Prologue

Announcer: Attention all prisoners. Stand in the line to get your lunch.

Prisoner: So, why are you here?

The Man didn't say a word.

Prisoner: I'm here because I'm a murderer. Now, if you don't want to end up with a fork in your right eye, tell me why the hell you're here!

The Man looked straight in the prisoner's eyes and said "You'd better mind your own damn business!"

The Murderer: Or...

The Man: Or I'll pull out the fork from my right eye and poke both of your eyes with it.

The Murderer: Who the hell are you?

The Man: Your worst nightmare! Now step forward, get your lunch, then get out of my sight!

The Murderer got his lunch and sat at his usual table, by the wall. The Man got his lunch and sat at a table alone. He scrapped the plastic cover and started eating. "Damn! The food is getting worse by the minute..." He said in a low tone.

The Murderer started walking towards The Man's table. The Man looked him by the corner of his eye. The Murderer got closer and raised his fork to stab The Man. The Man blocked himself with his left hand. The fork was stuck in his arm. The Man pulled out the fork and went for the eye.

He then started eating his lunch in a hurry. A few seconds later, the guards came in and knocked The Man unconscious.

A hollow voice could be heard. The voice became clearer as The Man slowly gained his consciousness...

Stranger: You, Major, are a hard man to find, I'll give you that.

Major: Who the hell are you?

Stranger: The key to your freedom. Let me cut the crap and get straight to the point...

Major: Go on...

Stranger: I'm with the USS.

Major: I'm DONE with the USS!

Stranger: As you wish. Guards, you know what to do.

Major: Wait, wait, wait... I'm listening.

Stranger: We have a mission for you. Nobody in the USS has the courage to accept it.

Major: I've already been in Suicide missions.

Stranger: This isn't a suicide mission, Major.

Major: Ex-Major...

Stranger: If you accept this mission, the USS may arrange your freedom.

Major: Doesn't sound like the USS...

Stranger: We have to transport you to the Exclusion Zone.

The smile slowly faded from the Major's face... "The Exclusion Zone? Are you kidding me? What the hell!" Shouted Major.

Stranger: This is why nobody accepted this mission. They almost wet their underwears after hearing the Exclusion Zone part... Your time to decide is extremely limited. You have five minutes, ex-Major...

After a few minutes...

Stranger: You have ten seconds left.

Major: Shut the hell up! ... Fine, I'll accept the mission. Happy now?

Stranger: What the Zone does to a man... I don't want that even for my sworn enemies...

Major: That's very noble of you, I guess. Okay I'm ready. Let's get out of this hellhole!

Guards came in and covered Major's eyes with a black band.

Misery 2.1.1

ElCaz4dor Blog

So, I was able to finish the game for the first time. Such unique experience. The Creators did one hell of a job, to create so much awesomeness. From the massive additions to the small tweaks...

I'm going for the next playthrough, while waiting for Misery 2.2/Fallout 4.

The sound FX was amazing. Gameplay was top notch. The added mechanisms such as battery consumption were beyond compare.

The flaw was that running this game, requires more Specs than the Vanilla version, but to a good cause. The textures are so cool.

Also, some dialogues didn't make sense.

I loved and will always love this game...

It's all about Misery, and I love it.

Stalker Misery - Hunting Instructions: Entry No.2

Dogs

Agile and vicious predators of the zone. They hunt in a pack and will bark while chasing their prey. If you hear a barking, take out your gun, if it's night, turn on your night vision and start looking around you.

The dogs aren't that much of a problem when there is one. The problem gets real when there is a pack of ten or twelve of them. They jump to their target so if you choose to run when already engaged, your escape won't go well, unless you use the environment to your advantage.

Dogs won't do much damage bur when there's a pack, the chances that you'll get hit more than once, increase dramatically. A shotgun which holds less than 5 shells, is not going to help you against a pack of twelve dogs. Unlike Cats, their strategy of attacking is hit-and-run. They will approach you in a straight line but will suddenly change their direction when they get too close.

To hunt some dogs, just load a Spas-12 or a Saiga with buckshots and go out in the wilds.

Recommended weapons: A shotgun (with high ammo capacity, loaded with Buckshots) - Fast firing SMGs (loaded with high tissue damaging ammo)

Pseudodogs (Fake Dogs)

More agile and vicious than standard dogs. Pseudodogs have a pair of glowing eyes, so if you see some glowing dots approaching, you've got yourself some Pdogs.

They are fast runners and cunning; they don't follow the same pattern twice. Sometimes, they come and attack straight with suicidal behaviour (Like their rivals, cats), sometimes, they try to avoid getting hurt by jumping left or right mid-attack. If you decided to run, instead of hunting them, remember, it is really difficult to outrun them, and they can jump on rocks.

Their hide is not strong enough to stop any ammo with more than I armour-piercing capability. Buckshot is your best bet when dealing with them.

I advice against hunting a pack more than four Pdogs, as their bites are nasty and cause heavy damage and bleeding.

Recommended weapons: A shotgun (high rate of fire, loaded with Buckshots) - Carbines (loaded with 5.56mm NATO rounds)

Cats

The shadow itself. They hide in the shadows, stalk like the shadow and hunt like the shadow. They are silent, you can't hear one approaching unless it's ready to strike. Its strike does moderate damage and bleeding, but what makes them dangerous is that it can strike two times before you can turn around and say hi. If the two strikes didn't kill you outright, the bleeding will. The strikes also slow you down, so running is not recommended unless your stamina regenerates really fast.

However, they have suicidal behaviours when going in for the kill: They charge in a straight line and will never back down when they reach their target. This means if you allow them to reach you, you're as good as dead. If you see one coming, jump on the closest rock, they can't jump. Then load your gun with some high tissue damaging ammo and get on the ground. When approaching, aim at a point that you're sure it will pass that point (This point is on the line it's approaching you in.) and shoot to kill.

Recommended weapons: Any shotgun (loaded with Buckshots) - Fast firing SMGs (loaded with high tissue damaging ammo.)

Fleshes

They are the least dangerous mutants, but that doesn't mean they are nothing of a threat. They won't attack unless there are three or more of them. These fleshes are slow and their claw attack doesn't do much damage. If there are three of them, kill one and watch the other two scatter. A shotgun is a reliable choice but even a pistol with high tissue damaging ammo will suffice. Using weapons with expensive ammunition is a waste of money. They are easy preys and might attract unexpected trouble.

Recommended weapons: Any weapon (loaded with high tissue damaging ammo)
