Enough of that, sorry. Well, I'm a gamer. Heck no, I don't play CoD. I prefer traditional style FPS games. Half-Life? TFC? TRON 2.0? Metroid Prime? Okay, Metroid Prime isn't traditional, fine. It's still fun, though. I'm a teenager, age fourteen. I think I spend more time mapping and coding for games than I do playing them, though. Some of my friends think I'm weird for that, but hey. I started using computers when I was two. I have the computer that I used back then, too. I don't use it, but it's a 731 MHz Pentium III Intel Desktop Board with (whoa) AGP graphics...wowee. It ran Windows XP RTM just fine, service pack 1 as well, but service pack 2 and 3 caused some interesting and colorful things to appear onscreen. BSoD. BSoD again. BSoD...but this time the text is black?! What the crap?!?! Oh yeah, I play TFC on a $1,400 laptop. Don't judge me.

DragonBall Source

Mod review

Seriously the most complete mod since Garry's Mod and before Black Mesa.
This mod's death really makes me sad. It could have been something great.

Star Wars: Republic Commando

Game review

Amazing game. It's not your everyday first person shooter. There are some interesting things about it, like being able to assign people to do specific things and not just tell them who to kill or where to go.

Would be 10/10, but it's pretty much like every other older LucasArts game in that it is one of the most unstable games I have installed on my computer.

Ricochet

Game review

Bored? Well, unpack your old copy of Counter-Strike from Half-Life: Platinum and install this mod. It may seem stupid, but it is quite fun even with just four players. There was a Source engine version someone made, but it doesn't work anymore. Sad.

FakeFactory Cinematic Mod

Mod review

EDIT: Let me clarify, this is a GOOD REVIEW. Don't take the thing at the beginning as a bad review!

Essentially...
"DUDE THIS MOD IS TERRIBLE EVERYTHING LOOKS DIFFERENT AND STUFF!!!!!!!!!! THE WHOLE REASON IT IS SO BAD IS THAT IT IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!"
Basically, that's what all the idiots who think they rule the Internet are saying. Every SINGLE reason that a bunch of people hate it are the reasons that I love it. Just go read some of the 1/10 reviews and you'll see what I mean. Just PLEASE, the Internet has enough people flaming about how stupid and terrible things are, just like the news channel. We don't need ANY MORE of this stuff, so just stop. Also, someone seems to think that changing the game's maps to make it look better has nothing to do with "remaking HL2 with new graphics." I'm not going to tell you who, but their username initials are MF. So please, if you think the mod looks nice, clear out a nice 45 GB space on your hard disk for it, and hit download.

Sven Co-op

Mod review

When I first downloaded this mod four years ago, I thought it was just going to be Synergy for HL1. I was WROOOONG with four Os. It's better. Custom models, custom sounds, custom gameplay style, in-game map selection system, and the full Half-Life campaign. I only had one word to describe it as: wow. They must have worked hard. All it needs now is Blue Shift campaign. This is the only way I ever play HL1 anymore. With friends. (And BM:S, but that's not the point. xD) If there was a console version of this with Xbox Live and PSN and stuff, I'm pretty sure it would sell a lot. This is a great mod. Combine it with other HL1 mods' maps and it's even better.

Can't wait to see this on steam.
(Sorry my review was a short book. LOL)

EDIT: Just now noticed that it HAS Blue Shift in it now...LOL

Fortress Forever

Mod review

This thing is amazing. It's basically a Team Fortress ripoff (for lack of a better term, don't take that badly) with a TFC gameplay style and most TF2 gameplay elements. This mod really needs more attention. It does have a few odd bugs here and there, (one of which is that version 2.46 is saying that version 2.46 is old and you need to update to 2.46) but it's really fun. And not full of noobs. It's mostly TFC pros that play this game, it seems.

(technical stuff)
I should also mention that it is a huge joy to map for. If you can map for Quake, Half-Life, or Half-Life 2, and you can code at least a little bit for Garry's Mod, you'll have a map done in no time. You have complete control over EVERYTHING when you make a map. Everything is done in Lua for the most part. All you do in Hammer is standard map work. No crazy entity setups like in TFC. I tried to make a TFC map and failed miserably from absolutely insane entity setups. All you have to do is lay out the entities, then you open up Notepad++ (or your preferred Lua editor) and make a script for your map. From the script, you define what things should do what. Then, you give each function in the script a valid Hammer targetname. From there, you just give the entites in Hammer said targetname and BOOM. No info_tfgoal this, no i_t_g that, and no "Can't find tfgoal with id 4." Everything is either a trigger_ff_script or an info_ff_script that is controlled from Lua. I've made one map, and I enjoyed all but about five minutes of it. Those five minutes were Hammer 4's fault, by the way. I tried to resize an overlay and, instead, I managed to cause a stack overflow somehow. Well, thanks left hand for pushing function instead of control, I really love having not saved for five minutes and then losing everything.

This is great! I'm already having fun, and I've only played it a few minutes!
