If you see an option called RSG in the options menu, it's the pre-order version.
Interesting, can you elaborate, what exactly has gotten worse in your opinion?
I never saw anyone use quick bombs and it felt really odd, that's why is removed.
you'll get your key to the email you used when you bought it from fastspring.
it should get to you in 24 hours.
Paradox didn't force the steam-only thing on us. I had enough headaches with supporting just Desura and standalone versions on linux and pc (this means 4 different builds).
Adding Steam and Mac to these lists bumps the number of different builds to 9.
Every executable might have its own bugs that need to be fixed. This kind of work is awfully time consuming and also the most boring part of making a game. Reducing it was an easy decision.
You still don't explain why Steam is bad.
When you buy software, you actually buy a license to use it under certain conditions.
it has been like that forever. If you breach the terms, license terminates and you have to destroy all copies of software, at least you are legally required. Is Steam evil because it actually allows to enforce this?
The main problem with DRM is when it becomes annoying. CD keys, code wheels, always online, tages, starforce, securom etc are really annoying. Steam on the other hand puts all your games in one place, keeps them up to date and syncs your saves between computers.
Steam has it's own problems: the 'I'll buy it when it gets on Steam' attitude, for example, that makes it harder for new teams to be successful, but this is totally another discussion
Linux build will be released at the same time as Windows and Mac ones.
It will be Steam-only, for now. Maintaining Steam, Desura and standalone versions for all 3 different OSes would increase the workload for me enough that I would have no time to do anything else at all.
I hope you understand.
We couldn't announce our partnership with paradox before.
Paradoxplaza.com
We'll do an announcement about that eventually. Can't say much more right now.
The only teleporter that has a switch is the final teleporter in level 10. After entering that, you've won the game. Didn't you get the end-game text?
I'm not sure how level 18 and 19 are even possible.
What do you mean by crashing? BSOD? the whole screen locks up? something else?
As this is the first report of that bug and it's really hard for an application to crash the whole computer, I think that it is caused by general system instability.
Can't really suggest anything else than driver updates and if you've overclocked something in your computer, clock it back.
On windows there should be a launcher that lets you toggle windowed-fullscreen.
On linux, add a command-line option -w, if running standalone, right click on teleglitch->properties->add -w to fixed launch options.
Tried to ragequit with alt-f4 and it didn't work? ;)
Your way of closing the game seems more work than just esc-left arrow-enter, but the real problem is that this way it won't save your progress.
Why the alt-f4 doesn't work is actually a good question. I personally never use it, so I never checked. For some reason it is working in our current development build.
I guess being advertised as a deal doesn't mean that there is a sale going on. It looks to me that this newsletter is something like staff pick or popular new games instead of discounted games.
Then again, I have no idea how their selection process works.
Maybe even in the next week. I'd rather not give any specific dates.
More variety in rooms, special rooms and even parallel levels are definetly on our list.
Uploaded, links should appear somewhere once they are approved.
I sent these Desura keys out so the people who bought it before we got on Desura would have access to it. I dunno why it said gift there, because it's just another way to access your already-owned game.
I planned it to be done by yesterday, but offline world got in the way. I'd like to do a few large updates instead of lots of small ones, because compiling for every platform and distribution system is already a lot of pain, so you may have to wait a couple of days more.
Yeah, I got it. So far, there's 3 people having this same problem. I've found that there isn't really anything for me to do about that. It seems like a bug in either openal soft or windows xp. (I'm not doing anything platform specific with my code) I'll try a new build of openal for the next release. If that doesn't fix it, the only other option would be to upgrade your os or to use your onboard sound chipset.
It isn't supposed to be like that. I haven't found a fix for that yet.
Please PM me your sound card model and OS.
It's actually implemented, but it was too imprecise to be of any use, so I've disabled it.
I'm actually working right now on saving. When you die, the save will be deleted. It's for people who don't have enough continious free time to play it in one sitting.
