I do writing, mission design, level design, modding and general busy-work for Wormwood as well as some art and modelling.
Mod Review on Feb 26th, 2012 - 7 people agree 10 people don't
Decent gameplay. Writing is, unfortunately, rather poor. Grammatical mistakes and badly constructed sentences are commonplace.
The way guns zoom out when you aim down the sights is reprehensible. I want someone's head for this.
Stalkers having unlimited ammo while alive but only dropping a few rounds is, while incredible irritating, not your fault, so I'll let you off on that one.
Zombies taking more than one 9x39mm shot to the head at 2m range is stupid.
Owl needs to sell a more diverse selection of ammo - getting to the Skadovsk and finding he only sells 15 rounds AP at a time of your chosen weapon's ammo is irritating.
The new flesh texture, while technically impressive, makes them all look like Alf.
The walking sound that plays while on metal or concrete sounds like someone chewing noisily.
On the whole, the new textures are good, but some of the weapon textures, fr'instance the VSK-94 feel overdone. It looks like it's been dug up out of a peat bog somewhere.
Porn mags are immersion-breaking, especially given how they contrast with how brown everything else is.
This mod is an impressive achievement as the culmination as a lot of work, and, with sufficient tweaking I could see it getting an 8 or 9. 10 is reserved for some sort of mod nirvana, so you ain't getting that. 10s should not just been thrown around foolishly, and I wouldn't call this mod the best CoP mod ever nor how the game should have been from the beginning.
Still, you should feel proud. As a modder, you have succeeded in revitalising CoP, and, in my opinion, Misery can join the hallowed ranks of "Good Mods for Stalker"
"How do I survive in this Misery" is the worse ******* line of the bunch, though. Am I allowed to swear in this?
