BTW: it would interest me if it can be played Single-PLayer, too? Will the other characters be taken over by an AI like in L4D? And if not, can the puzzles only be solved in teamwork with other players, wich would make playing alone impossible?
I dont have to be exactly like the movie, like Devotus said there must be some changes to provide good gameplay.
The flares could work in different ways: Either throwing them somewhere and the T-Rex checks it out or you will have to throw it directly into the face of the T-Rex, causing it to stop for a while in distraction of the shining object, giving you a few seconds to run away.
Another about the T-Rex-thing: to ease fleeing from it, maybe you could distract it with flares? That would make sense gameplay-wise and would feel like the movie. I dont know if that would be too hard to manage with the AI though.
Sounds fine to me! But the kid-vanish-thing, at least let them vanish after you left the room where you lead them to, not in front of your eyes, should be an easy-one to script. But thats a good idea!
What do you mean with unrealistic contents like rings? Some collectibles scattered all around? That wouldnt be necessary in my opinion.
Another question: Will there be the waterfall with the helipad in the mod? Would be a cool ending being rescued by the InGen-Helicopter at the end, and maybe have a last encounter with the T-Rex while driving with the jeep to that rescue point!
Oh, and can the T-Rex be killed ingame? Or will you definetly have to run from it when it appears? Would be good. I would suggest that it only can be killed or at least put to sleep with a special tranqulizer gun, found in the emergency bunker due one of the last objectives of the mission (maybe finding the key to a locked firearm locker or just enter the emergency bunker), and the last objective would be to take out the T-Rex near the helipad mentioned above with it, wich accomplishment would also be the trigger for the helicopter to arrive! Also I'm thinking of a small outro-sequenz seeing the helicopter flying over the ocean towards sunset after rescued, while seeing your credits, you know like the last scene in the movie? Shouldnt be hard to make.

No, please! That would be so out of the movie! Some reminiscences on the novel are ok, but let the major thing be as close to the movie as possible (dont gameplay- but leveldesign-wise)! 90% of the Jurassic Park-fans love the movie and not the book!
I'm pretty sure by now that he planned to hype his **** to get as many fanboys as possible to donate, while his PC had no problem at all! That was just a trick to cash some money and then throw this piece of **** out and laugh at all the dumbasses who give away their money just like that!
I've got a question! What about the ammunition?
Will there be enough to shoot everything or will there be rare supplies, so you've got to save ammunition and only use it in critical situations, wich will force you to flee or hide from dinosaurs, sneak past to them and shut or maybe even barricade doors (cause raptors can open them) with things to be safe for now!
That would be an awesome Survival-Feeling wich would transport the feeling of the movie much better than shooting the hell out of the dinosaurs.
That would mean you would play against humans and/or dinsoaurs, wich would be of course crap! Crysis Multiplayer IS crap btw! But that shouldnt effect the quality of this mod of course :)!
And yeah, I'd love to see a Dilophosaurus model, too! Maybe you guys can post some pics?

I think the area isnt the one of the actual mod, just some random map from crysis just to show the models!
I hope this is not the actual area the Visitors center stands in the mod, cause it does not look like in the movie (rock in the background, no lake in front of it, and the street should go horizontal), but I'm sure youm know that so nevermind :)
Dont do it, this mod should stick as close as possible on the FIRST movie, the sequels werent so good, and the third movie is very dissappointing in my opinion! The T-Rex should stay on top of the food-chain where it belongs :)!

Sorry guys, but I really dont get what the big deal about this mod is? Maybe the developer has connections to some online-magazines or knows how to hype the mod, cause this mod is really just mediocre!
Mapping IS awful, and he just copied the whole concept of Dear Esther and added some unnecessary and weak puzzles and werent able to get some good voice acting.
Besides, I really think this whole post-apocalyptic setting is just stale as hell! I dont know how often I've been to abandoned dark towns and bunkers and sewers with the same ol HL2-Assets!!! Story is the same cliché post-apocalyptic stuff, triing to be as sophisticated as his great idol DE, of course failing at that! Thats not artful or original folks!!!

I wanted to try it out cause I also love artful game-experiments!
But as projektariel I'm not able to run it. I have Version 2.1 of UT3 on STEAM. Maybe there are problems with the Steam-Version? I did what was mentioned in the Instructions-file but when I click on any of the .bat files, a black command-window appears, then the Steam-Window saying UT3 is launching and then nothing happens.
Is there any way to launch it with the Steam-version at all?
