Looks amazing; BUT! Do you think there is anything that can be done about the metal textures? They repeat horribly and also look a bit too 2D, making the building look like it's made out of cardboard. Aside from that, this is fantastic mapping.

I am a huge Valve fan and love every one of their games, but it is true that the Source Engine has some short comings. This is because Valve makes Source do what they need it to do. They've never made an open world RPG, so the engine, understandably, isn't very good at that sort of thing. I believe that (as long as it doesn't mean recreating all the assets) the switch to the Cryengine will be a worthwhile move for the team. I wish them the best of success.

Very good, but I had to turn my monitor's brightness all the way up to be able to see anything. If people are playing on dull monitors, or there is a glare from the sun on their screen, they aren't going to be able to see anything. But other than that, the detail here is great.

To me, this is on par with nearly all AAA games released today. The only big improvement which could be made would be some ambient occlusion on the ground texture (as shown in the mod 'City 17') to make it look less flat. Other than that, brilliant work, and without a doubt some of the best mapping I've seen on Source (Valve included).

My favorite screenshot of the mod so far because there is an actual sense of lighting. A lot of the other screenshots could almost be fullbright. Try getting some more contrast with the lighting to make it look nicer and more realistic.

I think it would be cool if, instead of posting all these SOT manuals here, you collect them ingame. Kinda like character bios in the batman games. I might be wrong, but I don't think many people are reading all of these. It's just a lot of text and it seems quite overwhelming, especially when you release 10 at the same time. If you collected them ingame, and then could view them in some kind of virtual binder-book, I think people would find them much more interesting. Just a thought...
