How the heck do you repair weapons/armor? I.imgur.com I buy the appropriate stuff, I click it, and nothing doing. No one in the /vg/ thread can figure it out either.

Could you help us out and give us a plain explanation on how to repair gear?

Although neither of you will probably come back and see this after all this time hopefully this will help someone in the future. Downgrading from patch 1.0005 to patch 1.0004 is required to run ZoA. If you are using Steam then you are using 1.0005 and must downgrade. There is an image here that will explain the process in detail. Moddb.com

I've always thought that the primary drop off between mods for SoC and mods for CoP is that no one increases the unexpected situations like AMK did for SoC.

I'm glad the MISERY team decided to take that issue head on and add variance and unexpected difficulty to the zone.

If blowouts are meant to last for several hours does that mean we will be able to sleep during blowouts? The thought of having to sit for quite some real time while the blowout passes sounds fun at first but could get old.

I was discussing a Victoria 2 mod the other day and someone put it aptly: PDM (a mod) used to be great until it caught the plague of "You know what this needs? More features"

Be wary of taking on too many things at once, after all it's just you and us to beta test it. Seeing the detectors released and then later on balanced is more important to me than a few UI, new weapons, new features.

Yeah I tried that following 4 year old advice from a Russian board. It just throws up a new bug each time until you give up.

I think it has something to do with selling a soviet grenade launcher to a npc (from what I gathered after searching through google for an hour).

Hell if I know how I got it though. It's come up twice, once while dicking around in Dark Valley and once while dicking around in Army Warehouse. Both of the two times the crash came after trying to leave the level, during the loading screen.

Both times the only solution was to load an earlier save before I went to that area.

Thanks anyway though.

You know how when you load a save while sneaking, everyone can see you? I've found a lot of random bits of behavior carry over between reloads sometimes.

When NPCs refuse to budge and block my way I'll quicksave and shoot them a few times. After they retreat and start firing I reload the last save. Sure enough, after reloading the NPC moves.

Perhaps that could help you. Just shoot the egghead and reload (without saving!). See if that changes his actions.

Kicks ***. But it's really more of a decal with all that fine detail isn't it? I mean you couldn't really do it in the stitch pattern like the other patches. It'd be badass sprayed on walls and painted on helmets other hard smooth surfaces. As a patch patch, threads and **** patch, it'd be a little intense to have an Kalashnikov.

From a purely pragmatic point of view, I hope you'll make the NPCs related to the detectors invulnerable. Especially in Army Warehouse where everyone will sooner or later die.

I finished Yantar yesterday with roughly 250,000 RU. Just keep your eye out for artifacts then sell them to stalkers or use them to complete trader quests. Instant fortune.

The number of magazines I received corresponded to the 400~ or so loose bullets I had on me. Go figure. Anyway-

Same exact issue trying to load a drum magazine with 5.56 AP rounds, same deal as before. I had purchased both the empty drum and the boxed rounds from Prof Sakharov. When I tried to fill the drum with the *boxed* rounds the game crashed afterwards (when I switched to a different weapon slot). However if I put those same boxed AP rounds into a regular STANAG magazine first, unloaded that magazine, then loaded the 'loose' (non boxed) 5.56 AP rounds into the drum everything went fine and the game didn't crash.

I remember it working fine in patch 1.5.

Other than that bit, the spawn tables have improved a lot. I kinda miss those super swarms of mutants in Dark Valley but I like being able to complete quests without giving npcs invulnerability to rupture to they aren't shredded by 40 boars. TOZ is still ridiculously good and I'll be carrying one until the end of the game. Sometimes when I shoot blind dogs with a AK-74 M they go flying at maximum speed, can't really explain that.

Oh yeah one last thing- bullets are worth too much. A single bullet is worth more than a full magazine of bullets lol. I really like the trader rebalance though. It's how the game should be. Artifacts worth lots of money (too much sometimes imo) and bullets/guns worth barely anything. Feels very true to the game.
