I am a project lead on Tales from the Galactopticon and I will fight you in real life.
I assumed he meant doors that slide up, but the doors in this picture are regular swinging doors so idk
SWEEP THE LEG
SWEEP THE LEG
Maybe Fakefactory will make a cinematic mod of our mod, with giant boobs and creepy eyes on everything.
It's the future!
It's not even textured dude
Insecure are we
I love this man, thanks so much. If Galactopticon were a sci-fi novel, this would be the cover.
Actually present-day taxis tend to use the same model as police cruisers (Crown Vic) so it's not entirely lazy. They did it in GTA too.
I just wanted to say "No More Room In Hell" is a great title. Really accentuates the classic zombie vibe. Keep up the great work guys :]
Thanks very much! We'll do our best to live up to your expectations :)
You're not the first person to say that. I've never actually played Syndicate Wars, if anything it was inspired by the cop cars from FutureCop (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xPOZ2F8b2I) but they're a lot blockier.
It was actually going to be a ford, but I decided it looked more like a futuristic impala or something.
Modelling an interior for this just so we can have slightly transparent glass would be a huge waste of time and resources, not to mention inefficient ingame, since it's a map prop.
That's why cars in most FPS games don't have transparent windows.
Maybe he's into that stuff.
That's pretty creepy dude
The main character was always an alien. Right now we're modding the EP2 engine, although if it's possible to do with minimal hassle we'd like to switch up to the version in Portal 2.
oil leak isn't funny :(
I don't know if you've encountered it but there's a fair few who take issue with the hamfisted gender roles (among other things) in videogames. For example: M.wired.com
Since we're doing a mod, and not beholden to sales figures or publishers, we have the opportunity to subvert peoples expectations. And it's more important that this character immediately register as a bamf than as female anyway.
I kept trying to take screenshots of this guy and he would just walk away as soon as I got a good angle. What a ****.
The mafia characters wear turtlenecks instead of ties to differentiate them from a group of corporate suits the player meets later.
I'm sure it's possible, but it would be a lot of work for a relatively minor payoff. If we get bogged down adding a bunch of minor features just because they seem cool, we'll never be able to get this mod out the door.
Also, John Solomon doesn't know how to hack.
Don't tell him, but that suit doesn't go with anything.
It's hard to tell in the light, but Breen's suit is brown and that one is gray. It also has a pocket hankerchief and white cuffs.
Yeah, that's just the HL2 with a dumb space font. A new HUD is on the to-do list.
WIP stands for "work in progress."
Well, you know what they say about big feet.
