Wow I'm really impressed by the design you chose, gj guys looks like this will be a good game.

All honestly I can see what you mean by the late joiners and I understand, but I think in the long run we would have to drop the SAO name anyways thus making us not SAO but a game similar and I would think a system where once you clear a boss once you are past it would be a much better system.(But I'd assume you would not be able fight them multiple times) Also keep in mind there could be a possibility of speed servers where the people who sign up are the only people who can play and you have faster exp(etc) enabling you to be the game faster etc. There could be multiple approaches towards this game, so don't shoot down the idea so fast.
