Having worked as a farmer and woodcutter for most of my life i became determined to do something that would leave my mark after i was gone. Since then i got back to studies, and i have now a master degree in Electrotecnical Engineering as well as a degree on Electromechanical Engineering. On my free time i like playing and so i became interested in creating my own games or, in the shorter term, modding games to get something closer to what i would like games to be.

So these are not Bodyguard Acolytes, rather are they like the similarity to the elite Space Marine Gladiator command squad? I reckon that they will be a tier II troop deployed either from the Inquisitors tower or the Inquisition Watch building. You could also implement Crusaders too I bet. :)

Warrior acolytes take many forms. These are the heavy ones, likely used by militarist inquisitors that don't like to wait for grey knights to get the job done. Obviously they are not intended to replace GK in any way but rather support the inquisitor in all the situations that require heavily armoured infantry to be used. You can obviously see them as a strong command squad with a varied possible weapon loadout.

The shielded version will likely be a crusader equivalent (similar heavy melee+heavy armour role) since the only thing around that actually looks like the tabletop crusaders are the WH crusaders. So "Shield Acolytes" instead of crusaders for the moment.

Acolytes are versatile soldiers in tabletop and they can be equipped with a varied type of wargear and weapons and if we check the informations related with other inquisition related games set in the 40k universe you will see that acolytes and bodyguards are extremely varied and go much further than what the IDH mod implemented (they did a good job nonetheless), especially considering how the forces following an inquisitor are rarely similar from inquisitor to inquisitor.

Not much done in the meantime despite the addition of temporary texture paths so most parts are team colourable. Still needs texture work to get rid of some black templar symbols and some tweaks on the team colourable parts so the set of objects fits better together since objects used come from a significant number of different models and that means some things don't fit well in terms of colours.

This concept allows Inquisition players to have a set of expensive acolytes protected by power armour and equipped with a great variety of weapons from light to heavy ranged weapons, from chainswords to power fists and hammers, with the melee variant being able to use a shield just like depicted on the concept on the link above. While model wise the several concepts are created with a single model (based on black templars sword brethren), attribute code wise the shielded warriors will be a different squad from the unshielded version.
