There was a bug when he went to breach the door. If he did not have ammo loaded he would stand around for 30 seconds doing nothing. To fix this bug we had to force him to reload first. It's not for looks, it's just to fix a bug :)

I think it should be save to delete all the lines that dont relate to the NH2 specific captions and just translate the NH2 stuff. That'll remove about 2/3rd of the file.

The .dat file is just a compressed version of the .txt file I believe.

BMS needs to stop being so vein. They're so wrapped up in their world of hype and looking perfect that they forget who they are.

It's just a mod. The only reason people love it so much is because of how old it is and that is has a media censorship policy so tight that even China could claim the moral highground.

They've overhyped and now they are suffering because of it. If they were more down to earth and honest with the community they'd probably be in a much better position right now.

All used content in NH2 is properly credited.

Content is WC's demo was NOT credited. L4D models were used yet it was not mentioned at all in the credits.

Don't know what anyone else thinkss but Crysis was blatently a better games than Super Mario Bros. Better graphics + longer game obviously makes Crysis a better game.

All you seem to care about is custom textures and models. Modding for me is about gameplay, doing something interesting and new. Leave the big AAA studios to improve the graphics, leave the gameplay innovation the modders. Once again I refer to Gravinull.

If all you care about it graphics then you are an extremely shallow person. When I play a mod it's because I want to have fun with a radical new way of playing the game. When I play a game like crysis it's because I want to be wow'ed by amazing graphics.

If at the end of WC's development all you have is a nice looking mod with no gameplay, what have you acomplished? For me, Gravinull was much more enjoyable than the WC demo. Gravinull may not have tonnes of custom content and new textures but it was fun because it did something radically different when it came down to gameplay.

You criticise a mod for being a mod. You seem to lack the understanding that re-using assets to make a new game is what modding is about. Do you still not understand that? Its not about having NEW assets, it's about using OLD assets in a NEW way. Criticising a mod for using old assets in a new way is just stupid.

If it were a valid criticism such as, "this area of the mod just wasn't fun to play because x, and bug y stopped the mod from being fun", that would be fine. But you're criticisms are ridiculous.

I suppose Valve are **** developers too in your opinion because they keep using the same old crowbar model in their half-life2 games, and because they re-used loads of HL2 models in L4D.

You're getting negative karma because of your hipocracy and naivity, not because you criticised the mod.

For **** sake. It's a mod. We're not a game development studio. You seem to confuse the two. You spend so much time trying to immitate a big studio you forget what you really are.

You released a demo for you mod. There's no need for a demo in a modding context? What was the point? It's just being pretentious. You criticise mods for not having completely original artwork, textures and models yet in your mod you take an entire IP as the basis of your mod. Your NPC's, overarching plot and setting are all ripped from Half-Life yet you have the gaul to criticise a mod because it uses the textures of it's parent game?

I started modding to create something for others to enjoy. To take something old and put a new twist on it to breathe new life into the game (not that Half-Life is old/stale). You seem to mod as an ego trip, so that you can call yourself a developer and look down your nose at players for liking something that you with your "developers eyes" decide is not worthy.

I'm sick of your arrogance, naivity and hipocracy, this is not a rant about the community but a rant specifically about you. Prehaps if you even bothered to show the faintest trace of humility or understanding of what modding is about I'd tolerate you. But your sheer self-righteous arrogant nature is just too disgusting for me to ignore.

P.S. You criticise NH2 for being too much like fear, how about you take a look in the mirror because Wilsons Chronicles sure the hell looks exactly like Half-Life to me. I guess it's just a placeholder that you're going to completely replace then?

That is just so nitpicky. As is criticising a mod for not having custom textures.

It's a MOD. We didn't have a texture artist, we just did the best we could with what we had. You can make a mod as nice looking and realistic as possible but if it's not fun to play, what's the point? We focused on gameplay and story, rather than textures and particle effects.
