Crazy Jumper

Mod review may contain spoilers

I didn't like this, there were no music, which made this very dull. I agree with KrustiClawn, that it is positive that you're trying something new. However, I too think you need practice, and not make some areas look like as if you've just rushed through them, like that area where the mansion walls are both floor and ceiling, and it didn't look creative at all.
The boxes to get up to the stove, were nearly impossible to place, and barely touching them made them fall down again, and I felt that it was too high up to reach, and the boxes just fell again and again, which became very frustrating, so I gave up eventually. Also, because the boxes were way too big, it was hard to place them right, and see where to put them on top of another box. That could've been a little different there.
Also, all those health potions, it took alot of time to pick them all up, which I found kinda boring. And there were no other items. The rooms were dull and had almost nothing at all, except health potions, key, doors and boxes.
But I have never played a Custom Story where I'm small and everything else is big, so I found that amusing. The level design gets a plus from me for the creativity. It did feel like a triumph to reach the key at the top. Especially since I had fallen off many times already. Your story isn't the best I've played, but keep it up the good work, don't give up, you have potential to be a great modder and create better stories. :) Good luck!

Castle of Horrors

Mod review may contain spoilers

I enjoyed the two scares with the Grunt, and I liked the look of the corridor after the staircase-part where the player falls down. They were frightening to me, and I liked where you placed them, though I wish there was a chance to hide when the player encounters a Grunt behind a door, which starts chasing the player right away without warning. At least it was easy to run away from it. One thing, though... I have reached Alexander's portrait, but then nothing happens, and there's no way out. What do I do next? I'm stuck, and can't get out of the castle.
Out of curiosity, I see comments which mention a Brute, where is it? I saw no Brute in your story.
If this is your first story, I see that you have potential to do better. I don't think it was that bad, though I must be honest and say that the puzzles were too easy, and it could've been more scares, but you tried your best. I didn't get it how the explosive mixtures created themselves, though... I'm a new modder myself, working on a CS, and I also know how hard it is to create one. Add things to your maps, instead of leaving them so empty. Also, the tinderboxes were pretty useless, and there's no way out. Still, I give you a 7 for your work, since I enjoyed playing it until I reached the portrait.

Escape from Brackenburg

Mod review may contain spoilers

This is fantastic! The level design was beautiful, and the scares were great. With all those unexpected monster encounters, dark corners, eerie atmosphere and the fact I didn't know what to expect, there wasn't one place where I felt safe. You used all the monsters, and I liked that. The Grunt was present, along with the Brute, the Kaernk and even the Suitor was there. They showed up in perfect times, and the music you have chosen for your levels was perfect fit. Though there were many horrifying parts, such as the Grunt chase though the last corridor of the cellar, the ending really got to me, when I was in the maze-like dungeon and its cells. It was scary, and I never knew where the monsters were, which made me freak out. The intense music was perfect for that area, I must say.

I don't have one negative thing to say about this awesome and amazing mod. I think it's perfect the way it is. The scares were frightening, as I said, and everything else I really enjoyed. You did indeed use a perfect amount of oil and tinderboxes, so if I used it up, there simply wasn't anymore until I found more of them. A great mod, it had everything that frightened me. Keep up the good work. You have skills, and concidering this was your first one, that amazes me.
