Do I need both New_Game_Version and Base gamedata, or is the base Misery 2?

Yes, anything that can be in the artifact slot (mutant parts, kevlar ext.) is counted as an artifact for stats.

I didn't find it nearly as bad as I remember the good old times when in misery 1 you would walk four steps and be exhausted. Trust me when I say this system has come a long way and is far improved.

Oh, yes I saw that same thing happen in Naf's stream.

I did this with 15 shots with a scoped akm about 4 clips with a modern m1911 and a crappy fort 12 (which surprisingly didn't perform that badly). After I ran out of ammo I made a sprint towards a body and after a few loads I was able to make it back to my hide with an aks-74 with two clips and some more 9x18 for my fort, and after that extra boost of ammo it was smooth sailing.

As long as you stay on the outlying wall, and only move inward when you've wreaked some serious havoc, yes.

The guy you were going to talk to probably just died. This tends to happen quite often if you let them fight without much intervention.

Yes It is a good idea to get the blowout out of the way and try again.

Wow, I didn't expect to see this come up. I have had troubles with my mouse. I was thinking it was going to die on me, but seeing this it could very well could be a bug.
I just replaced the batteries too.

I think I heard a bit back that if you change from maximum to lower settings (not talking about AA or lightning (which might be it)) that you may come across problems. Again I am not certain if this ever was a problem or has any truth to it or not, but it is worth a try.

If most everything is black than you need to add the textures file to the gamedata folder and NOT in the data folder.

I use only manual saves about five or six of them and half of which are messing up now. I even made new save after my recent game, and it would ctd again. I hope that patch will cure at least that.
Although I never did the save and immediately reload like they said to until now when its to late.

Most of the time you can hide in tall grass or behind other concealing objects and make your way fairly close to them, also you can hide behind a wall and they will walk by (If you stay still).

Is it just me or do bullets have travel time now with sniper rifles? Another thing I wanted to point out is the Kar98k (I LOVE it by the way) only shows that he is putting one in the chamber upon reload yet there is a full clip in the rifle. Just a small bug that can be fixed after the main problems are out of the way. When I shot up the mercs at the plant in Zaton I shot a few with the 7.62 ak one to two shots to the head and three or four shots to the body. For heavy armor this seems fair and I ran out of 45 ammo so I had to switch to a fort 12 which I was dreading, but it turned out I needed only four or five shots to the body and two to the head. Again a bug I just thought of the ak 7.62 does less damage than it's 5.45 equivalent (stats) so is this a bug or is it just based on ammo which by the IV armor piercing and damage do not get quite into to the minute details? You guys are doing a great job and I hope after a while these bugs will be a thing of the past and all will basque in the glory that is the MISERY MOD!

I think I bought mine from Baird it looks kind of like what you'd think a 50 caliber rifle would have for a suppressor and it costs 3700 about. You may have to wait before he sells it though. It's also grey and it is hexa hecta or something gonal (multiple sides didn't check it).

Press O for the wind up flashlight(must be equipped), and L for the head lamp which again must be equipped. For the head lamp you'll also need a UDP (buy one at skadovsk) and batteries to go with it, and use them.

I assume you already added the textures to the gamedata folder that is NOT in the data folder(which you downloaded)?

I'm not sure if it matters, but there is a launcher in the data folder stalker-cop.exe try that out.

Extract both files (two parts for me but possibly one for you) using 7zip or WinRAR to your call of pripyat folder.(mine was at computer/local disk (c:)/program files(x86)/bit composer games/S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - call of pripyat (extract here). If you don't see any textures than make sure the texture file you downloaded was put in the gamedata file (NOT the one in the data file). Now in the DATA folder there is a launcher that you can right click and add to taskbar. After that right click and press properties go to the compatibility page, and press RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. Everything should work after these steps good hunting. Oh and if you haven't modded a game before at the S.t.a.l.k.e.r. - call of pripyat folder there is a file called fsgame.ltx you will need to right click/properties/security/edit/ give your account full control and save. When clicking on the fsgame.ltx it will ask you how you want to open it. You need to use notepad , and after your in make $game_data$ = false| true|$fs_root$|gamedata\ make it true true and save.

Yes I know about the fire modes I just wanted to know if it could increase penetration or if it would be time consuming/ too hard to replicate

Ghostman557 - - 39 comments @ MISERY

It all depends on what type of protection their helmet provides if they have no armor they should die to one shot, but if they have an armor level IV they should take a probably two or three if using a round with less penetrating capabilities. Oh and a bug (I think) shouldn't the 45 hollow point be less penetrative than a steel core? Anyway if your ammo rating exceeds their armor they should die, but I think even that is not always working correctly and they need time to patch.

I'm not sure how hard it would be but the an-94 shoots in a two shot burst that pierces armor and in the description of the gsh-18 it says that it's standard round can penetrate just about any armor let alone adding a +p round to this mix can this be changed or is it impossible for the engine to mimic. I can also understand if it was too time consuming to produce especially with all you have on your plate now.

You need to press O (artifact detector button) and have the wind up flashlight equipped. The lamp on the other hand is used with L and needs to be equipped, have batteries (that need to be used) and a UDP that is sold by Baird or the other trader at the Skadovsk (which I personally have yet to find).

I have to say i'm loving this mod. New weapon profiles, tons of new items to use this has turned into a very large expansion, and I've only stayed in the first area so even though I've been on most of the day lol. There are plenty of fresh stashes around with just enough loot to not disturb the economy in most cases it's underwhelming (which is very good for the zone being the desolate place that it is). I love the new graphics redesigned to perfection. On to the inevitable bug fixes and personal distastes there is the custom stashes that I tried to put on the crane and it just dropped right through. I was able to successfully place one on the top of a ship however, and it seems safe from swift hands (hopefully). I'm not a fan of the force fields around stalkers as it would be hard to use knives this way especially if they are armed to the teeth. Now on to CTDs I have encountered two both of which after many hours of playtime. One was in the large ship you attack, I came back after the mission was completed and tried to kill the stalkers there and ended up with ctds about every third time I tried to fight them. The second place is the next mission where I get shot at yet again. I'm not sue if it is due to heavy firefights or dying which I know I had ctds at least a few times after death. All in all this is a great mod that need just one or two more patches to equal perfection. Oh and I almost forgot some stalkers in the Skadovsk tend to run in place with their weapons out when enemies are near.

I was at the garbarge and loaded up a save while I was at somewhere between 50-59kg but once I had loaded up it said I had 74kg with the same exact loadout do you know why this would happen? Thanks for the previous explanation as well.
