Are you sure about that? There are mods outside Moddb ;)

Chris did say this is the untextured version :P It's looking good, a tad flat around the tiki but I suppose that was to fit the rotunda in? By all accounts some excellent work!
If you're going by the graphic level in the M16 shot then that's only tempory, our environment is going to be much more dense with architecture that will require the rendering abillities of CryEngine 2
The Worker Village from TLW would be pretty damn awsome!!!
Thanks! I do try! Plus it helps that I'm actually a writer :P
I think I have a good response to this question. In terms of time, there is absolutely no way to tell. What you have to remember is we are all volunteers. We don't have set working hours that we get paid for or company equipment with all the necessary software and hardware. Therefore we don't know how much we'll get done in a week, a month, or a year. There will be complications that will slow things down. Computers breaking, insufficient memory, personal problems etc. The list is unimaginably long and it's all down to a little thing called CHAOS THEORY. But then again in terms of actual physical material finished? I'd say we've made a dent. However we're recreating an entire island from limited material from mulitple different locations across the globe. So in short, it's guna be a while. But it shouldn't take another 65 million years. ;)
There's a picture on my profile with the stairs and fountain added if that helps:)
Yeah I am, but running like a hundred plugins on top of it, and I'm planning on exporting it to Kerkythea when it's finsihed so skinning time should be reduced. Time-wise, it's gonna be a while. The rotunda's got alot of detail to be added, and none of the other rooms have even been started on yet. As a rough estimate I'd say it's in the months, not the weeks.
That would be me, pleased to make your aquaintence:L
Don't think of it as a limitation! Because it's a mod, you can already garantee things like the physics engine working etc. It's a blessing in disguise!
Deja Vu, I'm sure somebody already said that! :L
EDIT: Just read the below comments, sorry!
Just don't climb over it when it's on and everything will be fine!:)
SHOOT HER! Lol, I love it!
With the exception of the T rex which will now be played by Barney!
Lol, I use the same method. And it works as long as the renderer recognises the gaps in the texture.
If you want to play a game like that, I suggest you go out and buy warpath. It's PS1 but it's got some good dino on dino action!
Sorry this should have been posted in reply to the comment below :)
Yeah he does. This is because Steven Spielberg said if we could shove in as many references to his films as we could, then we could have permission (Just in case you didn't realise this is a joke, don't want people taking it seriously :L)
Oh yeah sorry, I meant to ask you if you had it in a different format? I can't load .MAX for some reason.
I'm pretty sure they were only in this pen temporarily, just for feeding. Hammond talks about a more permanent viewing enclosure and Muldoon talks about why they had to move them from their paddock.
Thought so. Although you only ever really see the top. That, and the cow! Speaking of which, is anyone working on the cow yet? :L
I like! The only thing I've always wondered is where is the crane located? Guess I should rewatch the movie AGAIN!
Just to run through what is here and what isn't:
I havent even started on the inside, that needs some more planning. The only thing that is actually finished is the rim around the top of the building, you can't quite see it, but it's there, and it took forever! The arch still needs the skelletal imprints and the doors. The ramp needs a wall around it. The stairs need to be added as well as the fountains. The roof needs alot of work. The top needs railings. The windows need frames. And if I do all of this, That'll only be the front finished. So I'd say it's a long way off yet. But it's not too bad for two weeks work right? :)
Most likely it will be optional. I remember there being something a while ago that said "Unfolded for slow, precision shooting and folded for quick, but less accurate firing." Or something along those lines :).
Don't worry, it will be ;). It just might take a while, it's quite a complex building.
Note to self; Include human model for scale reference! Thanks though!

Architechual modeller. That's me. And I'm good. Ask me to do cars and people though, and suddenly not so good. I love games. As for types it varies. Mod-wise, I used to work on the "Jurassic Park" Mod for Crysis. At the moment I'm currently under taking my own project as well as "Quarantine" Mod for Crysis.
