But currently GMN (modeller and mapper) has a bunch of other stuff to do as well, so it's pretty much a "when it's done" thing.(it will first require a new player model, no small task)
Further intel, seems the armor regen buggers my armor amount, it stops regen at 37 and it resets it to 37 after using a recharger and going over that. The battery packages however don't cause this reset either.
I've also noticed an extreme annoying push from teammates, resulting in being unable to sprint properly if they're in front of you(they push you back), why not simply dissalow team mates to collide complete and remove the push. Would have been easier to code too :P

I really like this approach, no time spent into visuals that can be hard to alter for gameplay changes, making for a highly gameplay oriented approach.

Seems I can't go over 37 armor to be exact when my max armor is 50.
Additonaly, swapping to a 0 in the clip 10 ammo reserve SMG due to the ammo regen when I'm clubbing someone/something can be really annoying, there seems to be no way to turn this auto swap off. Would be nice if that could be disabled in a future version.
there is, plus 3 more files, I guess the authorizer went off for food mid-authing :P
Awesome stuff, first time I really got to play this, was alot of fun :D
I chose my suit to have 50 armor max though and when using the suit rechargers they would reset it to ~35 and start charging me again, never reaching 50 and the mega charger could charge me to 50(overcharge of 50 or oversight?)
All in all, great mod, keep on updating it!
I loved this back in the day, sadly it's 2vs2 had some flaws(griefers/afkers mostly) but that can be worked out, glad to see you're back in action!

Well that's great, I've just heard from Henley on Podcast 17(live now) that you ahd some solid stuff going a few months back, so I'm starting to get pretty hyped into what those bigger plans were he mentioned :P
Like I've said though, some of my concerns and issues may have been "unfair", don't feel too bad about them, if you really have your stuff in order, I'll be trying my best to help with what I can reasonably do(I'm busy with GraviNULL after all). I'm also hoping to learn a few things from you, like how I learn about the potential of using the spoiler function.
Hmmm, that'd be a lot of things initially, even though most of them aren't entirely fair.
Mostly it's how awesome you make the mod seem, without having anything real to show for it(but this annoyance has now turned into interest :P)
The teaser as well, like I already seen someone say here or in the summary area, that could have been "faked" although I don't know why you'd do that, the effort put into this seems legit(then again, those fake tf2 updates looked pretty legit, besides being crazy, this isn't crazy though!)
I suppose there were a few other things, but I feel they're unfair after thinking this through, especially with knowing this little information.
On a more positive note, I've never seen that usage of the clicking of titles to reveal text on ModDB yet, I think that was an awesome way to present a lot of text to the players.
This newspost also made me think about using a similar way to boost popularity, in other words, pretty concept/promotional art, even if it's not really like that in game, it seems to really hype people for some reason.
Any chance I could get in touch with the creator of those pictures?
Lastly, thanks for the congrats, it's not the first public release mind, the alpha came before it, but the beta marks a step where me and the team will likely be churning out some smaller updates faster :)
Well, I've been holding off on replying for quite a while, since in short in some ways I was kinda ticked off about this.
But after giving it some thought and talking with some friends, I feel interested in trying the closed beta regardless and seeing for myself whether some of the "claims" are really true or not.
I've been a very much hobbyist focused modder for the past 2 years now as well as having experimented with making my own game with two different engines so far.
I don't know how you're gonna be selecting candidates though, but I'm used to thinking things through and giving out helpfull constructive critiscm when needed, but I can imagine with a fairly sized development team, you may be more interested in normal games over other developers.
Anyway, that teaser doesn't really tell me anything, but it makes me curious what it is you're hiding after 1 year of work on this, because surely that's not all you've got and that's part of my motivation to try this out, I wish to see what it is that has kept you guys so motivated and confident about this mod.

I agree with what's said here:
It's not so surprising, you do realize Left4Dead had a crazy amount of advertising, probably worth millions, so 300 watchers is actually fairly low, considering the popularity they could be riding off, but clearly don't seem to be so intensely, if they were, they'd have alot more watchers I'd think.
Look at Moddb.com a "mod" which somehow beat the popular mod NeoTokyo in the race of Best Upcoming Mod of 2008.
Shearly by riding off the popularity of such a well known game.
And I may be stepping on toes again here, but hey, it's true, look at the rating, 5.2 out of 164 votes, clearly the majority that bothered to vote after it released thought it wasn't such a great mod after all. So I don't think I'm lying when I say it's popularity was merely riding off Left4Dead to make it to the "top".
Watchers aren't the best indicators of popularity, views and release ratings serve as a better indicator with watchers after that.
I'd say DigiTanks is still in too early a shoes to gain a lot of popularity, but keep working hard and show people what seperates your game from the rest and makes it worth giving it a try, I'm sure the audience will be growing over time.
If you call that bashing, you haven't seen real bashing...
He's never said anything about it not being up to his standards that I saw, maybe I missed something, if not, stop putting words in other people's mouths.
Maybe DigiTanks isn't that original either, but coming up with something completely new experience is nigh immposible these days, with most of the major and sub-genre's already being thought out. It does have some elements making it stand out from other games similar to it and that's what's important.
DigiTanks at least doesn't take the approach of taking a succesfull recipe and just that over again. I'm not saying L4Q is, since I haven't been following it, but there's plenty of games that do that **** and DigiTanks isn't one of them.

And there are people that make a living off this stuff.
He's doing good work, thinking things through more than other developers, he's also doing this alone which is important to keep in mind as well.
