the new shaders are in my mod, dont remember where i got the original CnLPepper shaders tho.
There is a Babylon5 (star trek) mod of HW2 on here wich uses the newest shaders too.
in terms of graphics i suggest you check out CnlPeppers new shaders for HW2, makes HW2 look like a game from nowadays.

i'll try to release a shader 2 -less version soon then, ill have to test if the new shader 2 textures also work without the actual new shaders tho. If they don't then it's gonna take a while.

well both my mod as Nexus are more focused on realism and play in the near future (the mod plays around 2095-2100, nexus around 2132 or something). If you look at designs by NASA for spaceships & stations you often see that rotating-circle part.
Then again, i have played Nexus alot in the past XD

the sun you see is actually a ship-object, with a gigantic navlight for the corona :P
The map itself has two lights: one very bright yellow-ish light coming fron the sun and a second, black, light coming from the other side to create a very contrasting light effect.
This map will be featured in the first beta release so then you can see for yourself :)
ahh O.R.B. that brings back memories :D still have that game lying here :3
I'm focusing more on realism when it comes to the graphics in this mod i.e. a darker universe, more use of fx such as lensflares etc.

the fix should be ready for download tomorrow, i just replaced the delocale.big file with the locale map. then the localized subtitles and voice-acting should work too.

Okay, so i discoverd the Locale.big file was corrupt and i made an mistake in the Readme. Reuploading the file now i suggest you reinstall it.
still waiting for the upload & journal to be authorized, guess that's ModDb's drawback: the time it takes before something actually appears :/
that's a bit maybe, since humans have no real need nor technological prowess for large squadrons of fighters (at least not in the beginning of the game). However it could be a 'carrier' for resources ;)
a lot of purposes, wich will all be discovered ;)

Well i scrapped that design for now, i have a guy helping me on the fighter designs. Also: since the humans arent that technologically advanced in the beginning of the game, combat is mostly focused on frigate-sized ships.

i agree, and i think im not gonna change the model itself. however, it still misses some subsystems (shields, maybe resourcing, research modules etc) so the end product with all the subsystems build, will prob differ a bit in look.
I dont mind accents, after all its about the human race as a whole amirite ;)

pretty much every subsystem in the game will have a visual impact on the ship(s). Ofcourse, this depends on the subsystem.
Armor will only show some plating/texture changes in most cases, while systems like weapons, engines etc will be more obvious

Seeing as this was the first model ever for DE, the look of it will prob change the more subsystems i make for it. (just look at the Human Frigate comparison pic) ;)
