Is this still a Half-life 1 mod?
Can you please port HL2 to Alien Swarm Engine? You shall win the internets.
This is simply amazing mapping. Brilliant atmosphere.
Judging from the mapping, this mod is going to kick so much ***!
Obviously the water needs to be fixed so we can't see where the grass just ends. But this could turn out to be a very interesting area. I'm...intrigued
Very nice! Doesn't sound like you tried to rip of the portal soundtracks, yet feels just like a portal song.
looking very nice
****-tits, this looks good!
what are they? other than looking really nice ;)
^ Thats not what irony is.
Map need some better lighting, but apart from that it looks awesome!
Apart from the flat wall texture on the left and the tree models, this looks nothing like Source. But it does look amazing. Great work!
This is looking good. The biggest thing that needs fixing is the logo. It looks very amateur.
I agree with cybertrance
looks great except for that concrete thing. It just looks a bit out of place
the atmosphere here is brilliant
great work :)
Looks amazing; BUT! Do you think there is anything that can be done about the metal textures? They repeat horribly and also look a bit too 2D, making the building look like it's made out of cardboard. Aside from that, this is fantastic mapping.
Im really looking forward to this...
voted for this in MOTY :)
amazing. some of the best mapping i've seen on source
menu is perfect :)
I'd be more than happy to beta test :)
This is looking amazing. Top job guys!
This looks amazing. Great job Eagle :)
WOW! That building is a HUGE improvement over the standard HL2 flat walls, so GREAT JOB! Atmosphere looks nice, looks like this mod is coming along very nicely. :)
reload is way to slow. Looking good though :)
Skybox is amazing, HUD is great!
Cannot wait for this :)
This might just be me, but I ******* hate the portal gun idle animation. Why change it? Other than that, the mapping looks great :)
Looks awesome man :D
looks really good...will it be in mod?
Logic Pro 9 with various plugins :)
1) Yeah, change the color so it doesn't look like a lightbridge
2) I really don't like the new portal gun idle animation. It just feels awkward and unnecessary.
Was this decision made completely independently of the teams behind Guard Duty and Operation Black Mesa combining into one team, sharing assets and gameplay? Good idea though.
Why would people thumbs down this comment?
I am a huge Valve fan and love every one of their games, but it is true that the Source Engine has some short comings. This is because Valve makes Source do what they need it to do. They've never made an open world RPG, so the engine, understandably, isn't very good at that sort of thing. I believe that (as long as it doesn't mean recreating all the assets) the switch to the Cryengine will be a worthwhile move for the team. I wish them the best of success.
Looking nice good, but FIX THOSE DAMN GRASS SPRITES
dat **** cray
Can you make the stairs rougher around the edges? They look too sharp.
Creepy but awesome at the same time. Keep it!
Very good, but I had to turn my monitor's brightness all the way up to be able to see anything. If people are playing on dull monitors, or there is a glare from the sun on their screen, they aren't going to be able to see anything. But other than that, the detail here is great.
Nice puzzle. Bit easy though. And I was expecting something to happen at the end, but it just faded to black and then I was sad. You should put some cinematic sequence there.
To me, this is on par with nearly all AAA games released today. The only big improvement which could be made would be some ambient occlusion on the ground texture (as shown in the mod 'City 17') to make it look less flat. Other than that, brilliant work, and without a doubt some of the best mapping I've seen on Source (Valve included).
Great job guys
if only those windows were 3d, and not just textures...
Other than that wall on the left, this looks incredible!
These all look sublime. Great work here.
Looks amazing. I've been waiting for a fresh Portal adventure :)
This looks incredible. Love the subtle lens flare too.
This is amazing. Will this map be released as part of any upcoming mod?
This sounds so awesome. I really hope this project pulls through, but finish Chernobryl first! :)
Music should start once player goes outside.
Other than that, looking good!
Great work guys. This is looking really awesome!
This is amazing. Really captures the feeling of cold and ice. Great job!
i am looking forward to this a lot :D
Wow this mod just came out from nowhere, but these are some of the nicest screenshots i've seen in source! This could almost be fallout 3
very good lighting
the ground texture on the left repeats too much
animations and models are great, but the HUD needs some work
whats the song? it fits the tone of the mod beautifully
My favorite screenshot of the mod so far because there is an actual sense of lighting. A lot of the other screenshots could almost be fullbright. Try getting some more contrast with the lighting to make it look nicer and more realistic.
I think it would be cool if, instead of posting all these SOT manuals here, you collect them ingame. Kinda like character bios in the batman games. I might be wrong, but I don't think many people are reading all of these. It's just a lot of text and it seems quite overwhelming, especially when you release 10 at the same time. If you collected them ingame, and then could view them in some kind of virtual binder-book, I think people would find them much more interesting. Just a thought...
i dunno, fire still looks a bit strange...for the gascans could you do something more like l4d2s molotove effect? that was really good
this looks awesome
this is looking really nice
can't wait to kill some zombies here
some parallax mapping would be awesome here...
im not sure if its just me but the fire looks a bit odd...
im liking this a lot
voice acting is terrible
this is perfect
cannot wait for this to be released
for a second i though it was source and i was like *WOAH*
then i read the description :)
might want to do something about those repeating textures
looking good other than that
holy **** thats one of the nicest screenies i've seen in source!
nice work :)
I really liked it.
The build up is really atmespheric and the suspence is great, but I was expecting a big climax at the end and it never really happend...
Intressting idead, but this model looks really out of place.
It looks like it should be in a lab somewhere...not outside.
