Actually the kind of glass used for chemical instruments, is quite different, is not the common one you'll find in a window or a bottle of wine.
It is made to have nearly no reflection, being the reason of it nearly nonexistent thickness, so you can see the measures in the glass and know how much of what you have in there. The reflections is just like the one in this render.

I think the edge flow of the model is... quite stress up to say the least. Yet, he does that chin 'cause he's into moe or something like that.
Actually, the modding WILL enhance the market system. If players can sell their own items they created, and I'm talking about skins, character customization will made this way better. Check YMVU, users can mod and create their own items, same in Second Life.
Pirating is the way some people will say: "You know what Blizzard? Playing your game without the item market and no modding won't make it less fun, or will it? Probably yes, because Blizzard wants to take the same formula of WoW into this game.
They're after the money, which is good, but it would be better to let the players enjoy themselves a lot more. Just take a look at Morrowind, modding did not only enhanced graphically that game, it kept it alive and with more content than Oblivion and Fallout 3/New Vegas altogether. Starcraft 2, was boring as hell, there's nothing ******* new on the game and the story is terribly predictable and the world editor is just lame.
Gamers want to have fun, not obey the Big Brother... for that just go buy something from Mac.
This game along with SC2 and WoW made officially stop buying anything from Blizzard, have fun in your one-game-per-year developing ala call of duty.

I see humans weilding that, not Elfs, the elven craftsmanship is much more delicated, less wider and thiner, to match their pshysical embodiment. Nice model, the runes should be toned down tho' they don't look that crafted into the sword. You should try a black tune with bevel in photoshop for those and in the emission channel make it yellow, so the light in the carves would glow yellow as you probably wanted.
It's nice, but it could use some refinements.

Nice, really nice, but I think the door is way to thick. the camera angle is not that good either, the sccene doesn't look bad, some lighting is missing in the interior tho', yes I know there are trees, but some ambient occlusion and little shadowing will still be present.
I'm currently using Zbrush 3.1 and the default UI, I don't have the patience to change it. Which is pretty simple to use.

In this case, I did that. If you want to have some good centered light, the best way is creating a skylight with an omni light in the middle, right on top. And on render, disable the shadow casting, that way you'll have gray areas in a very symmetric way.
Or you can use the dodge tool in shadow mode to correct those imperfections.

Yeah, I know... the main problem is that I have a Pentium 3 800 mhz with only 512 mb ram, so the fact of subdividing too much is a real pain in the ***, luckily I worked the finishing touches for the model in other computer that it's WAY better than mine, in few days I'll upload the model finished, I need to finish the texture yet.

I've downloaded yesterday thinking "OH No! Not another let's make the noob a pro with wizards and templates" And I must admit I was impressed with the shaders, the interesting grass system, and the dynamic shadows and the incredible open ended support.
This may not be for oblivion or crysis, but sure you can make extremely nice and goodlooking simple games.
If you ever wanted to a very minimalist game this is worthy a try, and this thing don't need a extremely powerful computer to enjoy it. I run it with 30 fps (and more) in a Pentium III 800 mhz with 512 ram :)

actually is a different model, this is a wip yet, I'm making a pocket flashlight rather than the one in the shoulder, I'm filling the belt with a handcuff and a pepper spray and nightstick among other things an armed security guard usually have. The headphone probably will be erased and just the radio on his chest will be kept, the walkie talkie on his back will be moved to his waist and ect etc etc... I didn't have a definitive concept art for this so this is going to be retouched. But thxs for the observation :)
I'm thinking of adding his personal information as codebar in his forehead or a dog tag in his left shoulder, I don't know how this will be looking in a few more days.
