Great work! Looking forward to the changes :)
As a question, do you think the leaning feature from forgotten hope could make its way into PR? That would make a really meaningful change to the gameplay!

the little details really add up to make a big difference, awesome stuff!
great work!
Would be cool if you could post some videos, especially of the new features, e.g. rotary wing combat and tunnels!
Screenshots are good but a quick video of a specific feature would be great to see too.
Have you thought of taking the assets and just putting it into Godot or Unity, then you have real control over the project and can grow something unique that could even turn into a commercial venture
Congrats on taking the first (and hardest) step of becoming an indie game dev! Best of luck on your adventure ahead :) It also would be worth starting a page on IndieDB, ModDBs sister site:
Awesome stuff, love that thought is being put into new mechanics and not just throwing some random models and cool effects!
Love the write-up, particularly the homages to different architecture and the reasons behind it!
I've never played a duke nukem but this was a cool read; keep up the great artistry Ledsbourne :)
This is some fantastic work, well written and entertaining explanation, and the changes you made are salient and well throught through whilst also being crafted beautifully in mechanics and the visuals.
Great job, easily one of the most promising mods on moddb!
Do you guys cooperate with the FH2 team, or do you tend to do all the modelling and mapping from scratch?
Also, on a related note, would we see the multiplayer compatible leaning mechanics the FH2 team developed come over to PR?
Great update! Just a note, some of the spoiler sections in this post are missing content though :(
Also hope you guys implement that leaning mechanic that has come out of the FH2 team in the last few days!
Fantastic work! Did developing this open any avenues for further features down the track?
You should attempt to use version control to save your work.
So many modders end up losing data due to tempramental game engines with their unique file types, or due to their own PC. So many mods I have seen fail because of data loss and modders giving up due to months (or years) of lost work. It's so painful to watch, you are all essentially doing software development without any of the safeguards software devs use (and for no reason!).
It takes an afternoon to learn to use version control, and it saves you months and becomes a skill you keep forever.
This is github, it is free to use: Github.com
Here is a simple explainer and guide: Webtuu.com
Take an afternoon and learn it, and you won't lose data again. Don't use it and I gurantee you will lose more work in the future, 100%.

Nice work! Glad to see some well thought out asymetrical balance :)
Fantastic work LordofTadhg, you're work is a credit to the community! Looking forward to giving this a shot :)
How come a chin gun instead of the standard gunpod?
I am loving the care and research going into the gameplay design decisions, as well as the balance between accurate models and models that fit into the generals aesthetic.
You are doing a great job, keep it up!
Nice work! Though it'd be cool to see a screenshot of some of the new assets in-game!
This is exactly what we need, the models fit close enough to the main game and you can crank out things fairly quickly with enough releases regularly to keep people interested! Nice work :) It's always better to release something and improve on it later, so great to see this happening here!
This was the first time I have seen generals code/script, it would be super interesting to see more! Both out of curiosity as a player and as a SWE :)
You're amazing work. If this eventual community can slot in and work with existing modifications (e.g. RoR or CWC) it would be the biggest gift the community has gotten in a long time.
Would a "free" selectable choice of four in the generals tree enable this?
4, but is it possible to alter depending on the map? I think I saw that in a mod somewhere..
Would be awesome to see more contemporary weapon systems and aircraft like this
What an awesome design, great work Alexei! Would be cool to see a gif of it launching!!
Looks incredible, if this is imposed as part of the map as opposed to being a custom colour then this is awesome
Wouldn't Call to Arms be a better fit for this project?
So you lost files just like so many other mods, even today (https://www.moddb.com/mods/generals-return/downloads/return-installer/#7714505).
If you guys spend so much time on this why don't you make a backup? It's simple and free yet no one does it and they lose all their work... It happens so often in so many projects I am beginning to wonder what is wrong with people, do they not respect their own work?
Google drive (free) has a 750gb file limit, and physical hard drives cost almost nothing.

Well hello! Thanks for taking the time to view this, either you are interested in what I do or you are really bored. I have messed around in editors in many engines. I hope you will try some of my future, upcoming and released maps and give some feedback as to what I can change as every persons input is important to me. Feedback is appreciated both good and bad, feel free to message me.
