Game Review on Nov 8th, 2012

Seems to me just another game deliberately trying to be quirky by having weird, stylized art style and no instructions. Lack of graphics options is annoying, especially lack of resolution select; the background grid has tearing on it at least for me. Solved the first level, saw 2nd level was pretty much the same. Gave up.

Game Review on Sep 7th, 2012 - 1 person agrees 6 people don't

This review is just based on the demo.

I'm sorry but this really feel amateur and awful. The interface is confusing and counter-intuitive. I realize that because of it being a flash game you don't have right mouse button but even so.

At least for me, and just my opinion but I didn't like the graphics and the look of the text. Again, because it's a flash title probably it just looks bad scaled up to full screen.

I did play it for quite a bit, and I am a roguelike developer so I know about gameplay > gfx but my criticisms stand.

I'm very sorry, because I know you must have put hard work into it and I'm not sure I could make something as good myself because I can't draw, but I really didn't like it, although just based on the screenshots I thought it would be good.

Game Review on Jul 24th, 2012

When I saw the hexagons and the graphics I thought this would be a cool roguelike game but unfortunately it's more of an arcadey, real-time game.

This would not be enough to give it a bad review of course, it would just be "not my cup of tea".

Unfortunately the gameplay is really shallow and boring, but worst of all the control and movement system is REALLY um. "not there". It's as if it is an alpha game and no-one has told the developer yet what a bad idea it is. You kind of move around on the hexagons, but you only have up down left right as controls so you're pretty much having to press two buttons down all the time. You get stuck on the "edges" of the hexagons and it's hard to tell whether you will hit a monster with your attack or not, quite often.

My hobby is roguelike development and I see a lot of roguelike games and non-roguelikes too from hobbyist developers and a lot of them are better quality than this, and free. Charging for this game is not right.
