Well if i kept it like before where the Charger was already cheaper and was a dedicated AA support ship, it would be useless to build later in the game. Thus making the Charger a redundant unit that would almost never be built by the player past tech 1.
Just too many redundant units in-game, so I've juggled some armaments and squadrons. Then i took out some units and moved some to hero ships only.

Well old to you. Since the last release i've revamped a ton of stuff, removed redundant units and added new ones.
No release projections as of yet due to balancing issues.
certain tasks in that old version of the mod caused crashes. IE: Mon Calamari, Ilum.
Sticking to Skirmish is the way to go.
Well this is a tail gun not a full turret. The Clone Wars era Y-Wing was very big and slow, thus needing the full turret and it also was a two-man bomber where one guy was in the turret bubble. The ANH-RoTJ Y-Wing was one-man and had to swap between the 4 fixed firing arcs which would be almost useless in a dogfight.
This one is small, fast, maneuverable, one-maned, It can even dogfight if absolutely needed. tail-gun is just that, A Tail-Gun.
Also in this version of Star Wars, the rebel Y-Wing modifications never happened so the Y-Wing design from TCW are the only ones that happened and this Y2-Wing is the evolution of that one, not the BTL-A4 from the movies.
This is to the BTL-B Y-Wing what the TIE Scimitar was to the TIE Bomber.
the center ship is for Era-3 of my Knights of the Old Empire Fannon Storyline. The center ship is the result of merging the Knight's Neo-Harrower and Kuat's Imperator into a new design that will act as the main capital ship of the United Empire which is one of the new factions.
This will all happen a long time from now however as i've still not fully completed KotOE 1 or 2.
This is just something i felt like making for the hell of it.

Same design i've been using for awhile now. i've only changed the texture.
But yeah the two major changes from the Fractalsponge/Cinematic Harrower-design is the added Venator-ish bridge and fanged forward hull. Two changes that were made to make this thing still a Harrower yet look newer.

If you're referring to Awakening instead of Unity, then yes the old version of Awakening is buggy and most has been fixed for the next release.
1. Well it kinda sucks imo. It's a solid idea but it needs to be redone.
2. It doesn't go well with the other republic ships at the moment.
3. It was quite large(Long) and didn't move very well.

Well in this era the Republic is slowly being taken over by a sect known as the True Republic. This group is made up of those who see the Republic as the ultimate symbol of galactic peace and the Jedi as the sole protectors of the galaxy.
This group is led by A'Sharad Hett (Who becomes Darth Krayt in canon) who along with a few key members of the True Republic orchestrated the attack on Korriban which began the war. He then rallied the Jedi in a similar manner as Revan to join the war. This led to the Senate naming his the Supreme Commander of the Republic, making him above the Jedi Council and basically reforming the Army of Light from the New Sith Wars.
The actual Republic believes that the Sith attacked themselves and blamed the Republic to force a war. The Unity believes the Republic was seeing them as rivals and to even the playing field damaged the Star Forge.
The whole point of this time (20 years after Awakening) was to have a few kids of the former heroes be the main heroes of this tale. They would be very low ranked Knights led by Drake and Sera's son and be trying to find out the truth of the war which would end in outing the True Republic who by that point would control nearly all of the republic thus dissolving the Republic with the death of A'Sharad Hett who has become a Dark Jedi using the Death Star on anything in his path.
Only really saying all of this because i can't actually create a scripted story mode in this even though i have most of the plot planned.
It's my old attempt at an advanced Venator i did a few years ago for my mod. Really need to remake that thing.
It has the speed of a corvette with the movement of a fighter only dreadfully less maneuverable in dogfights
Yeah it behaves like a fighter and the TIEs spawn from it without issue.
The Organa was basiclly only in the mod because i liked it. There was really no need for it with the other heavy SDs in the mod.
I got rid of the Retribution because Jeroenimo is letting me use his Secutor and my Retribution was kinda a crappy model that i may or may not revise at a later date.
Cabur'kal is basiclly a Mandalorian style Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser (In my mind anyway) that i was built for the Black Alliance at the end of the Clone Wars that i've now added to this mod too.
1. Minor heroes are buildable heroes that are not given to you at each tech level.
2. Anakin may be built on Tatooine or Naboo because he's in charge of the restoration of Tatooine and also married to the Councilor of Naboo.
I did this so i could have the large number of heroes but limit them to what planets you own and how much you're willing to pay.

Game of Thrones - Lords govern areas of the empire while the Emperor controls the whole government.
Code Geass - Underestimated royal rebels against the oppressive government in a disguise.
Fable 3 - A much darker enemy is coming that the Emperor is doing evil things to gain the power to defend against.
For me the mod crashes at the loading screen before the main menu. I followed the instructions and am using the 1.2 version of the game.
It isn't really the back story of the mod, but is the first draft before i added more to and and eventually moved it to the Clone Wars era instead of the Galactic Civil War era.
And yes WoWS is amazing but i still have to say Battlestations: Midway/Pacific was better if only for the scenarios and stories. Wargaming needs to stop making arcade games and let us have some historical battles in their games.

Thanks. This started as a Fanfic i was going to write as i used to be really into writing them a few years back. But i started making lists for characters, history and such and soon started implementing it into a mod which led me to stop working on my old mod Moddb.com
I actually already have the next era planned out with a mix of elements from Game of Thrones, Code Geass and Fable 3. but that's way off and i want to perfect Awakening, Unity and Origins first.
I call the shape of the series "Aegis" because it looks like a kite shield from the top. atleast to me.

KOTOE V1 is what i named the .rar file that the mod is inside of. Don't see why people keep using "Extract to KOTOE V1" instead of "Extract Here" or better yet...
Double-click on KOTOE.rar and drag the folder "Knights_of_the_Old_Empire" into the mods folder. Simplist thing in the world and works the same as every other mod for EAW/FOC no matter if you have steam/disc/gold versions.
PS: No mod works with a SPACE in the name.
Actually the voices are ripped from Warcraft II and III.
