Just a guy who loves single player mods. Mainly Half-life 1 and 2 mods.
Deus Ex's GUI was fine, since I used Kentie's exe. I'm not using it with TNM, so I know it's the correct INI.
The thing is, I can read the text from the smaller GUI, so if I was forced, I think I could play the game that way. I'd just rather have the GUI the same size as when I played Deus Ex.
Thanks for your help btw.
Yeah, I renamed it. it does launch Kentie's exe. But the game itself won't accept any changes.
I can tell it to set the res to something, then launch the game, and nothing will have changed.
Unfortunately, just like the manual said could happen, adding bNoUIFix=True did nothing to help.
If I could get Kentie's exe to work correctly, I think I could select the non scaling GUI option, and that would fix it.
Bah, I should have noted that I have the OpenGL on 1600x900, the highest it will go. I can get the res at 1680x1050, which is my monitor's native res. But only with Ketie's DX10 render. The problem with that is, it seems to mess up the games lighting quite a bit.
I'm guessing because it's meant for Deus Ex, and not this mod.
OK, I got the mod installed. It doesn't seem to work with Kentie's launcher(the launcher will work, but the game won't accept any changes made through it)but that's not my question.
How do I get the GUI back to normal? I think it's way too small.
Nice! This mod and Cry of Fear are my most anticipated mods.
Just ordered the third game, gonna try to play though the first two games again before it arrives.
So this mod looks like it came out at a right time for me.
It's amazing what you've been able to get out of this older engine, great job!
Those are some great looking models, great job guys.
Thanks for the info. I have a feeling the rare plants don't have any potions you can make out of them, after checking out the Nehrim wiki.
Kinda of a follow up question to my first 2, should I just use the rare plants right away? Or will I be able to make stronger potions out of them later, like the Gothic series?
Just had a quick question, since I started playing, I noticed this mod really feels like a combo of Oblivion, and the Gothic series.
So what I wanted to know was, do Alchemy plants and ingredients still grow back? And do enemies still respawn? Or is it like the Gothic games, once you pick/kill them, they are gone forever?
Statues that come alive to attack?
Hmm, I haven't started it yet(Found the prequel Arktwend, and am playing that atm)but it seemed to be working OK for me when I tried it. Who knows? "Shrug"
Nice glow on those crystals.
Why shouldn't you put it in Program Files? That's what I did, seems to be fine.
The game didn't look like this when I was at this part....
So this is a prequel to Nehrim huh? Glad I found this, so I can start it before I start Nehrim.
Did you get a cease and desist letter?
I hope not, Nintendo usually lets fangames be. It's not like you were selling this or anything.
They aren't like Square, sending out C&D letters to any little fangame.
Sure is an interesting idea, I didn't play all that much of it, for one reason, it's just way too dark.
Wow! Interesting idea! Tracking!
Lava makes everything better!
This mod was excellent! It's so far, the only mod where you play as the Combine, that truly made me feel I was part of the Combine, and not just a reskined Freeman.
Can't wait for part 2!
Wow! What an ending! I could really believe that's how the Combine first got to Earth. Really makes me want Ep. 2.
Cool song remix in the credits too, haha.
Just get the automatic patch, and it should do everything for you.
You could, you know, not be a dirty thief. Pretty sure you can get HL2 Ep2 for around 10 bucks.
That's a glitch, it happened to me as well, you'll just have to load an old save, and go thru the gate again, and hope John passes with you.
Man, glad I started on easy, you guys wanted this to be a hard mod didn't you? One Houndeye takes almost 2 clips of pistol ammo to take down.
Seems like an good mod, but wow, how did you manage to mess up melee weapons so much? It seems you literally have to be less then a centimeter away, to actually hit anything with the knife, or center it just right.
Trying to knife a Headcrab can be pretty hard.
