We will not be switching the Maurauder back to a missile variant. That variant was created soley for EAW/FOC and is not seen else where in the Star Wars canon. As for skirmish cost I'll let Corey mull over that
It's up to our web designer. If he's willing to reveal his magic he'll contact you. If not, well then you won't be getting any PMs.
The Desura download has already been updated to 2.1
Some of these reasons were also outlined in this video:
Our current plans are to have the Imperial Remnant, New Republic and Empire of the Hand as the playable factions (for now).
He did reply to your question in the second paragraph of his post. We won't be doing a larger version of the From the Ground Up GC due to the technical issues (the control freeze) mentioned in his post.
Almost all of the units for the EOTH were made up by us already and aren't canon. We have no plans however on giving them a SSD as it doesn't fit in with our vision of the faction as well as Thrawn's views.
There's no difference between how intense 2.0 is on your GPU compared to 1.3. We have no plans in re-releasing an outdated version here.
We're glad that you enjoy the mod.
You can only build them one time. It may have been a mistake on his part.
On another note; please feel free to head to our forums if you have any unit suggestions for the PA for 2.1 .
That's a bug with the base game. It tends to happen alot with fighters as well as some other types of units.
Protons and missiles not going through shields is completely intentional.
Desura is still set to the old version, the Desura staff will have to update it. You'll have to download either the installer or zip version to play the mod at the moment.
It has been uploaded already. We just have to wait for the ModDB Staff to authorize it.
What did you have in mind exactly for "more gameplay mechanics". We implemented everything we said we would.
We don't control what goes onto Desura. That is up to the ModDB staff.
No, we will not be adding space units to ground battles. They'd be way out of scale to fit on the map and extremely over powered if balanced according to canon. Not to mention many space ships weren't capable of atmospheric flight.
When it's done.
The RSD has been cut for 2.0.
Our last news post has more info on the subject.
The Pentastar Alignment will be a playable faction in 2.0.
There is no Galactic Conquest multiplayer in version 1.3. GC multiplayer has been added for 2.0 however.
Because the Majestic-class was designed to be a heavy cruiser that had a compact size yet was still very powerful. These ships were designed to take on ISDs.
This is a GC map.
Every single unit in the game has been re-balanced since 1.3. Each faction will have its pros and cons.
Trust, me I didn't forget the nature of the planet his map is based on ;). The map already uses the maximum height range allowed in the FOC editor so the top of the rift valley is pretty high up. There is only one rift valley featured in this map so no to your last question. There are no prisons (ie. The Tomb) featured in this map.
Originally I was planning to have the landing zone start up in the arctic area but this presented some feasibility issues due to the height differences in the two areas. It would have basically ended up in one rather large ugly ramp. Ergo the map is only limited to the temperate zone.
It will be in the 2.0 release along with the rest of the content shown since the release of 1.3
