I am always looking to meet new people who are serious about games development.
Some solid work you did there, very well composed. Your music really seems to set a definitive mood.
A potato, that is hilarious. Best response ever to a noob trying to sell his Dota2 keys.
I second that :-D
Nice work on the Youtube videos. The 10 second intro you made is top quality.
I have not played this game in so long, glad to see its still being actively developed.
I will have to give it a download and check out the new updates.
Great job on the presentation and explanation.
Straight to the point, easy to understand, and only the information needed to understand the design. No text just to have text.
The great news just keeps coming and coming today. Towns is a great game and well worth the money.
Taking a small collection of villagers and organising them in to what will become a living world, each with their own personality is so much fun. Seeming them grow from simple farmers to the strongest army my fictional world has ever seen is just an amazing site to see. This is what The Sims should have been.
Also this is one of the few games I can play and code at the same time. I set everything up just he way I need it, set it to full speed and come back a few hours later to see what my followers have created.
This is a recommended buy from me, also extra points for Linux support.
This is great news. I am always looking for new things to put on a RasPi.
I thought it was funny as hell, also i'm a dork whats wrong with that.
NerdCore all the way.
Gaming Ain't No Game: Youtube.com
DAM! That looks cool.
I second Mechs.
Nice job guys, i will be tracking this one.
Haha epic video, listening to these two guys talk and play is great.
Win, Mac, and Linux support. :-D
Nice work mate, doing this all by yourself as well is very impressive.
Also extra points for using opensource tools, GIMP and Blender. You have my vote. Community developed all the way. :-D
From what I have seen so far the Mod kit looks great. Mods really add replay value to a game, but also for me at lest allows me to get sucked deeper in to the game universe.
Still not 100% sure on a web based mod system. But it would allow for making and sharing content with the community more convenient. Either way this game has great potential.
I am voting indie all the way here. Dont get me wrong there are some great AAA titles these days and i like playing them.
But it just seems as though the market is filled with the same core game mechanics. Developers swap out the models and textures and call it a new game.
Indie on the other hand, there is always something new around the corner, a risky mechanic that just makes the game so enjoyable. I play a lot of game, i want to be surprised and challenged in new ways.
What do you guys think? What do you want to see in games?
Nice work on the pixel art.
Dam that is impressive, the art really sets the mood and brings the characters to life.
Gourand and warp and my favs. The reason for this is because of the shadows and the contrast between light and dark areas.
Some interesting ideas in there Ben.
Its funny you should mention Ammo rack explosions, as we do have something in the works. If you can penetrate the thick armour (50cal?) and get the bullet to bounce around inside the tank you could kill the whole crew in one huge inferno blast. A grenade down one of the hatches would also work just as well.
Thank you for the feedback.
Yes the plan is to release a playable beta to the community.
What areas of tank combat would you like to be able to take control of and see in our game?
Great game, lots of fun, and an interesting twist on some of the more mundane mechanics to often over used in this genre.
Also top marks to the developers for not making this game Pay2Win.
Thanks a lot, looks a very interesting game.
I am tracking this one.
Very nice work guys, I will be tracking this one.
Open Source as well, I tip my hat to you :-D.
Clearly you guys are truly indie developers, we need more people like you in the community.
A very good question. We do not want to release to much just yet and spoil the anticipation.
The core mechanics for the game are nearly complete, I am proof reading through the document now before sending it off to the rest of the team.
However the plan is to release these core mechanics ("what to expect ingame") in small chucks once a week.
We are taking a big risk with our interpretation of what we think an FPS should be about. But if this works we are fundamentally reinventing the FPS genre.
Its no longer about solo offensive kill-streaks. Its about controlling regions and supply lines. Getting 10,000 kills will not win you the game. If you fail to work as a team, fail to capture regions of the map, or let your supply lines fall into enemy hands, you will run out of ammo, food, medical supplies (“War Supplies”) quick enough and get overrun by enemy forces.
Thanks, when people track the project it pushes our rank up :-D.
Feel free guys to post your questions and ideas here. The team normally monitors the IndieDB page whilst we are working on new content for the game.
Heads up we will be posting some concept art later today, with some of the vehicles that we are designing.
