Because the Majestic-class was designed to be a heavy cruiser that had a compact size yet was still very powerful. These ships were designed to take on ISDs.

Every single unit in the game has been re-balanced since 1.3. Each faction will have its pros and cons.
Trust, me I didn't forget the nature of the planet his map is based on ;). The map already uses the maximum height range allowed in the FOC editor so the top of the rift valley is pretty high up. There is only one rift valley featured in this map so no to your last question. There are no prisons (ie. The Tomb) featured in this map.
Originally I was planning to have the landing zone start up in the arctic area but this presented some feasibility issues due to the height differences in the two areas. It would have basically ended up in one rather large ugly ramp. Ergo the map is only limited to the temperate zone.
It will be in the 2.0 release along with the rest of the content shown since the release of 1.3
There are no plans to change the music.

As much as we would like to change this particular aspect of the game, this is one element that cannot be modified by modders from what we can tell.

There are no plans to add the Eye of Palpatine.
I believe Corey was having some viewport issues in Max when he was rendering this hence, they odd lighting and zoomed out render. :p

The bridge design is completely different, there are three very large hangars on the Endurance and there are also forward towers. The base hull also underwent some changes to accommodate these design features.
Except that it's pretty easy to turn these ships to face the other side.
Try this unofficial multiplayer patch. It's what works for me.
We took some creative liberties on the MC80B design because overall it was our least favourite design. This includes a sleeker look more similar to this concept of the Mon Remonda:
As well a command bridge was added to the ship.
From left to right; MC90, Viscount and a MC80B.
It's a bit tougher to kill than an Executor.But it most certainly does die.
It won't have the shield boost ability. That would make it unbalanced.

Just a thought that first came to mind when I saw this. You might actually be able to fix those those pesky ground cover props. No more floating grass on hillsides :p.

Awesome job with the Shadow Blob technique you used with those "decal" props. The most I ever had was light meshes to put lights on the ground. The way those props conform to the terrain though is amazing. They look like they'll be incredibly useful for your maps.
