Misery makes stalker exactly what I wanted it to be, but it's bogged down by some bad decisions.
For example:
You can only run for like 5 seconds.

Weapons sell for too little and cost too much to repair.

In the final part of the game I kept running out of ammo since there were so many enemies and the supplier guy only gives you ammo occasionally.
This may have been a problem in the base game. I never got that far.

Luckily you can fix a lot of the problems(like the weapon sell price and stamina being so low)by editing a couple text files.

The RTS with by far the most mods and custom maps, most of which are not on moddb. The vanilla campaigns are above average, on account of having a relatively good story, and RPG elements making it more interesting. The rexxar campaign being the stand out. I didn't care for the vanilla multiplayer, though.

The best C&C style RTS.
