Of course deleting it wasn't necessary as other people came along and fixed it, and now it's hard to find or we need to resort to suspicious third party links.
Just wanted to say thanks, and that you did a phenomenal job on CSS SCI FI. It's inspired me and my buddy (Happy Cat) numerous times and we're both huge fans.
I realize SMOD is quite dead these days, but you brought a huge breathe of fresh air into it that I really appreciated back then. :) Do you have any future projects planned as far as game design in general goes?
Thanks very much for this. I have seen the things you and Happy Cat came up with over the last year and can likewise say I've been impressed with your scripting - very tidy! There are things in there I never imagined could work. It's enough to make me want to release a bonus map pack to try out the things that didn't work the first time around.
But time is always an issue, and the current release (and all the subsequent patches) have consumed a great deal of that over the past couple years. There are some ideas rattling around for an original, large outdoor mod, but it's impossible to say at this point whether they'll ever see daylight.
Heh, I must immediately say that I had very little to do with the physical development of the library other than feedback, testing, and requesting some features. Saying that it's "ours" is really quite a disservice to his phenomenal work. :)
Though, it is planned to be used as a huge feature and design tool for a mod that's not quite tangible yet. What I meant for myself was that you've inspired me in numerous ways that I haven't quite yet articulated. I have enough faith in SMOD (despite it's tumultuous tendencies) that I feel comfortable finally bringing a vision of mine to life. And of course, I'm sure Happy Cat will be with me most, if not all of the way. :)
As for the future, it's always an unknown. Either way, I wish the best of luck to you in any future hobby or professional projects, whatever they may be. If you have time when our project has some tangible substance, I'd definitely like to see what you think.
If CSS SciFi 3 became its own standalone thing, I would definitely pay for it.

Hey why did you delete CSS SCI FI?
Steam pipe broke it...

The fixes are pretty shaky and unstable.
IKR.
Really foolish of him to take it down especially since we have SMOD Standalone now.
No offense fitz.
