That fixed version has not been created at the time of the above comment. It is currently being uploaded, and a copy of it will be uploaded here in a few days at most.

Sorry about that. The campaign is unfinished and was included in the release by mistake.

inside your homeworld2\Bin\Release\ folder there should be a homeworld2.log. If you put the contents of this file on a service like Pastebin and link them here, that could hep figure out the problem.

Kushan, the Taiidani factions, Vaygr, and Frerrn are the only ones really locked in as playable. Kadeshi, Turanic, and Tobari would be nice and interesting to have playable, but they're lower priority and have their own challenges from both visual and game design perspectives. The same is true for various Kiith offshoots, in a perfect world we'd have a fully unique Somtaaw fleet and a variety of Kiith specific alternatives to UNH ships, but it's not top priority.

T-MAT as they are in the original relic ideas for them will not be appearing in HW:@. We just don't find them to be an interesting setting element to include. The 'rock ship' seen in HW1 that was intended for them is being used as the inspiration for the ships of one of the galactic council members under a different name and with different concept.

Yeah, we pretty much went a whole new direction with them. Speaking for myself and not the team, I never found the relic concepts for them very interesting.

I'm in agreement with AmDDRed on this one, both this and the previous ship have very long straight lines from nose to tail, which makes for an overly simple outline. In my opinion HW2's ship design already has this problem a lot, but I'd point to some of Pouk's recent work as a way to make more dynamic variations on the Vaygr theme.

Could you be more specific about what ships are behaving in those ways? A few ships meant to provide a 'boss' type challenge in survival mode fit, but those should be the exception, not the norm.

Also, could you elaborate on "some ingame menu button are all dark"? That's an issue I'm not aware of, and sounds like it needs fixing.

Sorry for not replying last time you reported it, and thanks for reporting it! We'll have to get that patched up in the next release, the drone systems is a bit fragile.

I'm not aware of any comprehensive mod install tutorials out there. I might have to make one. Thee's install instructions in the readme contained inside the download, but they may be out of date.

Testing out balance and gameplay ideas required a ship list more extensive than our art output could quickly catch up with. The untextured or unmodeled ships you see in game are a result of that. They will be replaced as possible.

I don't actually remember them being in Cata, but they're in HW1 both in single and multiplayer. Ours are more detailed, but generally yes.

Unfortunately, it does not seem that the bug in question was fixed. If you're willing to edit files, rather than wait for a new release you could open \leveldata\waveData.lua and replace all instances of HWAT_FRN_CAStandard with HWAT_FRN_CAHeavy.

Turns out the bug that 0.2.21.1 was released to fix didn't actually get fixed in 0.2.21.1. Oops. There'll be a small chance of crashing on higher waves. Future releases should not have this issue.

can you please check the version you are using? 0.2.21.0 had an issue that fits your problem, which should have been fixed in 0.2.21.1.

As for missions, the public version has no finished mission content.

Actually, we tend to take HW1 scaling as our benchmark, not HW2's. Having some 'size creep' makes in-universe sense after 100 years of RnD, but we were a bit surprised to see how dramatic the size differences here were, to be honest. It remains to be seen if and how we'll address that in future work on the ship.

This should contain everything needed to play the mod. The other 0.2.21.1 download is simply an alternate packaging method.
