I'm passionate about gaming and have been doing it ever since 1996 when I got the PS1. I've been modding ever since late 2006 (almost a 10 year gap). My first ever mod was Desert Region for Morrowind. I tried modding for Half-Life but it's not for me. I focus mainly on my Desert Region mod series but I'm also on the Rule 12 dev team.

This is to inform about the upcoming Desert Region 2 release, plus my future projects. Firstly, Desert Region 2. I really appreciate how the interest in my mod was maintained for 3 years. I know I have been saying over and over again that a specific version would be the final release. I have fully played through Desert Region 2 and I have put down on paper what I have to fix. I have done most of the work just last weekend. I have added an upgradable amulet which can teleport you to quest areas, greetings are added to certain NPCs and I have added more maps to Northern Moscow (which can only be accessed after the main quest). I will release the next release when I feel it is ready; which might not even be in Q1 2010. The worst, it might be released in Q4 2010.
Concerning future projects, I have mentioned a third installment of Desert Region in past blogs. Modding on the Source engine felt a bit daunting and it did not have much of the features that I wanted (hardly any support for voice acting, collectable items...etc). I am saving up for a gaming rig so I could run the next generation of games on my computer.
Desert Region 3 will be in two parts. The first part will be for Fallout 3 and the second part will be for Oblivion.
But what about after Desert Region 3? Let us wait and see :)
AND MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

The development for my Ashes of Apocalypse add-on "Desert Region 2: The Final Frontier" will continue as long as fans are still interested in it. Even if Desert Region 3 will be made, I will make DLC anyway, but with new characters only.
I'll be continuing development, this weekend at the latest. I'll fix the problems with The Ballad of The Missing Marat and I'll connect it to another DLC. Be aware that all DLC will need the main download to work. Happy gaming :)
PS: Here's my mod project timeline:
Desert Region 1 - (2006-2007)
Desert Region 2: The Final Frontier - (2007-present)
Desert Region: The 9th Chapter - (2009)
Desert Region 3 - (hopefully project will start in Q2 2010)

As you all know, I've recently completed 2 Desert Region mods yesterday. I'm deciding to take a break from Desert Region for a while. I'm not, repeat NOT giving it up forever. No, I'll come back with news of Desert Region 3 for Oblivion when I'll get my new laptop. And a few more after that, perhaps.
Meanwhile, I'll be helping out in Rule 12 (I know, I've said it several times already). It looks really awesome and if you like AOA/Desert Region 2, then you'll definitely love Rule 12! If you haven't heard of it before, here's the link:
Happy gaming!

As you all know, there were no updates on my mods for at least 2 weeks. That's because I was busy with other things and I had a nice holiday in Spain. Anyway, development will still continue for the 2 Desert Region mods, plus the team effort Rule 12 mod. I hope to finish them both in a few days because I want to focus on Rule 12 during my school days.

Recently, I registered with Freewebs to have my own website for my mod portfolio. It's still not finished yet but I'll post the link when I'm finished. It'll include screenshots of my current mods, plus exclusive gameplay videos.
Anyway, I finally have time on my hands so I'll be working on Desert Region: The 9th Chapter today. I'll post up screenshots when I've done some of the new levels.

Unfortunately, due to the mediocre response to Desert Region 3, I've decided to cease development for the Source engine. Meanwhile, I'll work on Desert Region 2 and the 9th Chapter. You can still view the DR3 mod but I'm deciding that it will be for Oblivion instead. I've archived it so I'll come back and re-edit everything when I get my new graphics card.

Since I've recently come to grips with modding for Half-Life, I've decided to make Desert Region 3 my top priority mod project right now. I have to focus on making enough for the mod profile, then I'll work on all four mod projects. The 9th Chapter and the Final Frontier are not dead; they are just on hold for the moment. I'll get back to them, sometime in the near future.

Hi and welcome. Let me give a brief overview about the Desert Region mod for Half-Life. I've already done the first map but unfortunately, I can't seem to compile it. Instead of being in a desert, it will be in an industrial location. I don't want to reveal too much yet, mainly because I'm trying to make the transition between Morrowind and Half-Life.

I'm sorry to say that I have some good news and some bad news, regarding my modding.
First, the good news. The Desert Region series will have 3 more mods in place (Half-Life, Half-Life 2 and Oblivion). So characters like Marat are still on my plate.
Now, the bad news is that my allowance got a bit jacked up at the moment and I'm not able to purchase Half-Life right now. That means 3-4 months delay in the final release of Desert Region 3. Luckily, I'm still planning the mod and you'll definitely see some screenshots in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of this year.

Since I already made Desert Region 2, I figured out what would be in the third one already. It will be put in Half-Life (I have a fair idea of mapping and world building) and it'll mainly take place in Desert Region, quite close to Black Mesa. Now, I won't reveal too much yet but the character Marat will actually talk with my recorded voice. I don't have Half-Life yet, but I will soon.
Watch this space.
EDIT: For those ones who loved Desert Region 1 and 2, I have some bad news. Desert Region 3 is planned to be the final one which continues along the "protecting Desert Region" storyline, I'm afraid. The other fully moddable games just won't have the desert sands, according to the whole storyline.
The future of characters like Marat is highly uncertain, I'm afraid. At least, not at the moment. So far, three mods are actually enough to conclude the storyline. Any other series emerging is uncertain as well.
