) you are free to devise your own vision of 40k.

hopefully you are dealing with Inquisition, the more versatile diverse and exotic of all 40k factions.
The Inquisition as a monolithic organization does not exist, and there's as many inquisition as they are inquisitors.

then, let's not forget that DoW is not to be taken as a reference when fluff is involved.

and to all those who pose themselves as censors of 40k fluff and denies diversity and unthinkable events in a million wolrd wide galxy across 40.000 years of history my answer is :

"go and fluff yourself !"

hope this help.

JL

Trying to turn an Inferno Cannon into an Inferno Pistol? I suppose you are refering to the miniatures, right?
What are trying to make that will yeld some inferno pistols? Some sisters, inquisitors, redemptors?

Description

Warrior Acolytes are the core of any Inquisitorial force. Although many inquisitors will prefer the well trained and equipped stormtroopers, crusaders and any other elite Imperial warriors, loyalty is usually more important than training and combat experience. Obviously many of these loyal warriors the inquisitor surrounds itself with will die in some forsaken world fighting a war that is all around the Imperium and yet most people are unaware of its battles.

In these screenshots you can see some of those warriors that dedicate themselves to the service of the Inquisition, some obviously in the hope they will one day be inquisitors in their own right. Well at least the lightly armoured version of the Warrior Wing although the heavy armour version should be displayed soon.

This division in Wings in terms of both attribute coding and visuals is not like a mark system where picking one would prevent you from recruiting from the other but rather a more open system with obviously some restrictions. This means you can have squads from different Wings but you can't have simultaneously the maximum commander of two different Wings (restricted through cumulative squad cap).

NOTE: all parts used in these concepts were made by either Relic or FoK/PoK, with some of the cut parts (headless bodies, chest armour) coming from RT2.
